Bright and crisp picture. Colors are rich and vivid. The user interface is pretty snappy. Sound is not the greatest, it's not a deal breaker. The price is really sweet, so grab a decent sound bar. TCL hits the spot with this tv.

Bought both TCL QM5K and Hisense QD7 50". TCL QM5K 50" review Highly Recommend as TV Not recommend as PC Monitor (caveat) Usage: TV Colors popped, saturated and realistic. High Contrast. Great menu and controls. 5 stars ***** Usage: PC monitor (3ft from screen). Small text not smooth, even after ClearType adjustment. Solid colors seems to have vertical stripping up close; not obvious from 5ft or more. So if sitting further away or increase text size can be done, these issues might not a problem. VRR up to 60hz (55" and above is 144hz). Conclusion: Returned TCL and kept Hisense QD7 Mini-LED. The TCL has better color, contrast and menu system than the H. But H rendered better text and color is smoother. No obvious stripping from 3ft.

Picture looks great straight on. Blacks look amazing. Only thing wrong with this TV are the viewing angles. Looking at it from side view, the colors wash out

My new TCL tv is fabulous The color and images are excellent— also the service was the best yet .The sales associate explained everything in detail . He listened to my concerns and explained why the led mini was a good choice..we discussed the operation and every detail.He told me I could come back and ask him any further questions. I’m really happy with this TV. It has a great picture especially for the price. I can’t speak to the google tv function as I never activated it. I use an Apple TV box. Surprisingly, the TCL remote works with the Apple TV without programming. Highly recommend.

Has one of the best images for the price point. Colors were bright, motion was clear, sound was excellent. They put all their money into the display itself. The only downside is the TV plastics. Build quality doesnt seem that solid when it comes to the shell. But, that shouldnt be an issue if the TV is mounted up and out of the way.

Bought this for a kid going to college. Beautiful picture and bright. Light with a small border which keeps the overall size down for a 50".

I got this TV for my bedroom and it is BRIGHT! For a budget mini-led the blacks are good with very very little blooming going on. While I wouldn’t say this is competition for an OLED like the Qm8K is it is definitely a great bedroom TV. I haven’t gamed on it yet so I can’t speak for the quality there but I’m sure it will look great and its native 600mbps will suffice for consoles. It can also do 1440p at 244mhz.

Great TV for the price. Excellent picture and features. Have used it for over a month and am quite satisfied. Mini-led back lighting not usually found at this price point. Just be aware the 50 inch has a different speaker set up. Decent but not an issue if you use a sound bar.

Best Bang for the buck. I had a 50" Panasonic Corporate Plasma Display panel for many years - colors were as natural as the plasma. Opted for this mini LED display - not disappointed at all. Runs cooler in my man cave - plasma panels runs hot. Did a lot of research before i bought this TCL QM5K because of great reviews and simplicity as apps are concerned. Google works fine, although I would never use some of its extra apps.

I would give it a 4.5 star review. Good color, contrast and brightness. Viewing angle is good for an LCD screen but it is not plasma or OLED as far as viewing angle. Great for the price.

Love this TV perfect Display for my bright living room. after all the research and review. this TV is best for me. woks well with my apple tv 4k. Dolby Display.

I purchased this tv for my parents for Christmas last month. They weren't looking for a high end tv with tons of bells and whistles so i did alot of research for the best 50 inch tv for the money and i went with this one. No regrets!! TCL has really stepped up their product line in the last couple of years. Check out the online reviews. It's not a top of the line tv by any means, but it is a great buy for everything it offers. Great picture, easy set up and speakers that for this class of tv are actually decent.

I bought this TV to replace my office TV, as we were having a hard time seeing dark scenes. This TV is a huge improvement, and for the price, it definitely serves its purpose. My only issue is that sometimes with anime, you can really notice the sound going up and down in volume. It's more of an annoyance and probably the program's fault.

I was extremely impressed by the quality of image for the cost of this TV. It was well packaged, super light, and easy to mount!

Pretty good picture once you change all the settings. First time with a smart tv and it's kinda weird that it makes you log in with google before you can do anything. Can't even change the input. A bit worried about when the. Cheap computer that runs the smart tv dies.
