I ordered this monitor to be used for work and play, and I've got to say I'm really impressed! The refresh rate is awesome and greatly improved my husband's COD game performance lol. The mini-led screen is crystal clear and has very accurate colors which I appreciate for my design work (these pictures don't do it justice!). The only downside is that the speakers are pretty typical for a monitor, so I'd suggest an external sound system if you'll be using a lot of audio. All in all, I'm very satisfied with this monitor and the price point was great too!

Really impressed with this TCL monitor. The Mini-LED contrast and HDR look great after a quick calibration, and 1440p at 180Hz is smooth and responsive for gaming. Colors pop, motion is clean, and it feels way nicer than I expected for the price. Solid build and an easy buy if you want great image quality without paying OLED prices.

I bought this monitor to replace a 32-in LG 4K one that got damaged. The brightness and colors were a huge improvement. The 1440p resolution is also better when trying to run two monitors off a laptop. Built-In stand is also great as it provides height and tilt adjustment. Overall, I am very pleased with the purchase.

The TCL 32" G64 Series QHD HDR Mini QLED gaming monitor is a welcome surprise to my home office/gaming setup. The monitor looks sleek and offers many effective features to improve my gaming experience. The QHD monitor displays at 2560 x 1440p resolution, offering clear, crisp picture quality for gaming or viewing text. This monitor excels for gaming with its advanced 180Hz refresh rate. The action sequences in the various games I tested were incredibly smooth and responsive in all circumstances. Precise dimming technology improves contrast and black levels, keeping me focused on the in-game action. The monitor's 600 nits of brightness provide excellent illumination for games with dark scenes, improving visibility. The 178-degree ultra-high viewing angle allows for great visibility from virtually any angle in front of the monitor so as I move around I can always stay locked in on the action. The 1ms response time eliminates lag, and the screen remains clear during fast motion. The rear of the monitor has two HDMI inputs, one DisplayPort input, and a headphone jack. The anti glare and anti reflective screen makes it ideal for my office/gaming room because the light conditions always vary in my home area. The screen is tiltable, and height adjustable. The monitor also rotates 90 degrees to be portrait or landscape, depending on your preference. This monitor includes fun, gaming-specific features, such as game aiming, which displays four different crosshair types on screen, making my FPS games a tad bit more user-friendly. Precisely pinpointing of hostiles while gaming saves me milliseconds and is a nice boost to my aid. The Dark Field Control is a great way to brighten dark details within games and allows me to see more clearly so nobody or nothing can be hiding in the dark scenes. The real time frame rate can be displayed on the screen during game place to give me feedback of how many my current frame rate is during the action. AMD FreeSync ensures a tear free and lag free game graphic at all times. There are multiple game scenario modes built into the monitor that allow for changes in brightness and settings such as standard, office, FPS,RPG, RCG games. There are built in stereo speakers with this monitor so it helps to keep extra accessories off my desk as the sound is immersive and complete. The joystick button located on the bottom of the monitor panel is easy to use and effective to cycle through the on screen prompts to adjust settings and display preference. And also to ease the stress on the eyes, there is industry leading eye care certification that ensures flicker free and low blue light to help protect the eyes. Fantastic monitor that impresses me more than I was expecting. The 32" screen feels massive for gaming, hitting my sweet spot for a large view for both gaming and use as a home office monitor.

The TCL 32G64 QD-Mini LED Gaming Monitor series is here to elevate your gaming experience with its impressive light-emitting technology, High Contrast HVA Panel, and 336 Precise Dimming Zones, offering OLED-quality displays at a fraction of the cost. As you open the box, you’ll find the monitor base and arm nestled in the shipping Styrofoam. You’ll immediately notice the solid feel of the base and monitor arm, both crafted from CNC aluminum. Removing the display panel is a breeze—just grab the ends of the Styrofoam and lift it out. Next, place the display packing on its side and remove the top half to reveal the display itself. Interestingly, the display wasn’t protected with plastic, which is a unique choice. Once the display is out of the packaging, set it aside for now. Then, grab the monitor base and attach it to the bottom of the monitor arm, hand-tightening the fastening bolt. Now, place the display upside down on a flat surface, ensuring the display packing sleeve is laid down to protect the panel. Insert the monitor arm into the slots on the back of the display panel and push down to lock it in place. That’s it—you’re all set with the assembly. Stand the monitor upright and plug in the power cable. Just a heads-up, the monitor only comes with a Display Port cable, so you’ll need to bring your own HDMI cable. Next, connect it to your favorite device. Power on the monitor by pressing the joystick button below the bezel in the middle of the display. Pressing the joystick button again will bring up the menu to configure settings. Now, let’s take a look at the pros and cons of this gaming monitor: Pros: 1. 32-inch QHD 2560 x 1440p Mini-LED 180Hz Display 2. HDR600 of exceptional brightness and deep contrast 3. 336 Local Dimming Zones for near OLED Blacks 4. Excellent Build Quality 5. Fully adjustable stand Cons: 1. HDR Quality in Microsoft Windows isn’t quite up to par 2. Limited configurable settings 3. It has stereo speakers that aren’t very good. 4. It only comes with a Display Port Cable. 5. You’ll need to adjust a bit to get the color and contrast just right. In the end, the TCL 32” G64 Series QHD Mini-LED Gaming Monitor is a great choice for gamers on a budget who want a 32” screen that can really shine and show colors well, especially if you tweak it a little.

