You’d be surprised!!!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have been spoiled by the newest OLED tv such as the LG CX and C1 and this tv is BY NO MEANS competition for those behemoths but YOU’D BE SURPRISED how great this low budget screen looks! For both gaming and movies! Very decent blacks and good brightness! Only caveat being the extremely SUB PAR VIEWING ANGLES! So if you cant sit smack dab in front of this screen prepare for the “washed out” look on the screen. Otherwise STEAL OF A DEAL!

Excellent TV, But Buy the Roku Version

The technical specs are outstanding, especially considering the cost. The TCL Class 5-series has the 4K QLED picture which last year was the top of the line technology on Samsung TVs which are significantly more expensive. The TV comes with a choice of a Chromecast OS or a Roku OS. I have used Roku streamer since they came out years ago. Not withstanding that I bought the Chromecast version because it was $50 cheaper than the Roku version. Unfortuneately I found the Chromcast OS to be very clunky and not particularly user friendly. I connected a Roku Ultra box that I had in the house to the new TV and use it exclusively rather than the imbedded Chromcast OS.

Best Bang for your Buck

Don’t expect OLED like experience but for the cost it will fit the needs of most people in the market for this price range. I have had it for about 2 months now. It has less features than more expensive models but that’s to be expected. I will give it a soliid 4 stars for the price range it is in.

I have always loved tcl. I would take this tv over a samsung any day heck i would take this over any high end tv.
