Very Good Budget TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this TV for a good while and am very pleased with it's performance. You can expect very good black levels with HDR (as close to OLED without being an OLED) and good sound for built in speakers. It has a nice looking base with both a low profile and elevated option. Cable management could be better, though I've seen much worse in other TVs. Only real knock on this set is no HDR10+ as far as I can tell. You get previous standard HDR10 & Dolby Vision. Dolby Vision being the better HDR implementation in my opinion. Lastly, I feel it is worth noting shortly after purchasing as using this TV it began to produce a high pitched noise from the back of the panel when I had local contrast set to medium or above. I sent in a service ticket with TCL and they sent a technician to repair the issue free of charge and the noise never cropped up again.

Top tier gaming tv
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality on this set is outstanding for the price. You'll have to spend twice as much to get better. Full resolution 120hz gaming on ps5 is a game changer. Very little tweaking was required to get this TV looking exactly like i wanted it with bright hdr pop. Doesn't get quite as dark black as OLED but it's very close, and the color is very vibrant and full without having to crank the saturation up. Top tier gaming tv

Fits the bill for latest PS5 enhancements!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got a PS5 for Christmas, so of course I had to update my older 4k TV to match PS5 specs. I didn’t want to spend a lot, and I wanted Roku built-in, so options were very limited. Got this guy for $650 and really couldn’t be happier. Picture is fantastic, vibrant, games look amazing. It has VRR, 120Hz, HDMI 2.1, and a bunch of other stuff that looks great with PS5. I put everything at high settings (in game) and never see a hiccup. I will say blacks could be a bit better. But it is super simple to setup (I’m already a Roku user so all of that was simple), automatically picks and turns on game mode, auto found Roku Ready soundbar, etc. Build quality is nice and has an updated stand and design for 2022 model. Highly recommended!

You can't go wrong with this TV
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I am very happy with my purchase. The TV gets super bright and Dolby vision content looks amazing. I'm not the biggest fan of Roku but it's simple to use and easy for the family to navigate around. The operating system was not a deal breaker as I also have a Chromecast with Google TV hooked up if we want to use that. I did a lot of research before this purchase and pulled the trigger on this one because of past experience with TCL sets and overall positive reviews from just about every reviewer. In the short time I've had this set I have not experienced any of the issue others have brought up and the panel seems flawless so far. Overall I feel you can't go wrong with this set. It might have more competition in this price range now, but this set competes and in some cases bests those others on almost every standard.

Good TV but should be better.
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgrading from TCL 4 55" and it's a major change, especially the over blown up whites, reds and greens! Don't like it, images look too fake and animated. Yes, we're all different and we all have different views and for me, this is 60% of a LG 8000 series. I've had to mess with the fine tunning for few days to get it 'somewhat' good for viewing everyday stuff. Many SD programs look like crap, bad colors and over saturated. HDR10+ is basically a movie thats meant for those with extremely sensitive eyes to light because even at gamma 1.8, Clarkson's Farm on a sunny day, looked like it was recorded under a category 5 hurricane; dark, gloomy, no shadows or bright colors, very unwatchable to those that like to watch stuff in a normal way. If that's not bad enough, there's no way to turn it off! Let's go to the physics of this TV: It gets 115 degrees hot on top end, it buzzes pretty loud when there's mostly black screen, the speakers are less than 1980s Atari and the remote control is same basic one as ever. Sure you can operate it using your phone, but why? Instead, why isn't there a better way to view your media in the media player? Someone decided to make it one icon style Left to Right. If you change row style to short, you'll go nuts trying to find what you're looking for, especially if you have thousands of photos on your portable SSD drive! Overall, it's a good enough TV with plenty of faults and annoying settings that can drive you nuts. For that money, I would recommend a LG TV instead. The only reason why I bought this TV is because of Roku OS; simple, fast and Roku channels are top notch.

Love this smart tv!!!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This purchase wasn’t planned, but my 5 year old flat screen died. After much research, l settled on the TCL 6 Series and l couldn’t be happier. The picture is fantastic and it comes with a ton of bells and whistles. In addition, it uses the Roku interface, love it. Added a TCL soundbar, YES!!!

Enjoying It Big Time
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It had been a couple of years since I treated myself to an upgrade for my TV that I have on my screened in porch. This more than did the trick. It is nice and bright and can be seen at any time of day. I also like the fact that the stand is in the center and not those stupid legs that are spread apart on most TVs today. The fact saved me a couple of bucks by not having to by a separate table to stand from Amazon. My only regret is that I would have been better off waiting. A couple of weeks after my purchase my living room set needed to be replaced. So I ended up buying the 65 inch version a lot sooner than expected.

Better than the R615
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased the TCL R615 back in 2019 and it was an upgrade from my previous P605 i bought a year earlier. I can say that the R655 is a lot better than the 615. The picture and brightness is pretty good. The negatives is that there's a delay when you turn on the tv to when cable turns on. My Vizio soundbar connects effortlessly. The previous tv wouldn't connect through ARC...this one does. It's definitely worth the $699 I paid for this tv

Wow, For the price
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv meets my expectations as a pc gamer, 4k@144hz, yes there is flickering issues but not too noticeable, there is a coil whine when ever the screen goes dark, kinda annoying, the Roku interface is nice, could be improved such as allowing users to fine tune there purchased tvs, just like google os. All these issues are and should be fixed via a software update. Havent got any, Please TCL we need updates for those issues. Other than that its a best bang for buck tv for a gamer.

Great picture and quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is amazing. I might be a little overwhelmed considering I had an older TV, but it really is a crisp and vivid display. We love Roku, it's so easy and supports almost all platforms. TCL has been our go to brand for many years now, never had a bad experience to date. Sound from the TV is about what you would expect from TV set speakers. Don't think they suck because people are complaining about them, TV set speakers just suck. Get a sound bar.
