Great picture! Caught it on sale. Easy menu to work with. I logged into YouTube and watched some streaming 4k, very nice for the money. Setup didn’t take long at all to my services!

This is a great tv so easy to get started with all your apps on Roku. The picture is great with lots of options for adjustments for picture and sound. Also great delivery too.

Good value. TV wall mounted in Bedroom. Roku operating system superior to most TV streaming platforms. Only Insignia FireTV can rival. Picture quality is excellent. Well worth paying a few more dollars for the 4k.

I decided on this model after reviewing the rtings.com website and their evaluation of 40, 42, and 43" televisions. The TCL model was one of their recommendations in the budget category and their detailed testing indicated to me that it was by far the best TV for the low price I got at BestBuy. This set was actually an open box which made the value even higher. I have been very satisfied with it's performance. No, it's not comparable to an OLED set, but it has excellent blacks and is a great addition to my RV!

BestBuy requested this review, so I am submitting it. My only criteria for this TV (to replace an existing one) was 4K and an appropriate size. This 43" TCL Model 43S455 meets those criteria. I think the picture and sound quality are great -- everything I expected. However, I am disappointed, and it is mostly my fault. Based on looking at a half dozen TVs on websites over a couple of months, I knew that any modern 4K TV would be "smart" and that the remote control would emphasize streaming, not direct access to broadcast TV channels. That meant no number keys on the remote control. I also determined that inexpensive "universal" remote controls with number buttons are widely available for every brand of TV, including TCL. However, my research did not reveal that NO such remote control that I can find currently supports this >>2022 TCL Roku<< TV. I purchased (and returned) two that said they worked on all TCL TVs, but they did not operate this TV. I then researched in detail at least a dozen more. In that research, I found NO mention or information on this specific Model 43S455 TV. The couple of reviews of a remote control that mentioned >>TCL Roku<< said the number keys did not work. The only fault I can cite for TCL as a manufacturer is that I find absolutely no documentation, user manual, technical specs, or anything else online about this Model 43S455 other than the inadequate "Let's get started" pamphlet packed in the box with the TV, I found nothing about this TV on Youtube. I can only hope that TCL -- or someone -- publishes online info about a working remote control for this 2022 model in the near future. If you want a streaming Roku TV, you might like this one very well. I don't want that, and I cannot recommend this TV to anyone like myself who wants to select broadcast TV channels with number buttons.

We got this TV for my mom to enjoy in her bedroom. Prior to this she was still watching a tube TV. We haven't mounted it and have it on a bookcase which seems to be the perfect height for her to enjoy watching. She really loves it and is appreciative of the fantastic picture quality and crisp sounds. Nature shows are her favorite and the images are top tier in my opinion. This is our first TCL TV and I would definitely consider buying another. I typically purchase Samsungs and Hisense flatscreens for my house for reference

Very good picture. Super easy to setup! I wish it had a bit more fine tuning controls in the AV menus, but it was a great replacement for my burned out TV.

For a budget TV, the picture is very nice. Using the Xbox Series X, there's no noticeable lag and the picture is also great. The operating system is very quick and snappy and we've had no issues with any of the apps. All the apps run over wifi and we've noticed no connection issues at all. It sits next to our LG C1 OLED which makes this TV appear darker, but it's still plenty bright enough to utilize the HDR. This was purchased as a second TV for our man cave and it was an EXCELLENT choice.
