I got this tv on sale, got points, got more points for using BB card. Happy with the price but it's a great Tv at it's price point either way. Great picture even when it's not 4K, excellent when it is 4K. Good sound for when it's not hooked up to sound bar. Comes with Google tv - a great centralized app/hub/menu for all your selected streaming services. Easy setup. 3 hdmis and an optical on the back. I don't love the remote but I think I can get use to it. Oh one night it turned on by itself and the next day the volume shot up about half way loud after being very low. I reset it that day and made sure the remote (not the remote control) access was off and haven't had any more issues. I would recommend, especially if it's on sale. Oh FYI it works with Google home but not Alexa - I'd give 5 star rating if it did.

I am very pleased with the picture quality, and actually the audio quality. It's speakers are tuned for dialogue, and are actually better than the dialogue mode from the Visio 2.1 V-Series soundbar that I own. (It won't do music or action/music movies justice though.) The picture quality mode automatically changes based on the output, and I always agree with the change. It's biggest downside is it's software. It is often slow, and sometimes it outright freezes, even prohibiting me from initiating a restart, which is very frustrating. Overall I am satisfied with the TV, but the software definitely takes the enjoyment down a notch.

Great picture and audio.TCL TVs have shown to offer great value over the past few years. They're a relative newcomer, but they came in with quite a strong splash by associating themselves with Roku for their smart features (check out our article on the best Roku TVs). TCL is growing as a company and releasing models that compete with other giants like Sony and Samsung. While they're traditionally known for their basic models with limited features, some of their recent releases feature the latest technology, including Mini LED backlighting, Quantum Dot layers, and even an 8k model. They're often available at a lower cost than their competitors, and most people should be pleased with their higher-end models.

The right features a great price - the first one I purchased online was DOA - dropped it off at my Local store and they sent a new one that is working fine

At first, I had no problems with his TV and picture and sounds was really good. Thereafter it started acting up with home screen freezing or flickering. The TV died 1.5 years after I bought it.

Tv works beautifully. The sound quality is wonderful and the smart features are easy to use.

It's not bad for the price and the quality of the tv. I liked it so far, no issue or any problem. I would buy it again for the price I paid.

I bought this as a spare TV and did not regret it. Good color and clarity. It is my first 4k TV and will most likely replace my current main TV with a 4k of comparable size. The funny part was that for a little bit more ($30), I could have gotten a much bigger one. The reason I gave it 4 stars is that I am not a fan of Google TV and the way it was updated. In all fairness, I knew it was google TV, and even though I have mostly Amazon-type devices, I am even less of a fan of the Fire TV. I find both Google TV and Amazon TV too cluttered. I want an easy interface (I usually have ROKU add-on equipment, but in this case, the TV speaker lacks any true power like almost every other TV in the market, including much more expensive ones. Having said that, I decided to connect my Amazon Studio speaker and amped up the sound quality. Unfortunately, my ROKU devices do not connect to Bluetooth speakers other than the Roku-branded smart streaming TV bar. Instead, I decided to give Apple TV 4k a try and will most likely not be going back. So to sum up TV picture quality is good. The sound quality is mediocre at best. Streaming OS cluttered. Since I knew about the sound and the OS going in I only deducted 1 star.

Was looking for a mid-size smart TV and decided on this one - the Google TV experience is on par with the other Android TV-based smart TV we bought earlier, but Google TV does seem to curate the content a bit better. I don't subscribe to a ton of streaming services (Netflix and Prime only) but the TV has been pretty responsive when switching apps (live TV, Netflix, Prime, YouTube). Got it on sale so I'd say it was a good buy given the price paid and the quality of the product received. I'd definitely buy another TCL TV in the future.

I was nervous about buying this TV after reading the review but i can say ive had NO issues with it and its been in my possession for over a year. Great TV for a great value.

Best TV i’ve ever bought the quality is picture perfect and looks like i’m with whoever i’m watching but the user interface is a little bit to get used too but overall I really enjoy the TV

First the quality of the display is great for the price point (regardless if you pay full price or get it on sale). Google TV is easy to navigate. Setup was seamless and easy. My only complaint on this TV, which would apply to ANY brand using Google TV's operating system interface is that a child account can't change inputs. So, if you plan to use this TV for a minor and expect them to be able to switch inputs from their Xbox to Nintendo Switch, for example, you will be greatly disappointed. I did not know that was a limitation of a child account. I understand the reasoning behind it, but at the same time it truly limits core functionality of using a TV with a gaming console. To work around this, I reset the TV and set it up in "dumb" mode where Google TV was not activated or added to my google account. Again, this is not a TCL issue, this applies to any brand using Google TV. Hopefully Google will allow access to switch between approved inputs on a child account soon.
