Shoddy construction

I was using the HDMI port 1. Then, a week ago, I was decided to change things to use the eARC HDMI port 4. When I tried to plug the HDMI cable in, the HDMI jack fell off inside the case. I have plugged HDMI and similar things in easily thousands of times and know not to force anything. I contacted Best Buy and they were extremely cooperative, but it was just past their return time, so they told me to contact TCL. I filed a warrant claim but was told that the warranty "does not cover physical damage". This is total Baloney Stuff. A cracked screen or other exterior damage I can understand. But this was, IMO, a fabrication flaw. If I can not repair it myself (I have considerable amateur electronics experience) I will buy a new TV. But it will NOT be a TCL.

With situations like this, we encourage you to check with the retailer you purchased from to see if they cover this type of issue with the TV. Additionally, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage. Hope this helps!
