    I wanted the DR-05 because of the brand TASCAM. I've had product in the past from TASCAM and they are known to last! Secondly for it's max time recording. Last thing I want is my recorder shutting down in a key moment. And lastly, the consensus is that the DR-05 sounds better than what's out there. Better quality and long lasting, sounds like a winner to me!
