Surprisingly Good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the second TCL television I've purchased. PICTURE QUALITY The quality on the first one was surprisingly good, so I went with TCL again. If you were to look at one of those walls of TVs in a store, the picture quality is comparatively better than most. If you're wanting the best picture quality available, there are more advanced TVs, but I'm not the type to see the need to spend thousands on the latest. I'll gladly wait for the price to come down. SMART TV This particular model DOES NOT have the built-in Roku. Many TCLs do, and I rather enjoy that version. With that being said, this TV did have everything built-in, just as an Android device as opposed to Roku. I added a couple of apps, which was quick and easy. It would not be a deal breaker for me in the future, although everything being equal, I would go for the Roku. MOUNTING How to mount this TV isn't readily apparent. If you Google if this TV can be mounted, the first answer was no, which is incorrect. This TV can be mounted. We did. You have to take a couple of screws off the back. If you look on the Q&A section, there's a detailed answer. Bottom line is: yes it can be mounted. OVERALL This is an excellent TV for the price. If you're looking for the latest and greatest, those TVs are in the thousands right now. If you want a quality TV without paying the price, I would recommend TCL.

TCL TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture and sound. Very easy to install and setup. Remote is horrible. Literally have to point at a certain angle up close to make it work. Don't use built in apps. Just use Roku stick so I can use a better remote. Have done many updates and remote has gotten a little better. Overall, a great tv for price.

High quality, low price
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like TCL! I know this is an entry level TV, but for the price it’s high quality. My main TV is a 65” SONY BRAVIA with Klipsch surround and Onkyo receiver. With the amount of money I paid for that setup, I HOPE I paid for high quality. But I needed a basement setup behind the bar and I didn’t want to break the bank, (again). And TCL delivered. It’s a great picture quality, the smart tv works flawlessly, the remote’s super easy to navigate after playing with it for the first day. What struck me odd was that a SONY employee was working at Best Buy, and he tried steering me away from it. I read reviews and people liked TCL and I think the price point is one of the best for the quality you’re getting. He tried referring me to getting an LG but I’ve had horrible experiences with LG. I believe they used to make quality electronics and now cut corners to take advantage of customer loyalty. But this TCL is the real deal. For $450 it’s easily a no brained. If you’re reading this review because you’re on the fence... GO BUY IT. You’ll like it

Happy skeptic
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been a fire TV owner for a few years so I was hesitant to buy out of my comfort zone. This TCL hasn't disappointed! Good picture and sound quality and pretty user friendly. Love the Chromecast feature. My only dislike is that there isn't a mute button on the remote. Seems like that would be standard.

Incredible Value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my second TCL TV purchase. A few years back I picked a 43inch 5 series roku model and its has a beautiful picture and the Roku interface is great. I was looking to purchase another TV for my new basement recroom. I was not looking for a 55 inch but the Black Friday deal on this one was to good to pass up. PROS: The tv has a great 4k picture and the Android interface is decent. CONS: Im not a fan of the remote due to it missing a designated play/pause button. I could deal with it but it would have been better to have it. Every time I turn the TV on and give a command to the Google assistant via the remote button its always says, something went wrong, try again on the first and second try. Maybe there's a 30-40 second delay wifi connecting to the assistant.. hopefully this gets fixed with an update. I also read An article for this Android TV model indicating that there's a backdoor security access that hackers can easily access data entered on this tv.. such as passwords.. fingers crossed that this gets fixed by Google or TCL if its true.

Easy to setup. Great quality, esp for $250
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For $250, I'm honestly surprised at how nice this TV is. Setup with the Android/Google interface was extremely easy. I'm sure the picture does not quite compare to higher end models, but the picture is really nice for an entry level 4K TV. I have not had any of the sound issues discussed by several other people. The sound from the apps works fine, and the sound from devices (PS4, Switch) plugged in via HDMI inputs works great as well. Some people may prefer adding a sound bar, but the sound is great for me so far.

Great tv!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great 55" tv. It has 4k and the picture looks great. Android smart tv which I like. Keep in mind the remote will not just work with devices such as a fire stick. You have to go into the settings everytime you change the source just too use the control with the device. Doesn't matter to me since I just use the native smart tv functions. I got it for $200

Save Yourself $1500 on New TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Believe me when I say please save your money. I bought this TV on black Friday for under $300 including tax. I took it home and attached the stands under 5 minutes(they can do a little bit of improvement with the stand attachment). The quality is very far above my expectation. The picture is bright the audio is clear and loud without a sound bar. The menu is easy to navigate. I am very glad I made the purchase Why do I say you should save your money? I bought a top of the line LG TV in 2017 for about $2000. My children broke the screen with the remote and that is the end of it. LCD screens are not repairable. The plan was to buy this $300 TV as a temporary replacement before buying a more expensive one in the price range of the old one. Please save your money if you are considering shelling big bucks for new TVs. Yes the expensive TVs have better feature and better remote but the value of those feature does not worth half the price difference to majority of the consumers. My only suggestion for this TV is for the manufacture to make the remove more bigger as the children can easily break or loose the remote. major con is the remote does not operate the cable device . it only work on the TV

