An Honest Review
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay, so a 3 star review, that must mean something bad!? Not true at all. I gave this TV 3 stars based on the quality and performance of the TV, not the price or the service I got from BB. BB was great, for the most part. Once it was in stock at a location within 250 miles of me, I was able to get it the next day. I gave this TV 3 stars because it comes nowhere near the quality or performance of my previous TCL 6 series. So was it what I expected for $200 on sale? Absolutely. Is it a great 4k TV for ultra low budget TVs? Absolutely? Can it compete with the high end stuff? No, not at all. Would I buy this again or suggest it to someone in a similar financial arrangement as me? 100%. I wanted to review this honestly, and according to the performance of the actual TV, nothing else. So there you go.

Best Buy’s Best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great graphics. Great price! Easy to setup! I would definitely recommend this display to my friend’s, family and coworkers. Getting the delivery for free was definitely another reason for making the purchase. I actually purchase 2 displays the same date. Thank you for always having the best electronic selection possible! I greatly appreciate the five star products you sell to consumers!

Won’t go wrong for $199
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m not a super tech guy but this is an awesome deal. Great picture and sound for $199!! I picked up and installed on a wall mount. Just like any fragile item handle gently and follow handling instructions and you’ll love the results. Geek Squad warranty for 5 years and I’m set for $250 for the next 5 years. Consumer Reports rated TCL pretty good for an entry level 4K smart TV. GREAT DEAL!!

Great cheap TV
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the TV for a home gym and it has been great. I was originally looking for a Roku for an old 1080 50" Phillips LCD that I planned to use, but for a difference of $150 I was able to throw away the old heavy TV and replace it with a smart 4K 55" TV which weighs only 25 lbs. It draws less power, is much lighter has a great picture. So far I have been very pleased with the TV.

Great value, nice television, Android is an asset
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought this for my parents, whose 10 year old Samsung 50" recently died. I managed to get it when it was $200, which was a fantastic price. At that price I was able to also purchase the $50 5-year Geek Squad service for them, just in case it runs into problems. They're very happy with it, as it's an upgrade to what they had, and they're not particularly picky. I myself purchased the 50" version of this and have been very satisfied. It works really well with my Xbox and external Roku. We all love the Android functionality - more useful than the Roku version in my opinion. The picture is great, easy to use and program, easy for them to select the input, etc. The viewing angle is a little shallow, so if you're looking for a lot of clarity from the sides, this isn't the model for you. The only problem I've had is that very rarely it will develop a sound issue, where the audio comes and goes. It has to do with the HDMI input, and quickly turning off and on the TV solves it. If you're looking for all the bells and whistles, go elsewhere. If you're looking for a great, decently sized TV for the money, and are a fan of the Android platform, I'd recommend it highly. Do yourself a favor, pick up a Geek Squad add-on in case you have a bad model, as some of the reviews demonstrate. And keep the box in a closet for awhile just in case.

Great Picture, Out of Date Documentation.
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros. -Great picture, colors are excellent as well. -Audio, no clue, never used it. -User interface, it's alright, I could do without the dedicated Youtube and Netflix buttons. Cons. -Wifi antenna is subpar, leading to random buffering and drops in picture quality. -Built in Android device often needs restarts, so I unplug it for a few minutes about twice a week. -Instructions offer conflicting info on how to activate HDMI ARC, took several minutes as both online and paper instructions for the Android UI are woefully out of date. *I'm very tech savy, it was hard to me to figure out the menu system, now imagine someone who isn't, then the manual saying to access a menu that doesn't exist. Otherwise this is a great smart tv On Sale, I would not pay full price for it, however if you catch it on sale it's a great tv.

Great value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Apprehensive about purchasing a television sight unseen, but this turned out to be a great deal. Free delivery was a real plus. The picture is clear, set-up not a chore (syncing with cable service). Just a really nice television, and a great television for the price. Best Buy made good on their price match guarantee as well.

Decent TV but...
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great TV for what it is, just not as good as TCLs Roku tvs. There it some noticeable menu navigation lag. Also there seems to be a decent amount of ghosting on this TV when compared to my older 4K 43 inch TCL Roku TV. Other than that it's been great. Appreciate the Chromecast built in, makes streaming easier. Picture quality is what you'd expect, I purchased this TV for $280 on a black Friday, so it's about cheap TV quality level. I'd say definitely better than a Westinghouse or Element TV. About the same quality as a Insignia TV. As long as you know what your buying and your not expecting much it's a very decent buy. Have had it for a little over a year now and we use it everyday downstairs with no issues. Last thing I'll say is I would NOT recommend this TV for FPS games just because of the ghosting. For RPG/strategy games where there isn't too much 60fps movements you'll be happy with it.

Mostly good
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do like this TV. It is clear and fairly easy to use and set up. The only thing I dont like is the chromecasting lags really bad when casting from laptop. That is really disappointing b/c I like casting from my laptop to the TV so I can watch movies and also work. That was a big selling point for me.

Not a great TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It is big and bright which is good. Aside from that the remote HAS NO MUTE BUTTON. Who makes a TV remote with no mute button for all of the annoying commercials. There is also no way to use this device without agreeing to give all of your data to Google. If you are concerned about your privacy an Android TV is not a good choice but I could not find a new TV without someone collecting your data. Also the configuration may let you set a non-Google DNS servers but the TV wont work without Google's. You need to use Google's DNS so they will know everywhere you go even if you your a DNS proxy. The set up time was slow for a TV, logging in to Google waiting for updates and confirmations. Boot up takes a while so if you turn your power strip off to save energy it will take a few minutes to boot each time you turn the power back on.

Good TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It’s a good tv. Nice sound, super easy set up and cool features. I got it on sale cyber Monday for $199.99 so for the money I think it’s a really good buy. Now if I had to buy it full price I would jump for a higher budget tv with a bigger screen maybe, but for now I’m happy with my purchase.