The TCL 32” G64 at glance a well suitable for game with fast refresh rate (180Hz). It provides vibrant, deep black, and at the end during the game does give an immersive experience. The QHD (2560*1440) includes 1 DisplayPort 1.5, 2 HDMI 2.1, 1 3.5 Audio Jack. It also includes an integrated 3W Stereo Speaker. Aside of the ports, the QD-Mini LED, being panel type Fast-HVA, it is quite complete display as it has Rheinland Low Blue Light Certification, Precise Dimming Series, HDR600nits, 96%DCI-P3 Ultra High Color Gamut, and FreeSync & G-SYNC Compatible. Now, on connecting to the notebook or desktop is quite standard, nothing new in this aspect. Its accessories for stand, and being compatible with universal mounting system size help to either use the stand that is included or use arm stand. Then changing setting controls from the monitor is not very different, but has to remark it has dimming zone of 336, while compared to other brands and model that has more than 1,000 and 2,000 inclusive. But naturally the balancing between the display type, and other conditions make G64 quite fine. Playing the game long hours during night didn’t feel fatigue per se compared to using non gaming monitors. (Take this aspect as first impression reference as the actual result might vary depending the person and time played). On controlling the direction or moving from landscape to portrait and reverse is practical. Switching the cables doesn’t get entangled, or on the way in the process. Just a little step that kind of scratch the head. To rotate landscape mode to vertical, have to change a bit the angle as turning downward in order to move fully. Otherwise it doesn’t have space to turn when it is done from landscape mode straight turning to vertical. In overall it is good monitor for gaming, it has good dimming and does’t reflect against light or at least it controls well, doesn’t make eyes burden fast. Good image and quality and fast response for games. Only thing I would have liked is a pair of USB-C port.

This is a perfect example of a performance-first screen, on the right setting. Less worries about the aesthetics, and more focus on the gameplay. I know a lot of people obsess over how a monitor looks sitting on a desk, but honestly, the hardware design is decent. I don’t really mind the look as I am more focused on performance. It’s sturdy enough without trying had to be different in terms of stand / bezel design, and fits into my setup without being a distraction. The screen itself is light and the stand is very stable. The ports are basic, so again, no frills and straightforward approach. When I first turned it on, I found the graphic details a bit soft right out of the box. You might notice the blacks look quite gray—it's not deep pitch black— I don’t even expect OLED blacks—there are a good amount of monitors who can manage that dynamic range of hitting decent blacks without being a true OLED screen-- but the blacks and shadows are decent for the price point. It’s perfectly fine once you are actually in the game. The colors are good—not as wide from dark to brights but they are crisp at the right points like muscle contours or bright fiery red rocks vs their burnt edges. It took me some getting used to the panel but when I’m fully adjusted, it’s is just right. The overall performance is where this thing shines. It is fast after putting it on the fastest setting. I do not see any screen tears, even on crazy game action with full-on magic and effects. Just like my other gear, I need something I can rely on night in and night out without fussing over settings—just set once and go, and this keeps up with the pace easily. The size is great—I don’t think I can even go back to a 27. The details are decent. The performance is fast. So far so good. I like it. I thought I might be bothered by the soft details, but the speed makes up for it. It is a solid choice if you just want to play without the headache.

