Works great, Powers on as soon as you plug in the usb, Only slight issue I have it seems that the left fan is stronger than tbe right fan. Other than that I am happy with it.

makes a life changing difference when im playing sims 4 on my laptop hehe

The Chill Mat does what it's intended to do; keeps my laptop cool. It's quiet, with a barely noticeable whir of the air. The cord has a storage area which should help protect the cord. My former mat died due to a broken wire that protruded from its back wall. My first Chill Mat had a noisy fan out of the box, but the replacement is working great.

My computer would overheat and slow down. This has been a dream. It perches it up to a comfortable height when working. It works well for my computer even though it is a 17" computer and is heftier than most computers. (It does have a cord to attach to the computer via USB. I thought it had a battery or charging option, but it uses the computer battery.) Also, I barely notice the sound of the fan.

Purchased this for my Dell laptop. easy connections, cools bottom of laptop pretty good. i'm not sure if it drains my battery or if its just the power needed for my gaming laptop. still a pretty quite cooling pad.

I liked this a lot, as it is both comfortable when you place it on your lap, and it also helps cool the laptop. However, it's not very powerful, so I don't think that it cools it down too much. I did not have a problem with it though. It is also very quiet, you don't hear it at all, and the USB connection is easy to use.

Runs well with out a lot of sound, does help my gaming laptop run cooler but the vents are more toward the middle while the vents for my PC is near the back so I have to adjust for that. Would give 5 stars if fans where near the back like on most laptops .

I recently purchased the Targus-Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat Cooling System and was pleasantly surprised how much I enjoyed saying it’s name out loud. I told my friends about the Targus- Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat Cooling System but they’re imaginary. I then told my family about the Targus - Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat Cooling System and they said this wasnt the time as we were at a funeral. I’m still positive my dead grandpa would want to hear about how wonderful of a product the Targus - Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat Cooling System is

This chill mat helps keep space between the bottom of the laptop to help with heat dissipation. Fans could be stronger, but overall a good deal.

Bought this in order to keep my MacBook on my lap while working. Have used other ones but the fans started making loud noise. So far this one has been great..... Very comfortable to put on my lap and fans keep my Mac cool......

The Targus Dual Fan Laptop Mat is great! It keeps your work surface cool whether it is your lap or table. The fans are quiet. It is great even without the fans running to keep a level surface to work on. The non-slip pads are very helpful in keeping my laptop from slipping around even when carrying.

Simple to use. Works really well. Easily connects to usb.

Keeps my computer cooler when using for several hours. The fan noise is barely noticeable. I am not fond of the height it adds, would like it better if it had a slight forward tilt. My 17 inch laptop hangs over the edges a bit but does not skip or slide.

since my alienware laptop overheats (it reaches 95c sometimes), i needed laptop chill pad not to damage cpu and gpu. while i browsed products at best buy, i saw this targus one. it does decent job at cooling hot machines but i wished it had more vent fans so that more areas of bottom of laptop get cooled. but its solid machine

I purchased this pad to keep my MacBook cool when it was on my lap. The pad was able to make my MacBook run about 3°C cooler. When using it with a gaming laptop it's performance wasn't that great, it wasnt able to bring down the temperature at all. For light users the pad is great, but for users who really push the limit of their laptop, this is not for you.

I recommend fans for Laptops that are used daily and for constant sitting periods to keep from getting too hot and extend life of Laptop. This one plugs into laptop and laptop is power source for fan. Got a lower cost fan and seems to work for now. Not bulky. Can use as lap pad for laptop and not use fan but sit laptop over vents. For size 15 to 17 inch laptop I would say.

I really wanted to like the Targus Dual Fan Lap Chill Mat because on paper it sounded like exactly what I needed—lightweight, portable cooling that would make using my laptop on the couch or in bed a lot more comfortable. Unfortunately, it just didn’t live up to expectations, and I ended up returning it. The main issue was the fans. They simply weren’t powerful enough to make any meaningful difference in temperature. Even after running it for a while, I couldn’t feel the kind of airflow that would actually cool the underside of my laptop. On top of that, the fans were louder than I expected. Instead of a soft background hum, it had a noticeable whirring sound that became distracting pretty quickly. For a device meant to make laptop use more comfortable, added noise is the last thing you want—especially if you’re working, watching videos, or trying to relax. I don’t mind a cooling pad making some noise if it’s powerful, but this one had the noise without the cooling performance to match. The build itself is okay—lightweight, stable enough on your lap, and the angle is comfortable—but those positives just didn’t outweigh the core problem. Cooling pads live or die by fan performance, and this one didn’t deliver. I had high hopes for it because Targus usually makes reliable accessories, and the price point made it seem like a solid value. That’s part of why the experience felt disappointing. It wasn’t terrible, but it wasn’t helpful either, which makes it hard to justify keeping. If you're looking for substantial cooling or quieter operation, this model may not be the right fit. It might work for someone with a low-heat laptop or very light usage, but for anything more demanding, there are better, more effective cooling mats out there.
