Great Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this tv for my bedroom. Hooked up my xbox one x to it and it looks great. This tv is a very inexpensive way to get 4K and HDR for your xbox or PS4. Also was surprised by the Roku interface being so simple and easy to use.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We bought our 49" TCL Roku TV the day before super bowl for two reasons. We wanted to step up from our 24in TV we had for many years and to "cut the cord" with a TV that included Roku. So far no problems with this TV that I have seen others comment about. Roku menu is well designed. Picture quality is great. Easy to setup. The Roku remote is a little small for my hands but a good size for the spouse. The remote is too smooth on the bottom and always slips from my hand like a bar of soap. I do like that the remote has quick buttons for DirecTV Now and other popular streaming services. Roku should add a quick button for Over The Air Antenna too. The TV audio is acceptable. Didn't notice what others complain about. We bought a Polk sound bar at the same time we purchased the TV because of other comments about this TVs audio. Once you hear the Polk soundbar you won't go back to a TV speaker. But TV speaker is not as a bad as some comments. I was a loyal Samsung TV consumer for over a decade but happy with this TCL model.

Jumped past 'hd' tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We were looking to experiment with bypassing the HD box rental from the cable company altogether. Our old panel was 1080p but we never wanted the extra box and the monthy fee nor the hassle of buying an off market and then trying to get the guide. The image quality was um er crappy. So for 279 bucks vs. an extra $150 a year it was worth a shot. We reasoned thusly. A lot of our watching is news. We carry Prime Video and occasionally Netflix and I guess a Smart tv takes it straight off the internets. Maybe just maybe all those potential pixels and doublers and upscalers would make the cable picture ok anywho. First off this TCL unit is light and thin and extremely easy to set up, even for a pair of 65 year olds who had to learn all things tech from our offspring On this 4k capable panel 'live broadcast' plain vannila cable quality is fabulous. We're just using low power or movie mode in zoom. It refreshes fast enough and the details of faces and scenery are stunning. Mind you we're not hooking up to an additional HD box just the common cable connection. Never mind that we're not actually watching a gad zillion pixels every single moment, we don't care. If we decide to binge watch some of the Prime or Netflix specials ,their content seems to be in 4k. The movies are HD or better and that information is coming through the cable modem anyway. That, I checked, is running at 25 mbps or better so it's outstanding. We watched some of the CG laden movie and science specials off Prime last night and WOW what an upgrade in quality. The Roku is terrific ,with a bunch of added content and live broadcast. We will use the Xtra bucks to grab content now and then or just go out to dinner.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the cost, you won't find a better picture and it even has HDR. ROKU built in makes it great. I used two of these for extra TV's in my living room and run sports on them so I can watch 3 games at once.

Superb quality for the price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this tv to test out some entry level 4K HDR and was pleasantly surprised at how well it worked given the price. (I bought on sale for 330+tax). I’ve tested Netflix streaming and Plex streaming @ 4K and picture is great. Has good viewing angles and good colors. I’ve been so pleased with this I have just ordered the 55” they have for $400 now and will be adding another to my collection. While I am normally an AmazonTV guy for my streaming box, the built in Roku works very well so that also saved me from spending more money on the streaming device.

Really a great TV at this price.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned this TV for about 4 months. It is used at least 4 days a week. This TV kind of surprised me . It has a wonderful picture and the instructions on setting it up were pretty easy to follow. Only complaint was that the sound was not very loud, even on the highest setting. If you have a sound bar, then there is no problem. At this price point, I can't imagine getting another brand that could top it overall. The built in ROKU was the feature that sealed the deal on buying the TCL and it was easy to set up as well. I certainly would buy another if I needed one.

Great tv for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the TCL as a second tv for our house. I'm not a video/audio specialist at all, but the tv looks good and sounds fine. We use it mostly in our bedroom, but we take it out to our living room when friends come over for a game or movie. The only reason I didn't give it a 5 star rating is that the Roku remote doesn't have all the options other remotes have. It's not a reason not to buy the tv, but I would have loved a little more adjust-ability.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did my review reading before purchasing this TV. I did not want to spend thousands of dollars but I wanted good quality. I have not been disappointed. It was easy to set up and the picture quality is very good. I love sports and those pics are super. Great TV with a great price.

Excellent TV / Value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this TV because i wanted a dedicated 4k gaming TV for my office. This TV has one of the lowest input lag rates for TV's which is a big deal when playing multiplayer games. Excellent TV for the Price. Great picture, low input lag, decent sound and great Roku app support. Minus one star because you have to create a roku app when you setup the tv and because my original tv had a line of dead pixels. I went through TCL warranty and they performed white glove in home replacement within 7 days.