The TCL 32 G64 Series QHD HDR QD-Mini LED Gaming Monitor impressed me due to its performance as well as its design and more. First it arrived well packaged and intact, it was very easy to assemble as well as fast. The QD-Mini LED panel offers amazing visuals; the QHD resolution (2560x1440) makes text very sharp and while gaming everything is nicely detailed. TCL's offers its Halo Control System and precise dimming, the highlights are bright, and blacks are deep, and the monitor handles the content correctly due to its awesome brightness. As for the colors, they are vibrant and accurate, it is perfect for me since I do both, I do edit photos and videos as well as do plenty of gaming. The monitor offers a very smooth response, with minimum ghosting. When it comes to gaming, it excels, the refresh rate is great and smooth and the monitor can be customized to a lower refresh rate if needed. The stand is adjustable and it tilts so it is perfect for different scenarios, and it can also be installed on a stand. The navigation of the monitor is easy, I got to learn it very fast, it has a joystick that I can use to make changes to the monitor without guessing or trying to find more buttons. The speakers just like other monitors, are not the best since the monitor is thin, it does offer nice sound but I always rather listen to my headphones or added speakers anyway. I do like that it has multiple HDMI ports and it also has a DisplayPort so it can play well with my PC, laptop and my consol. In conclusion the TCL 32" G64 Series QHD HDR QD-Mini LED Gaming Monitor does offer premium quality to both creators and gamers. It performs great with a very nice colorful, bright as well as smooth display for everyone in the family.

TCL has become a pretty respected name in the television space. As someone who has used TCL products and been satisfied, I was interested to see how the G64 performed. After a decent amount of time with the product, I can say the TCL G64 is another product from TCL that has left me satisfied. Setup for the G64 was relatively easy. Connecting to the base didn't require me to provide special tools, which, I always appreciate. While I originally used the base, mounting the monitor was just as easy. You have two HDMI ports and a DP port (DP port required for the 180 hz refresh rate) so that felt about right. Setup in regards to the settings...I originally went with the default. The picture is solid out of the box. The 32" 1440P display looks great. It being a QD-Mini LED, I did adjust the local dimming to high in attempt to increase the blackness of the blacks. The combination of the 1440p, 180 refresh rate (via display port) and 1 ms response time is a pretty sweet spot for modern gaming. If you need over 180 refresh rate, you can probably have solid performance at 4k. The HDR600, is...Ok. It's better than HDR400. The G64 features internal speakers...use a headset. If you're watching a video on Youtube, they work fine, however, like most monitors with internal speakers, if you're gaming, use a headset. Image quality was clearly the focus with the TCL G64. TCL's success at making television sets is clearly transferring over to their work with gaming monitors as the G64 is a strong option for those looking for 1440p gaming. While not perfect, I could easily recommend this to someone looking for a top tier 1440p monitor to game on.

I’ve found the TCL G64 to be a great gaming monitor, with a 2560x1440 display and 180 hertz refresh rate over DisplayPort and lightning-fast response time I can see and react to everything on the screen. Visually everything is very sleek, matte finishes, sharp lines, a very thin bevel, and the control knob is accessible and easy to use. Unfortunately, there are no USB ports on this model, but there is a 3.5 audio jack. Monitor brightness is very good in both SDR and HDR mode, showing vibrant colors even in a well-lit room, while maintaining some of the deepest blacks I’ve seen outside of OLED panels. The included monitor stand is easy to set up and has a surprisingly small desk footprint, while still feeling stable and providing height, tilt, lateral, and rotational adjustment. Speakers are about what you would expect; they’ll do in a pinch, but it’s no substitution for a dedicated audio setup. While I feel the HVA panel has a slightly wider viewing angle than a standard VA panel, it’s still best to keep it relatively close and centered. Overall, I really like and recommend this monitor; it shows the start of an exciting future for micro-led gaming monitors.

The TCL 32G64 is an extremely solid, higher refresh rate, well lit gaming monitor. For a first gaming monitor that I’ve seen from them, it's a very good overall display, with just a few caveats. Cons - The 32G64 has just a few cons, so I thought I would get them out of the way. The OSD is pretty bad, like most monitors I’ve seen in the last 5-10 years have better menus and setup. Some of the settings make little sense to me having them buried in multiple menus, plus having a giant FPS counter in the top corner may work for some, but I would rather just use the nice scaled down ones built into steam/whatever game you’re playing. The grey color looks good enough, but the choice of plastic is not. The back of the monitor/overall plastics feels too cheap for this value class. It also has zero USB and comes with just the power adapter/cable and one DisplayPort cable. Pros - Solid build/crazy strong feeling mount. Extremely well packed in its box, you can tell that while TCL hasn’t done monitors as much, they sure know how to keep a display safe during shipping. Dimming zones are legit, and the HDR works well. Playing BF6 and others look GREAT, shadowy areas look dark, but still maintain visible contrast. (all of my testing was with HDR on and the highest dimming zone setting) The only monitors that I’ve personally seen that look better are OLED’s in a much different value class! Great first monitor from TCL (at least that's available in the US) with only minor issues that don’t interfere with a great gaming experience!

