    Great picture, comes with VRR and ALLM and the smart features are responsive and fast. Sound quality as with all newer smart TV is pretty bland without a soundbar but is bearable. Bought while on sale for Black Friday 2025

    This 4 star is really a 4.5 star rating. This is a great TV. The main issue for me is the color. It took me a week to get the correct brightness and color balance to my liking. The tools are not very sensitive and (in fairness) different TV networks and sources (DVD, XBox, etc.) have different color balances. I use a 2.1 sound bar. Sound isn't too sophisticated, but color balance and depth are important. I migrated from a Samsung, which was great for a decade. The TV was dying a slow death and needed the upgrade to TCL. You will not be disappointed. If I could fit a larger TV in the space, I would have.

    I previously had a Sony Bravia and this TCL is half the price, bigger in size, and has a better picture. The TV is made for watching sports, with its beautiful lighting and booming sound quality. So happy with this purchase. Also got a free 3 months of YouTube Premium with is nice since I watch a lot of videos!

    This TV is okay. Considering the quality I'm glad I got it on sale. For the most part the picture is good but I have had some issues. On the 1st one I got after 2 days the LEDs messed up in spot (it seemed that the LEDs were having a color issue since they displayed white but dimmed properly). I contacted TCL support and was told to exchange it at the store (which I did). The 2nd TV works as it is supposed to though there are little things I don't care for (which is more on the OS Google TV) like sometimes if you watch an app on another device when you go to watch it on the TCL it doesn't sync properly. You have to either go to settings (to clear the cache or stop the app) or restart the device. Also I don't like that when you turn it off it just goes into standby mode instead of fully turning off. The app sync issue would probably be fixed.

    The TCL-50 QM5K is a excellent decision for buying a low priced quality TV. It was easy to setup the wireless networking and included Apps. This TV has great picture quality and the Sound is decent. It has many options for online streaming and built in Apps that help you get online access. My only gripe is its boot time takes a lot longer than I like.
