This tv is impossible to get rid of that “soap opera effect”. Everything you watch that has any bit of movement, makes you feel like you’re on the movie set watching it and I don’t mean that in a good way. Anything with action, and it’s like the cameraman is having a seizure. It just shakes uncontrollably. I’ve tried going into the settings to change anything that looks like it would fix it, nothing works. I emailed TCL almost 3 weeks ago, no response other than “give us 24 hours”. They’ve had over 400 hours to get back to me. Also, the internal speakers this thing has, atrocious. I bought a sound bar and the audio is off by like half a second. There’s an audio delay setting in the tv, useless like the other settings. I had a TCL before and had no issue. Went with their “higher end” and it was a waste of money.

Absolute garbage. Picture quality is really good, but every stream lags - MLB, Peacock, AppleTV+, all of it. It’s not the apps and it’s not my internet connection - none of my other TVs do this. So disappointed.
Another very annoying quirk - cannot control volume levels via the TV remote when using optical connection. Have to keep my separate soundbar remote nearby.

Very disappointed. Hopefully it was a fluke. On first power up, things seemed okay, but could not access the settings menu and the home button on the remote did nothing. Found put there is no consumer accessible reset button on the panel either. Through testing i was able to verify that the issue was with the Tav itself and not the remote. After two days of trying to recover the TV and perform a reset to start over, I had to return the TV as defective. I bought another brand and have had zero issues since.

The tv we received was used. The box was torn in several places and taped together. There was no power cord and it was missing screws for the legs. There was no paper work with it. The man I talked to about it was not an American. His english was not good. I don't think we will be buying anything from Best Buy again. The product was probably ok , but the company [Best Buy] was not

This TV is a piece of junk. I had it for 5 months and than some of the apps wouldn't open. Did the delete app reinstall unplug, rebot internet and still wouldn't start Call customer services and did it all again plus 2 additional steps and still didn't work. The last step was a reset which I didn't have time for. I had spent 40 minutes on the phone already They refused to send a technician out to fix the TV until all the steps were taken.

TV gave it up right after the return period. TCL support is the worst thing I have ever experienced, pretty much useless to offer a warranty. A month worth of conversing back and forth before they figured out enough maybe offer to send a technician to take a look. The google TV seemed super buggy too, especially with HULU. Last TCL product I'll entertain buying. Run the other way.

Bought a little over a month ago. Remote quit working and TCL makes you jump through hoops and had me reset my TV. Now my remote won’t connect and my TV is reset so it’s unuseable. When (if?) they send me a remote replacement hopefully that fixes my $300 paper weight.

I bought an open box. It said it was excellent. I was disappointed then that the TV arrived not working. When I went to return it, the person completing the return insinuated that it was our fault it broke because we transported it wrong. No, we had it delivered. It did not seem to be packaged well. Now I had to take the time get it back to the store myself. When I returned it, I got $100 less than I paid for it back! There was a $100 gift card received with purchase. That amount of money could not be returned to me even though I said the card was never used or downloaded. Now I am stuck with a gift card not my cash back. That does not seem fair! What if I wanted to buy another TV at another store now, I am out $100.

I do not recommend this brand, I've bought 3 TCL Tvs in the past and all have failed within the first year. I am sticking with Sony. Fool me once, twice, and now 3 times. Obviously I am a slow learner. All they do is sit on a wall no moving, no jostling, no impacts and the screens all failed, same issue with each one. First the sound goes out and then the entire picture goes out,,,including the power light,,,tried resetting,,,,no success,,,powering off ,,,unplugging peripherals….nothing works
