For the price, hard to complain. This TV is average. Settings must be set to the regular presets or you get power drain if you set brightness higher and so on or use a soundbar. It will go black on you with too much drain. The sound is sub-par. Buy a decent soundbar like the Bose TV bar or a Yamaha bar. These people put out a decent TV at a cost the average person can afford. However, if I were to do this again I would buy the TLC series 6 TV which is a huge improvment over the four series.

A nice TV , good picture but the set up with Roku was not as easy as it should have been, overall I'm happy with this purchase as the price was great and it's in our bedroom and not used on the daily.

Great picture with tv and the build in Roku made it extra easy to use. It does work more seamless than our smart tv. If you want to stream on your TV this is a great choice

Lasted about 7 months before it broke, but was still under warranty at that point. Took a while to work out the logistics for the company to send someone to fix it (about 3 visits and over 2 months), in the end it needed up needing a new mother-board. Didn’t have to pay for the repairs, and have had any issue since, just buyer beware.

This is the king of all budget TVs. I truly loved the previous iteration, but the LEDs went bad and I replaced it with this one. I was dreading the whole experience until I turned this puppy on. I was extremely pleased to learn that TCL had significantly improved this magnificent beast. The black is much richer, the screen resolution has definitely been beefed up, and speakers have been boosted quite a bit. The only drawback may be that the connectivity is lagging a bit; maybe they used a weaker WiFi antenna. Other than that, it's better in every way. For the price, this TV is unmatched (especially for those that are part of the streaming vs. cable revolution.

I am MORE HAPPY with the TCL Roku then the Insignia Fire TV I had originally purchased for my 90 yr old mother (now 93). I will only say that I like the Roku option better then Fire for many reasons, except for the "voice" option (the Roku "Voice" is a joke!). I would like to say the sales person knew very little about the questions I had regarding my purchase (which was an exchange because parts were not, or no longer available for my mom's Insignia Fire TV) and I had lots of questions. I also want to point out he had a Black shirt on indicating to me he was suppose to know what he was talking or selling. But I seemed to know more in my purchase research then he did. I asked if the TLC Roku had a "Voice Feature" and they said "Yes" (after looking up that info in the computer). But they had no 55" TLC Roku TV on display or a remote to look at. And was only pointed to a competitor's TV and told, "It's like this one". But when I got home and unpacked the New TCL Roku TV, the remote did not have a voice feature? And I had told the salesperson it was a feature my mom liked on the prior returned TV. And through online research at Roku web site I found out I had to order a "Voice Remote" separately (which cost me $35). Now about the "Roku Voice Remote". This turned out to be a total JOKE!!! (and difficult for my 93 yr old mother) It will turn on & off TV, locate remote with a sound signal (but you have to know the general area to speak directly towards the remote for it to work), find Antenna (yes we still watch this way and don't believe in paying for TV viewing in Los Angles area) channels and it's TV Guide (on screen), but has problems in finding streaming channels upon request (like CBSN 24/7 Los Angeles, it wants to go to Antenna channel instead of streaming channel). And for my 93 old mother it's a challenge to operate (which we/she thought she would be able to use with ease). So the best part about this "Roku Voice Remote" is that it has an internal rechargeable battery. See I have two other Roku added onto two other TV's. And those I need to replace the batteries at least once a month or sooner.

    The remote sucks

Overall it is a nice set. Good picture, Sound is decent. Easy setup. However the remote really sucks. There's no numbers on it, so going directly to a channel you have to keep clicking 1,000 times, and there is no previous channel button. Would probably work for someone that only uses the ROKU streaming content. Thinking of returning & getting something else that has a full function remote, but after a couple days I will mess with it some more to make sure I'm just not missing someting.

      Hi Birdman,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. Currently, our smart TVs do not support the direct input of channel numbers for OTA. However, if your TV is connected to the Internet, you can press the left arrow key to populate a channel guide and navigate channels this way. Additionally, you can enable "favorites" for over the air channels so that your most-watched channels will automatically appear towards the top. To enable favorites you would go to Home>Settings>TV inputs>Antenna TV>Favorite Channels>Enable. Hope this helps!

Great TV for the price. Setup was very easy. The Roku platform was the primary reason for choosing this TV. It is east to navigate and has tons of free content. Picture and sound quality are what you would expect from this class of TV. The only downside so far is the remote (feels cheap...like it'll shatter when it hits the floor). Be sure to get the ROKU app for your phone. As long as you're on the same WiFi, you can control the TV from the app. Having access to a full keyboard in the app make searching for content much easier.

I purchased this for my son and daughter-in-law. Let me start by saying I also have the same exact tv. They are very happy with it the size is perfect for them. They love the picture and all the apps that are built-in. My son also plays some video games on it and has had no issues. Extremely happy with the product as am I. I am in the process of trying to convince my other son to allow me to purchase this for them also.

It never stays connected to the Wi-Fi and little tiny remote control got lost, therefore I was using the remote control on my phone! That is no longer working! I’m on the TV menu, and I cannot go to home to change the settings or to watch movies in any of the apps that are available on Roku, therefore; I am stuck watching regular television programs on one channel! Because, at the phone I can’t change the channel! On the light at the bottom of the television keeps blinking! What does that mean?

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that you are not having the same great experience that the majority of our customers report having. It's my first smart tv. I like it but it does have the picture wobbling more than my old reliable Samsung dumb tv did the six years I had it combined. It has plenty of features that I don't use much. I prefer a tv to work well and a computer separate from the tv. The screen size is great and the sound is better than I expected. Overall I like it. I dislike using two remotes with Fios without buying any more accessories. The cell phone as a remote worked well and first but then it got glitchy and I stopped using it.
