Great TV for the price. I bought for our gazebo and it has been serving us well with numerous gatherings and just hanging out by ourselves.

I have to say I love the android UI! I have the roku version on my 75 in TCL and since everything we use is Google related this made the set up very simple and easy. Roku is simple and easy too but the seamlessness of using android as we do with our phones is a major plus. I've been super happy with the TCL brand and it was an easy decision on price and feature functions to add the 55 inch as well. This tv is used for basic use but we still wanted it to be of good quality. I would say we're completely satisfied with the use of the tv and its features.

My last two TVs were quite expensive and they did not last very long. So when Black Friday came along I jumped on this TV in the $300 range. I figured, if they are not going to last very long then why pay for a big name. Well, so far I'm Impressed! Good picture, good sound and setup was a breeze. The TV accepted my old DVD player and pairing Bluetooth headphones was no problem. Great TV at a really good price. If I can get 3 plus years out of this TV I'll be really happy.

Picture is very nice, and the colors are rich. I am used to the Rokunuser interface, but this Android TV has some nice features. The best being 5he built-in Chromecast. We have experienced more lag, app failure, and things not working with 5his TV than we did with our previous TCL Roku model. The flip side to that is that this unit is much faster than the old one. This remote is also much nicer than the Roku remote. For the black Friday price, I have no complaints.

    55" Pool House upgrade!

TV delivered as promised and on time by the Geek Squad early Saturday evening. We had it all set up, ready to go, and mounted on its rolling TV cart (Yaheetech) in just a little over an hour. The setup was simple and easy to follow! The TV is under 30lbs so it was very easy to roll it out to the pool house Sunday morning and we watched and listened while swimming/playing/cleaning (yes we still have 80+ degrees in California). The volume/sound was better than expected as we had it set at around 35 and could hear it clearly from over 50' away. We had a few initial buffering issues (possibly from distance to wifi router) but that does not seem to be of any real concern at this point. The picture quality on a few channels would take a few moments (up to 10 seconds) to clear up and become sharp. The pool house door faces South/East so we had sun glare and reflection issues but the overall picture quality for that situation was still impressive (Default picture settings unchanged). We easily connected to our BlueTooth speaker and placed on the other side of the pool where we sit. The best view/picture is of course straight on but was still acceptable while walking around. If the build quality is sufficient we will hopefully be able to enjoy it for several years. We are very pleased with our purchase and would recommend it to anyone searching for an entry-level (larger screen) TV. PS... TCL manufacturers; I would suggest using less sticky tape on the screen. It was difficult to remove without fingernails and we actually still have about half an inch of tape stuck very firmly to the screen that I still need to safely remove.

Got the deal but the WiFi connection is funky

So I wanted a decent affordable TV for my bedroom. I saw this during the Amazon/Best Buy Showdown and took the plunge. Delivery was quick (less than a week). I wanted to mount the TV since I already had the outlet installed. The TV is a 300 X 300 VESA pattern and most mounts will handle it. Relatively easy to get it on the wall. My issue was around the WiFi connection. The TV would connect to the internet but would say 'Connected, no internet". I tried calling TCL but they were gone for the day. I tried calling Best Buying and after sitting on hold on no one answered either. Given I had spent my evening getting this TV mounted I was pretty mad. However, after watching a YouTube video about it - the issue is something to do with the date settings on the tv. I manually picked the date and time and all of the sudden the internet worked...not sure what the issue is. All my other devices were working fine on my network. The TV does make a low pitched humming sound but I assume that is normal? You only hear it if its completely silent in the room. Overall, I think it should be able to work for my needs (streaming before bed).

It Is what it is. Bought it on a Deal of the Day Sale and so far I'm satisfied with the purchase. You cant beat it for the price and performance of an entry level 4K TV. The pic is good. The sound is good . Works fine for a bedroom 4K TV. The supplied remote is a bit weak. No numbers keys on the key pad. Overall the color and clarity of the screen is not bad at all. The smart TV portion is adequate. Wi-Fi works good and apps load in quickly. I tried it with cable as well as over the airwaves antenna signal and both work well.

I got this TV on sale for $199 from BestBuy. The picture is very bright. The sound is good. The remote control is very limited. Can't mute, can't pause, can't . . . . I can turn off the TV by voice, but Don't know how to turn the TV on by voice. The TV turner is good. It can get more than 35 channels over the air. It work fine as a monitor for my window 10 computer. For a 55 inch 4K TV under $200, I am happy with it.

Good TV quality and sound, not the best but a great value for the price. I have an older 4-series TCL (~1yr old right now) that is similar that I also enjoy. The Android OS allows me to run the Peloton app and others, so this is perfect for my home gym. Only issue I have is that they added a "free" trial that they started billing me on even though I never activated, and refused to refund the charge after several calls.

For the price this is a good value. Decent picture. The legs can only be placed in one position one of the answered questions stated they could be put in one of two positions this is false. There are a couple of minor annoyances like when using a usb for expanded storage it sill spontaneously disconnect. The WiFi will also disconnect for seemingly no reason. That said I’m happy with the purchase so far overall.

Solid TV, good picture quality, decent viewing angles. I will say that the software does have noticeable lag to it and I've had to restart the TV on an occasion because of it, but I will continue to monitor the situation. Overall I paid $200 for it, so can't complain on that front and it's a great deal for that price. I'm mainly using it for streaming movies/shows as a secondary TV, not games nor cable TV.

We had not upgraded our TV's for several years so to buy a Smart TV that was 55 inches for under $250 was a no-brainer. We have 2 55 inch TV's, 40 inch and 75 inch TV. I would have to say the quality of the 55 and 40 was better than the 75-inch tv. The image on the screen was great. The sound quality was nice. The remote control was small and a little harder to view. This made the usage a little harder.

I was initially skeptical, having seeing the previous (negative) reviews. I'm unsure if they received lemon units or what, but this TV is seriously great. There is no "high-pitch noise" coming from it, as one person found. (They're likely hearing "coil whine" caused by electromagnetic interference). The speakers are of relatively high-quality, despite another customer's suggestion otherwise. The AndroidTV UI is very user-friendly and even pairs nicely with my Apple iOS devices. If you're looking to purchase a (relatively) large-screen TV for cheap, look no further than this product.

Got this TV for a great price Black Friday weekend 2020. I’ve never owned a 4k tv before so I can’t compare it to anything, but overall I think the picture is great. Android tv is pretty easy to navigate and this television does everything I had hoped it would. The remote is a bit laughable but I found a nicer universal remote for around $10. Best Buy curbside pickup was on point and the man that loaded in my car was very pleasant, so hats off to their crew.