I got this monitor to be used in a variety if situations (office, gaming, work etc…). The item arrived as expected and was well packaged. Unboxing was a breeze and the installation very simple. The install of the base and stand was simple with a well designed quick connect. One thing i did wish the product came with is an HDMI cable or instead of the display port. However most people have one laying around. I was also impressed with the picture quality of the mini led monitor. I have a TCL mini led TV so was familar with the technology and quality. Detail was sharp and the monitor performs well both with brightness and shadow detail. Overall i am very happy with the purchase. Still need more time gaming with the monitor to provide a detailed reveiw and will update if my opinion chnages.

You ever buy something thinking, “Alright, it’ll do for now,” and then it ends up completely blowing your mind? Yeah, that’s exactly what happened when I got the opportunity to test out the new TCL G64. I just wanted a decent display for my setup that I could use for gaming and work but turns out, got the best of both worlds. So, let’s go over what TCL G64 has to offer. Specs: HEIGHT: 23.46 INCHES WIDTH: 28.07 INCHES DEPTH 11.81 INCHES (With Stand) WEIGHT 19.16 POUNDS Ports: 1 x Display Port 1.4 2 x HDMI Headphone Jack Unboxing and Setup Setting up the TCL G64 monitor is straightforward and user-friendly. Like many modern monitors, assembly is a breeze thanks to a simple, tool-free screw mechanism located at the bottom of the stand. This means you can get the monitor up and running quickly without searching for any extra tools. Inside the box, you’ll find a display port cable and a power cord included, but it’s important to note that HDMI cables are not provided. If you plan on connecting via HDMI, you’ll need to have your own cable ready. One aspect that immediately stands out during unboxing is the monitor’s appearance. The TCL G64 features a matte gray and black finish that gives it a sleek, modern look. This stylish design adds a premium touch to your setup right out of the box. Display Quality and Performance The core strength of the TCL G64 monitor lies in its exceptional display. Featuring a QHD resolution of 2560x1440, the screen delivers sharp and detailed visuals that far surpass those of standard 1080p displays. This resolution is particularly well-suited to the monitor's size, ensuring that images and text appear crisp and clear, whether you're working or gaming. Color quality is another standout feature. The monitor produces bright, punchy, and incredibly clear colors that make every scene pop. With support for HDR10 and Quantum Dot technology, the TCL G64 brings out remarkable detail in both dark and bright scenes, allowing for a truly immersive viewing experience. When it comes to gaming, the combination of a 180Hz refresh rate and a lightning-fast 1ms response time means gameplay is ultra-smooth and highly responsive. Fast-paced games look crisp and run seamlessly, making every session both fun and enjoyable. All in all, after spending way too many hours “testing” this monitor (for research, of course), I can confidently say TCL nailed it. It’s fast, bright, and good-looking, everything I wish I was. If you’re upgrading your setup, this is one purchase you won’t regret.

