This tv was recommended to me by a friend who has the same one. The price is fantastic. I haven’t bought a new tv in years and I didn’t realize it would be this lightweight. I could pretty much carry it and install it by myself with my kid running around at my feet. Plug it in and it’s ready to go. What surprised me is that the tv comes with a ton of free tv channels (not normal cable channels). It’s called Samsung TV plus and it boasts itself as being completely free, no strings attached. There are movies, tv shows, and a vast vast array of tv channels for every type of person, even niche like Japanese game show, forensic files channel and video game content channels. Streaming, video, content apps are easy to set up. Samsung has pretty much all of them... You can arrange the order of them.

Pretty good deal. Vivid picture, good inputs and integrates with Alexa, can control entirely via voice, from turning on/off to changing antenna channels and input. Only negative, the remote, omg don’t damage the remote! No universal remotes can seem to reach the full settings menu- even learning remotes cant capture the functionality of the settings button from the original remote. Universal remotes can only get to the android settings which doesn’t show picture/audio/etc settings with it, which makes no sense but that’s more android tv than a tcl issue

For the price point this is a great television! The picture is crisp and very clear with excellent color. And of course there are a multitude of picture settings incuding presets for quick selections or you can utilize the advanced settings to tweak picture to you liking. The sound is also great. The interactive menue is easy to navigate. Television comes we plenty of pre-loaded apps with several more available for downloading through the Google Play Store. Built-in Wi-Fi is easy to set up and works great. The Bluetooth, Built-in Chrome Cast, and voice-control remote allow seamless connections and control of your devices either directly or through Google Home. All in all I'm extremely satisfied with my purchase.

The TCL 55" is great! Colors are vibrant, Setup was easy. I like that there are 3 HDMI ports. I got it for a great price at Best Buy online during Black Friday sales. Customer service at Lincoln Best Buy is awesome. Quick, easy, complete problem resolution by Front End Supervisor. She is Great! I wish I caught her name but she was working hard and still had a smile on her face for every customer. Only problem is with the TCL is the remote. It's simple with just a few buttons but that means you have to navigate around the menus. Other remotes have more direct buttons which, once you learn the remote, is quicker. The other problem with the remote is that there is no mute button. I have to push the volume down button when I get a phone call.

I purchased this TV to use HBOMax app. This TV was easy to setup and add applications. It has Netflix, Prime Video, Hulu, HBOMax, YouTube, Disney+. Some issues & fixes: 1. Bright LED light in the bottom center of TV. This light can be turned off in the Advance TV settings. 2. Wifi might disconnet. This happens about once/twice per week, nothing major. It depends how far from router the TV is located. When it does happen, I just shutdown TV and start up again it takes a few minutes and you are good to go. I would recommend hard wiring internet connection. Pros: Great picture, sound is better than our FireTV edition TV. Overall I am happy with purchase because of the HBOMax app and much more. Price can't be beat.

It does almost everything well enough. Has a good picture and pretty good blacks. One MAJOR flaw with the tv (unsure if its just mine, but does it on multiple apps), It flickers to grey in the black on a screen when there is a bright image displayed with high contrasting object. Example, Watching a night scene with white subtitle on. will cause the top and bottom screen margins to flicker from black to dark grey. I would have returned the TV but it was 14 months after purchase. I've gotten used to it, and the tv was sub $400 when I purchased it. If I had spent more, I would have been angry. Apps hang and freeze, have to close them. Sometimes the sound just cuts out in apps like netflix. I have to close the app and reopen for the sound to return. The interface could use a better processor to not lag so much, but its decent. Pretty good colors and blacks to be fair. I'm not a tech reviewer so to a general image it is nice enough. The sound is lacking like most TVs in this price range, It seems to get louder, but is still hard to hear voices. So possible the speaker range is not best for vocals. There is also the problem with a sound bar add-on. I cant tell if its individual apps, or the TV itself. When I use Optical connection, I have to adjust the audio delay so the TV and soundbar match up. Then when you go to another app. The sound is off again, have to readjust. You have to do this with every.....single....app..... Now with everyone having 10 streaming apps, I just disconnected the soundbar and stopped using it. I cant give the TV a bad review for this as I can't tell if its the tv's, apps, or soundbars fault. This is only an issue with sound bars not the tv. I would recommend this tv if you're on a budget. Otherwise I would get something one step above.

I purchased this TV to replace a Roku TV in the master bedroom, mostly just to see what Android TV was like. Apps - Personally not impressed with Android TV counterparts to Roku TV apps. For one, MLB.TV on this TV has no ability to play audio-only games, so I can't even listen to in-market games whose video is blacked out in my market (but that shouldn't be a fault of the TV, even though my Android phone has no problem). Controls are somewhat confusing if you're used to Roku TVs. The homepage has rows of apps, the topmost row being your main selection of apps to view, and lower rows being like specializations of particular apps (e.g. "YouTube suggestions"). Audio - One benefit of this TV is the ability to pair it with Bluetooth headphones, enabling you to watch and listen to shows in bed while your partner sleeps. We're using a soundbar, but the native speakers aren't too shabby for a large flatscreen. I can't control the soundbar volume with the TV IR remote, and muting the TV speakers leaves a persistent mute icon on the display, forcing me to set the TV volume to 1 (which is barely audible with the soundbar muted) to hide the icon. Power - I enabled the "fast power on" option in settings so the TV would go to low-power mode instead of fully powering off, but often the TV does a cold boot (as if powered on for 1st time) when pressing power on the remote. Remote - The remote only has 2 dedicated app buttons - Netflix and I think YouTube. I'd prefer Sling and other apps, or the ability to remap the buttons. The 4 buttons on the corners of the direction pad, including Home and Back, take some time to get used to; many times I've accidentally pressed the upper-left button (Home) thinking it was Back, kicking me out of an app. Picture - Picture quality is very good.

