I am satisfied with my purchase. The quality is excellent! The screen is a great size and the color is very vibrant. Very easy set up. Would recommend and purchase again. 4/5 because 1 week in I had to unplug it so it would turn back on.

I quite like this model. This was my first TCL and I wasn't sure what to expect as when I grew up, in my household it was always a "lower level brand" and my father would have looked at me sideways had I bought him one 20 years ago. Well,let me tell YOU (or him actually) lol. This TV packs quite a bunch. Even after my initial shock of a smart tv let alone 40in under $100 wore off. I continue to discover features I never knew about ?! Yes im the person who nearly alphabetically stores the instruction booklets from all appliances and electronics but do not date look in there. As far as features, right off the bat, the setup process from out of box to watching your favorite Netflix gossip show is literally like 2-3. I love that they chose FireTV as the layout for this unit. It's so (insert any age 0-105) friendly. The brightness that is standard level is QUITE bright and there is still room for adjustment,if you're one of those bright color lalas".. I like how easy it is to get to the Live/Local channels. Just a few clicks from home screen. With a GOOD antenna (one that's like $8 on the zon Free shipping of course), I can seek and program about 80 channels for pops. When I first set it up and didn't have antenna in hand I she ol' clothes pin,metal back of earring etc....channel search and got like have of that. So either way. My friend. You cannot go wrong with this unit. P.S. it's so light with it's tiny littles baby feet for stands.

good picture, a good price, and light, looks great. Solid TV. the only negative was that it could not find my wifi. by adding my external firestick, that issue was solved. I'm sure the internal one is working, but needs to be at a different frequency.

I waited to review. Read so many reviews before and after purchasing. This TV is more amazing than I thought it would be after reading reviews. Perfect size for bedroom. It literally does everything. I love it more every day. Crystal clear picture. When I first set it up I was nervous about the picture. Very easy set up. It does so much. I also read about the sound. If you know how to regulate the sound like any other TV, it's not hard. For me, this TV is excellent.

Have not been the biggest fan of Fire TV but this TV has impressed me. This is definitely a 'value' TV in that it's not a 4K or anything super impressive, but it is reliable, looks great and intuitively easy to use and work with. I would definitely but it again. ;)

Great TV with only one small negative. I bought this as a bedroom TV and the picture is excellent. Had to do a reset when Amazon set up got stuck in a loop everytime I turned it on, but with the excellent chat help feature at TCL it was resolved. The ONLY negative is the bright light at the bottom of the unit that is on when the TV is off, and off when the TV is on. It's bright enough to light up a whole room!Seems it should be off when the TV is off! Ended up putting Black tape over 90% of the lioght, can't cover it all because the remote needs that to function. Minor niggle on an otherwise good TV.

For the price not a bad deal I would recommend for casual tv watching Haven’t played any games yet so I have no idea how they look

These were Christmas gifts for my grandkids. They love them. Very easy to set up. No extra cords necessary. Great picture and color was excellent. Thinking about purchasing myself one.

Light weight, easy set up, clear and crisp picture.

We replaced our smaller TV with this 40” TCL. Definite improvement all across the board —picture quality and better sound. Even the process of joining our network and installing our channels was much easier and faster. We will need to replace a >50” TV that was recently irrevocably damaged. It will be with another TCL.

I got an incredible price for this TV during a pre-black Friday sale. The size is nice, it fits well in my bedroom. I'm a Prime member so having Fire TV as the default startup works for me. The color is good. Having cut the cord, the over the air antenna works well - getting more channels than my previous TV with the same setup. I like being able to use bluetooth to listen to the TV through my noise cancelling headphones. The sound from the TV itself is only so-so. Knocked off one star for it. Wish the remote had voice activation.

Bought this for my daughter for Christmas and it was a good price for the size! I would definitely buy another one! Super nice tv!

Havent had this tv more than a day but it makes you want to update all your tvs if you get over the air broadcasts thru an antenna. It has a built in guide just like you would get thru a cable provider AND you have the ability to rewind the channel your watching. Complete game changer to a tv i bought on a black friday deal becayse of its size and its built in fire tv and ability to use an ethernet connection to cut down on wifi connections. Tv is light and easily wall mountable. Tv and fire tv all run on the same interface so no need to change inputs. Buy this tv or buy a bigger version but it is highly recommended by me. If i could find a place to put another one i would easily but it again.

I purchased 4 of these TV's for our bunk rooms at the station and we love them!! They are a nice size, clear picture, easy to set up. An added bonus is the smart tv selections, watching favorite shows or programs is easy! Very pleased with this purchase!!

Mainly bought it for my kids, crazy value at $120 for 4k resolution and the sounds quality for the speaker is not bad for the price. It just take some getting use to fire tv menu compared to the google tv I am use too but my kids live it regardless. And since it’s a smart tv with WiFi no need run wire to the rooms just connect WiFi. It pretty bright but the viewing angle from side to side is not that great almost like it has a privacy screen if you look for the sides. Overall for $120 with 4k resolution and decent sound quality, smart tv with downloaded able apps you can’t go wrong.