Standard TV
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Doesn’t have that many features and often runs a bit slow. Maybe I have too many streaming apps? And also I would love if I could change the brightness on this as well! It is really loud which I love and there’s beautiful screensavers to choose from

Nice TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a very nice TV. The Android operating system makes it easy to work with. The one feature that I like is the ability to access Google and all of the apps that I can get on my smart phone. The quality of the picture is great but you can only fine tune it to a point. The digital tuner works very good with reception of an antenna and brings in 63 channels in my area. WIFI is no problem when it comes to streaming from the different apps like YouTube, Tubi, Netflix, Prime Video, and other apps that is available from Google Play. The only draw back is the remote. There is no numerical pad that go to a specific channel. The only way that you can change channels is to scroll the channels until you get to the channel that you want. I suppose that you can buy a universal remote at Bust Buy but I think that the remote that comes with the set could be more advanced. This is the reason that I only gave it a rating of 4 stars.

Perfect Budget Smart TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cannot beat this for the price. Super easy to set up with google account. At first I couldn't figure out how to get Disney plus on here, but the once connected to WIFI for a few hours the tv downloaded an upgrade and that fixed it. Super light weight, I purchased a wall mount and mounted it myself, very easy.

TCL Tv.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is great Tv especially for the price that I got it. Beautiful TV. Trash remote. Choose Roku instead.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Day 1, It's an incredible TV for the price. Not my first TCL and they've never disappointed me. Super easy to set up (if you have gmail). HOWEVER, this is my first Android TV and the remote for this TV is AWFUL. There's no mute button or pause/play etc buttons, and on certain apps/streaming services its painfully slow to respond, which again you must manually navigate to pause. Consider the Roku version. My partner has a TCL Roku TV and the remote is just as simple but with the features you actually need. Even if you use something else to stream and don't need the smart TV functions on the remote, being able to mute when an ad plays or someone's talking to you shouldn't be taken for granted (apparently).

Love this TCL!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had limited expectations for this TV due to the price point and a few negative reviews. Best Buy's generous return policy allows you to return an item if you aren't happy so I went ahead and purchased the TCL. Let me say I am TOTALLY blown away with this TV! The picture is outstanding and the setup very straight forward and efficient. The remote is simple and intuitive. I recently bought an LG 43" for another room and, in my opinion, the TCL is head and shoulders above the LG. Love it!

Love the TV hate the remote
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality is good. I'm not a fan of compact remote. Please bring back the full size, i.e., numeric keys pad. I'm still in learning to master the remote control. Get into problem when link the droid phone to TV. TV is so light, I would be abled to hang it on the wall by myself.

Love it!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this on sale and I couldn’t be happier. The tv is thin and lightweight. Set up took no more than 10 minutes, and that includes pairing with internet, soundbar and my google home for voice control. I later discovered the tv sound is better than my sound bar (older), so that was a nice surprise. The picture is great for less than $300. This is my first android TV, and I was skeptical. But no issues or complaints here! FYI there is about 38 inches between the stand legs if you’re looking to sit instead of mount.

For the price, it’s a win!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Let me start by saying that I’m probably not as picky about picture as some- I certainly can tell HD from SD, but beyond that... Anyway, I was looking for a smart TV that this single parent could actually afford, and this fit the bill! So far, it has been money very well spent! Picture looks great! I was worried about Android TV (everyone is all about Roku, but as far as I could tell, the same TV was twice as much) because I’m an Apple person, plus, no one could tell anything about it... since no one has it... but I’ve had no trouble with it at all- very simple and plenty of free or paid content to view! I’ve had to call TCL customer service once, and they rectified the issue easily and without a long wait (I’m looking at you, Fios). And, Best Buy is always helpful as well! So all in all, not the best of the best, I’m sure, but for the money, it’s a huge win!

Good TV.
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a good tv, 4K beautiful picture great for viewing content, streaming or playing video games. What’s not so great is the native operating system with android OS. It’s slow unresponsive and not easy or user friendly. The tv is will become laggy and slow or freeze if we do too many things at once. However if you pair it with a streaming device like chrome cast, Roku, or in my case an apple tv4k it’s beautiful and worth every penny. If you want to just plug-in and consume content I’d say pass on this particular Tv. Otherwise with a paired streaming device it rocks!!

Decent TV, with some problems
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is pretty good overall, but it has a few issues. Very early on after buying the TV it got stuck in taking the sound from the headphone jack. I can solve it by plugging in speakers to the jack, but the regular TV output won't work. The slight exception is sometimes when the TV loses power, when it comes back on it temporarily uses the TV speakers before it fully boots up the operating system. This leads me to believe this is primarily a software issue, but I haven't been able to solve it. Also, if the wifi goes out, the system often has issues reconnecting to the wifi when it comes back up. Perfectly fine TV other than that, but there are clearly some wonky software issue.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great quality, good price. It syncs well with other google products (google home etc) and can easily be controlled too. My only con is the app selections, easily solved by a update. I would recommend and purchase this product again.
