I researched this TV, which got a superb review although with slightly higher version was better rated. The Roku included is actually a much better one than any other smart TV we own. For a 49 inch you HD TV, this was the best deal. Subsequently, Best Buy lowered the price by $30 and they gave me the difference back. Can’t ask for more.

I was looking for a Samsung tv but, I found this one and it had a better price. I was hesitant as it was a brand I was unfamiliar with. However, this tv is very good! The colors all show up well and works well. Overall, the tv is excellent and I would recommend it.

I was hesitant to get this TV due to not knowing anything about TCL. I'm glad I got it and for a great price. It's a nice starter 4K tv and the ROKU is an extra bonus. It's not a super loud TV so if you need lots of power be sure to purchase a sound bar as well!

I agonized over which TV to go with for about 2 months. I kept an eye on prices. I read reviews and finally after reading a review online and comparing apples to apples I came to the conclusion that the TCL brand TV would be our next TV. We went from a 39" Magnavox (still going strong) to this 49" model. We have our TV set up in a corner and there was just enough room to hang it in the same location without removing and reinstalling the wall mount. I probably still will to give us a little more flexibility and to lower it a bit. You will probably want to go through all the settings and get it set up to your liking. The sound level is adequate and sounds really good. The remote is a little small and so you don't get aggravated as I did the volume control on the remote is actually on the side of the remote and not the traditional spot on the front face. I would have preferred that a ROKU account not be necessary and that a payment method be subsequently necessary as well but there are measures to prevent unintended "purchases". Overall this is a GREAT television and we love it. I highly recommend that you add the ROKU app added to your device(s) to get better functionality.

I wanted a smart TV so that I could divorce my service provider. The picture on this one is great, in my opinion. The remote is intuitive. Most of all, I feel that the price for the quality is excellent.

This TV is awesome, it was easy to hang on the wall and easy to connect to wifi. We are using it as streaming only and the fact that it has ROKU already installed is even better. Super clear picture.

After an unfortunate surge incident with my old HDTV (good TV, great heat source, lol) I needed to buy another TV. I was told about this TV after considering a smaller LG non 4K smart TV. I took a chance and was a bit impressed! 4K is 4K for this TV. Although I don't see 120 refresh, it could be because it may be reactive to whatever it is connected to (not a Samsung, but who cares really?) I like the Roku inclusion. The remote is less to be desired for my taste, but DirecTV helps to solve that problem a bit(a programmable Logitech remote will do MUCH BETTER). Mt biggest issue is no RCA output, but that's minor due to my current audio access situation (not really a big deal). The TV produces almost no heat so that's a big plus for me. All in all, I recommend this TV. If you have complaints about the lack of full range sound, get a huge Samsung TV or a soundbar system. This TV is worth the purchase.

Glad you are enjoying your TV. Did you know that there is a 3.5mm audio out jack that can be converted to RCA outputs for under $10?

      Hope that helps,

We bought this TV for my mom and unfortunately she doesn’t have any cable in her room but the fact that this was a smart TV it was all worth it. The quality is amazing the fact that you can create your own Roku account and control what channels to install from your phone or computer is pretty amazing goes with the features that I honestly appreciate it the most especially because my mom is not very technology friendly the TV itself is pretty simple and easy to use and the remote control is user-friendly.

I bought this to upgrade the tv in my bedroom from a 32 inch. I love this tv! The picture is better than the 65 inch 4k Vizio in my living room. The sound is pretty good for t.v. speakers. I love the Roku. It was really easy to set up and connect to my Wi-Fi. The only problem is that I can't program my cable remote to the t.v. .None if the 3 codes will work. I can't believe a t.v. of this quality is so inexpensive.

    Excellent secondary TV

This is my secondary TV to use in the bedroom. It is very convenient with the built-in Roku. The picture is outstanding when viewing my satellite-TV as well as viewing my Roku apps. Motion while watching sports is excellent and there is no noticeable blur while screaming the NFL Sunday ticket. In fact, it is so easy to bring this TV downstairs to the main media room for a second TV during Sunday football. If you were to purchase a Roku TV as your primary TV, I would recommend the TCL - 55" Class (54.6" Diag.) - LED - 2160p - Smart - 4K Ultra HD TV with High Dynamic Range Roku TV Model number 55P605

Great affordable TV with 1 quirk

Great value TV for the price with 1 quirk. If you are looking for a 4K TV with HDR and decent sound and a built in Roku this is a great choice. The only downside if the remote. The IR remote has to be pointed directly at the TV to work. The buttons are also loud and clicky. Finally, the remote does not have a headphone jack which is standard on most Roku controllers. You can remedy the headphone jakc issue by purchasing the upgraded Roku remote separately.

I bought this TCL TV back in May of 2018. I needed a TV for the living room spot that met 3 requirements: 1. Is over 46" 2. Has 4K resolution 3. Has 120hz refresh rate This TV met all of those, so I bought it! I mainly use this TV for Hulu/Youtube/Xbox One, and it does its job very well. First off, this TCL TV is has Roku built in, so it's already set up for streaming apps and customization, which is very cool and usable. Worth mentioning! For gaming, the screen is very good. It's not a high end Sony, but it does what it needs to do competently. 4K and HDR work well, and the screen refresh (it's not a true 120hz refresh rate, I found out that it uses software to enhance it artificially) works great, I have seen virtually no ghosting, and I play racing games and shooters. This TV has a great menu for adjusting the picture, tint color, and naming inputs as well as changing screen savers. I honestly don't judge TV's on sound anymore. If anybody is smart, they will buy a soundbar for one of these. I purchased a 29" Vizio soundbar for this TV and its a perfect fit. In summation, this TV is still relevant and is a great value, don't count this one out, even considering a year later it's now around $280.

I’ve always been a Samsung guy when it came to TV’s so I was a little hesitant buying a brand that I never heard of but after seeing the 4.3 stars of overall stars it has received online I figured I’d give it a try especially for the price. The TV is for my son so having the added Roku feature was perfect so the only cable needed was the power cord. Turn it on, connect to WiFi and after a few minutes, all of his favorita shows are a click away. The picture is crystal clear and design is perfect when mounted to a wall. I couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

The 1080p and 4K images are very sharp. The colors are amazing for such an inexpensive TV. . . for any TV under $1K. Most of the videos I have access to now must not be true HDR because coming through my router are using only 10-15mbs/sec. So it's hard to know how much you're really missing. I have this S series TCL downstairs and the P series TCL upstairs. And true enough the whites seem brighter and the blacks seem blacker on the P series, but not as much as I thought. On the S series the blacks are still pretty dark and the whites are nice and white. So in summary I'm questioning whether the sources are readily available yet to really make use of the HDR capability.