    4K TCL Television Great Deal

Bought this television on a great black Friday deal. Picture is great, sound is decent. Smart android set-up was pretty simple and I was able to customize it for the apps that I use the most. Only negatives is the Remote is pretty basic with few functions. Pairing audio headsets to the television with bluetooth works but then you have to completely remove the device each time when you are done otherwise they will pair every time the tv is on. Because it was a special model for black friday it is very hard to find picture calibration settings. I chose a similar model and the settings are pretty good. A month and a half later and I am very happy with the tv for the cost.

Great TV Purchase. I purchased this TV to replace a 40 Inch Sony non-smart TV in my master bedroom. This is my 3rd TCL but first TCL Android TV. Overall the picture quality is amazing. The TV is light and easy to mount, plus the interface in my opinion is much easier to manage than the other TCL Roku TVs. The quality of the TCL TVs are top notch and I have yet to have any issues with any of them. I have seen a lot of reviews where people mention that these have a great picture for the price. I want to clarify that a little bit by saying that these TVs have an amazing picture regardless of price. Meaning that despite the low price of these TVs, they have an amazing picture.

I purchased this as a present for my adult son... Here is what he had to say, "I've had an old 42-inch tv for 8 years. Comparing them is like day and night. This tv is so much lighter and easier to mount on the wall. It's convenient with having a simple home screen to access all of your apps. The picture quality is surreal and having a small border/frame around the tv makes watching movies more enjoyable. Overall 4.9/5. The only complaint is that once it is mounted on the wall, it's hard to connect more HDMI cords and such."

The sound is alright but I did get a soundbar to make it better. Sometimes the tv takes a while to connect to the WIFI, and sometimes certain streaming apps won't work, like Peacock and Hulu. I recently tried to add an pp and it wanted me to sign into google and authenticate the sign-in by clicking on certain pictures, which was impossible! I gave up... Sometimes I hit the power button and the tv immediately shuts off, and sometimes it has a screen to power down.. not sure why?

I recently bought this TV at Best Buys upon purchase i headed directly to the shipping company and sent it to Trinidad when received at Customs everything seem to be intact since the shipping company wapped it properly when the Customs officer opened the box the back of the TV plus damage it appears to be some kind of heat damage from the outside of the box nothing seem visible to indicate any issues so it appears that i purchase this TV like this from the store silly me did not open the box at the time of purchase and headed directly to the shipping company when they got to Trinidad the TV was not coming on for the offices to check. Fees to clear the package took it home finally got it to come on only to discover the TV is overheating severely silly me did not take any insurance on it nowI am $304.14 out no tv. All these fees to ship it and I have nothing. My advice always check contents before leaving store

I bought this item because I have the exact same TCL TV but with Roku as the operating system. When the price of this TV was $200, I couldn't not buy it. It's a value at its traditional $400 price tag; let alone 50% off. It has a good amount of HDMI ports, works well with a sound bar I had on hand, has great visuals and works really well with 4k gaming consoles. I don't like the Android operating system as much as Roku, however, that's me picking nits. Many TVs are so overpriced for minor upgrades. If you want a budget friendly, 4K TV that is reliable and flexible enough to handles several tasks; this is the way to go!

Excellent TV and price; only thing I would have prefer if there were power, channel and volume bottons. My controlller battery died and I could not watch TV till I got new batteries; I had to unpluc the TV. You can control it with your phone I hear; unfornatetly you need to do it before your batteries die. But it is an excellent TV; now I have batteries all the time.

I purchased this during the holidays and got a great buy. It's an entry level TV but it works well. I don't think I would pay the full retail price for the tv so I'm glad I got it for $200. The best feature was the price and the ease of set up. I enjoy the live tv pause feature. I like that it connects to my Google nest. When my hands are full I can mute and unmute the tv with my voice. The worst thing about it is that at times the screen inexplicably dims while watching tv. I prefer Roku to Android tv so that's another negative but for the most part I'm happy with my purchase.

This tv is great for the black friday price. I have very small (1-3) dead pixels at the top right corner and its not noticeable at all unless you get very close to it. It has a great picture quality and the sound is pretty loud but not so clear. I use a soundbar for the sound but it has lip sync problems if the sound setting is on auto. So to fix lip sync problems you need to choose the 'pass through' option in audio settings. The android interface is laggy and slow. also for some reason it says that the disney+ is not compatible for this device. I only tried netflix app. Pros: - Picture Quality - Price Average: - Sound - Built quality Cons: - Android interface, not roku - laggy and slow - lip sync problems on auto mode (fixable on pass through option)