Great 4k Smart TV
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Went into Best Buy intending to buy a totally different 4k tv that was the same size but much more expensive. However, one of the stock guys pulled me aside (as the salesperson was busy) and showed me this brand and told me he owned the exact TV and the quality was excellent, took me to a display where I saw the picture was just as good as the higher priced TV I came into buy and I was sold. Easy to operate, smart TV has Roku, excellent picture and hundreds of dollars less than the more “popular” brands! Listen to your stockperson. They seem to know just as much if not more than the salesperson.

Bang for your buck!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 3rd 4k t.v. and the 1st that utilizes HDR. I am amazed at the quality for the price! We use the tv mainly for gaming and movies. The colors are amazing, the input lag is the lowest ive seen on any 4k set, and HDR is some next gen stuff. I have friends who have shelled out thousands for their Sammys and Sonys who are shocked at how good this sub- $400 set looks! Then there is the excellent Roku integration, which is super smooth and snappy. All in all i am very happy and very impressed with the The Creative Life (TCL) brand. Such a great set at such a bargain price is unheard of. I highly recommend this TV, especially if you are a budget-minded gamer. There is no input lag and the action is just so smooth its ridiculous. No more of the dreaded "judder" effect that ive seen on other 4k sets. A definite Best Buy!

Beautiful TV Thus Far
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.4K content looks great, HDR adds a lot to certain scenes -- though you have to mess around with the picture settings to make the picture look right, user interface is quick & snappy, content streams relatively well over a 5ghz network, etc.

Wasn't expecting much but...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For a 4k tv under $300 it has blown me away. No this is not a top of the line OLED 4k tv, but if you're on a budget, this is by far the best bang for your buck for tv's around this size. The smart features are simple but great. The built in roku features are amazing and saves you another $50. Netflix, plex, YouTube, etc all stream flawlessly at 4k. Color is great out of the box. Don't let the "noname non recognizable brand" fool you. This is worth it if you're a first time tv buyer, on a budget, or looking to get out of the 1080p game. If you're looking to put together your perfect home theatre, then maybe keep looking. The only cons so far is that the tv remote is tiny and doesn't have numerical buttons. If that's a deal breaker, you can buy a different remote.

Fantastic for the Money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this TV for my dad during Father's Day, at the price of $250. It honestly felt like a steal of a price for having a 4k 50" Smart TV be listed at the value it was at; and I stick to that statement, today, as it was 100% a steal. The TV is a fantastic upgrade to what we used to have (coming from a previous 43" HD Samsung owner). I truly was not expecting this much quality to come out from a company like TCL at SUCH a LOW PRICE! Of course, it may not be as refined as the Samsung $600+ equivalent. But, for less than HALF the price--when that extra $350 could hurt my pockets more than others--IS that perfected, popular-branded equivalent worth that difference? Not for me.

TCL 49” SMART 4K Roku worth the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased a 49” SMART 4K RoKu TV at BestBuy and so far I think I made a wise choice for the Purchase price. I am Personally Using it as my Main Monitor for my PC and it has worked out OK so far. I did have trouble at first setting some of the “Settings” on the TV and getting my PC to Recognize the TV as a Monitor. I also have not used the RoKu services yet.

Great TV and Great Sound
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. One quick thing for future shoppers who have issues about it being HDR compatible or not this site says it doesn't. Well that's a lie. It does and works great playing Mass Effect Andromeda on my Xbox One S. Its absolutely stunning pulling up the Andromeda galaxy map. If u have issues with turning on HDR, there is a setting on this TV where u go to ur settings, then TV input and HDMI modes and change it to 2.0.

Clear 4K picture and Roku OS is great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wasn't necessarily looking for a smart TV, but I this TV was the best price point for this size in 4K that they had in stock. I also didn't really need 4K, but at this time if you are buying a new TV, why would you not since the price isn't much different. I already had one Roku TV and knew the interface would be awesome, and it did not disappoint. This replaced an old 720p LCD TV that was starting to flake out. The picture is so much better even for regular HDTV. This was my first TCL TV, but I would not hesitate to buy another. I was pleasantly surprised by the number of input options as well as both WiFi and ethernet connectivity.

Amazing
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have a 75" Sony in my living room but was looking for a smart TV for the bedroom. Was a bit skeptical about TCL being a Sony snob. Roku is an amazing system and the picture is great. I have no wires in TV but get Netflix, Amazon and all my Spectrum channels. TV of the future
