    If you're looking for a TV, you want to go to Best Buy and talk to someone in there like I did, they will lean you the right way to get a great TV.

  • Arrived Warped with Defects, No Accountability

    I picked up this TV 18 days ago. When I unboxed it, there was slight warping on the top where the plastic backing and edges of the unit has separated from the edge of the screen. Light leaks through. It was fine, but now it's expanding. It's not mounted on the wall, just standing upright out of the box. A minor flaw I could live with has gotten exaggerated now that it’s out of its packaging. I attempted to reach out to Best Buy to remedy this issue. Best Buy said I needed to go to TCL to use manufacturer's warranty. TCL said the issue was not covered as, according to their logic, "every product is thoroughly checked before sending to stores, and therefore any and all manufacturing issues would have been caught, so we will not cover this as it must be damage from Best Buy. Any physical defect - any issue at all - isn't our fault!" So much for that warranty! I attempted to take this back to Best Buy, and the Geek Squad refused to touch the issue because it's "under manufacturer's warranty" -- and sent me BACK to TCL, where I received the same response that no, it's not under manufacturer's warranty. No one will take accountability for the broken product I received. Over $200 down with a broken, low quality television, and no one will address it. Pick another brand that will actually honor its warranty - TCL is clearly above that with their "outstanding" quality control. And, pick another store that will make it right. Thanks, Best Buy and TCL!