TCL Improves Gaming Monitor's Cinematic Experience

I've had the TCL 32G64 Series QHD QD-Mini LED 180Hz gaming monitor set up for a bit now, running it with a mix of Apex, some open-world games, and my usual productivity stuff. I was curious to see how the whole Mini LED thing panned out compared to the standard IPS panel I had before. The 180Hz refresh rate is nice, but at this point is practically a minimum requirement for me given the monitors I’ve been reviewing and using.Right out of the box, the first thing you notice is the picture quality. The QD-Mini LED panel really does pop. Colors are super vibrant thanks to that Quantum Dot layer, and the local dimming on the Mini LEDs means you actually get deep blacks. Like, they're not OLED-level perfect, but they're surprisingly close. It's a huge step up from typical edge-lit monitors where black often looks more like a dark gray. This difference is especially great in games with dark scenes or watching movies. Setup was pretty straightforward. Plugged it into my PC via DisplayPort, went into the settings, and made sure it was running at the full 180Hz. It was detected without issue. The stand is actually pretty decent – it's sturdy and lets you adjust tilt, swivel, and even pivot the monitor, which is a nice touch for a monitor in this price bracket. There’s pretty much no height adjustment so I ended up transferring this to my monitor arm. The manual explains how to remove it from the stand but if you’ve done this on similar stands, the process is pretty much the same. The on-screen display (OSD) and buttons on the back are a bit generic, not super intuitive, but they get the job done once you find your way around. The menu isn't the snappiest thing in the world, a little slow to respond, but you're not in there constantly so it's fine. You get a joystick on the bottom to navigate menus and it worked pretty well that I wasn’t accidentally doing things I did not intend. Selection is sure, doesn’t leave you guessing whether you’ve pressed enough. Out of the box the brightness was a bit high for my room, and the color seemed okay, maybe a touch cool. A few tweaks in the settings for a warmer temperature and lowering the brightness made it look great. Text on the QHD resolution at 32 inches looks clean and I didn't need any scaling. With gaming, the monitor does well. The 180Hz refresh rate at this point isn’t anything too special, but if you’ve been using a 144Hz or slower panel, you still pick up on the improvmenet. Everything feels just a bit smoother, a little cleaner, and tracking fast-moving targets in Apex felt more natural. The 1ms GtG response time definitely helps with motion clarity, and I didn't really notice any ghosting on the default settings. It supports FreeSync Premium and G-Sync, which is a must-have, so no screen tearing at all. The only real downside are the built-in speakers; they're pretty weak. They work if you have absolutely nothing else, but you'll want dedicated speakers or headphones for any kind of immersive sound. There's a useful USB-C port with power delivery, which is great for people with a work laptop, and a built-in KVM switch, though one thing I saw noted online was a potential issue with the USB-A ports on the KVM not waking sleeping devices, so maybe that's something to keep in mind if that's a key feature for you. Overall, I'm really impressed. For the price, the TCL 32G64 offers a fantastic picture with the QD-Mini LED tech, fast refresh rate for smooth gaming, and proper HDR support. It's a huge value and a great middle ground for someone who wants the deep blacks and vibrant colors of high-end displays without breaking the bank. Would I recommend it? Absolutely, if you want a great all-rounder for gaming and general use.

    My New Primary Monitor

I have never owned a TCL monitor or television so I was eager to try this latest offer from TCL. But since I have heard good things about TCL televisions I was expecting good things. After several days of heavy use became very familiar with this monitor and can happily report the G64 provides top notch picture quality and gaming performance. Not only does it check all of the boxes, but the picture quality totally blew me away. This monitor is now my new primary display. As can be expected the shipping g box it large due to the sheer size of the 32 inch display. However I found the monitor to be rather lightweight and easy to handle. Assembly was straightforward and consisted of attaching the stand to display portion. Once connected my PC took over and recognized the monitor. The monitor offers DisplayPort and HDMI connections, to suit your preferred or required connection method. The monitor has and integrated speaker for sound. The sound was tiny so I am using it with headphones. If you want ambient sound then I recommend using it with an external speaker. I used it extensively for several days and truly enjoyed the picture quality. Blacks are deep and colors are accurate. Gaming performance was likewise excellent. When set to the proper resolution yo match your graphics card, lag is virtually nonexistent. I completely recommend the TCL G64. It is not my primary monitor and because of my experience I will be looking very closely at TCL products in the future.

It’s nice to see TCL in the gaming business. They tend to have affordable screens, but I hadn’t tried them with games. One of the features I quickly appreciated was the FreeSync and G-Sync support. Having a few gaming PCs, I often get frustrated when the monitors I like the best won’t work as well with some of them due to the support of only one of these features because of the different GPUs that are used in the different PCs. At 1ms response time along with its 180Mhz refresh rate, I could hardly notice any lag at all. No motion blur either even in the fast action scenes. MiniLED surprised me because the black levels are very close to OLED. To be honest, in most scenes it was hard for me to tell the difference, especially because brightness in many cases was better. The only time I could tell it was not OLED was when looking at it from certain angles. Still, that’s rarely the way you look at a monitor. After all, it’s not a TV. Of course, it is a middle of the range monitor. Because It is also very good for video editing although I would still go with a more advanced monitor for very serious work, I wish I could try its more advanced sibling because I believe it would be just the perfect monitor for everything, not just for gaming. Still, for my current gaming needs, this is just the right monitor for the job. Especially considering the size. I would easily recommend this gaming monitor, not only because of its affordability for this kind, but also because of its display quality and features.
