Great for those who don’t have time to watch tv

I got this tv just for my visitors because I haven’t watch tv it’s been over 4 years now (don’t have une for it) and they like it. The only flaws are that you have to consistently adjust the sound which is sometimes too low or too high and somehow the remove direct you to direct tv and you have to wait a while for the tv to be back on track. I don’t know why is that. Overall great!

I was not happy that the 3 composite portals in the bag were not able to do what my older tv did. I asked the salesman about it an he agreed this would work. I suppose it's his fault also. But on the old tv I use to plug in my sony wireless head phone kit and listen to both the tv on the headphones and on it's on speaker volume. Mom cant her well and I can. Anyway, it did not function like that. It was only for xbox or playstation connection. TV works great if you don't need it to do what I need it to do.

Upgraded from Toshiba 1080p which was also purchased from Best Buy. I can immediately see the difference in picture quality. Lots of picture adjustment options. Smart TV controls seem fast (some TVs can be slow to navigate menus), starts up fast from standby. Can power on TV from phone if you can’t find the remote. Only drawback so far is the Roku remote doesn’t have a headphone jack like a stand-alone Roku does. You can download the Roku remote on your phone and connect headphones that way. Overall satisfied with the product.

I was pleasantly surprised, this TV is quite good for $350. It is used for my garage TV so it sees hot and cold temperatures. I'm impressed so far with its consistent picture quality for the price point. However, I do NOT like the remote. This is definitely a feature where you get what you pay for. It's very smal, minimal buttons and the volume control is on the side of remote where I rest my hand holding. I continually hit those buttons when navigating the TV apps etc.

Saw the reviews and needed to replace a 9 year old DLP. Figured it’s worth the risk with the 5 year protection plan being $80. First tv had some weird lines go through it. Exchanged for a new one that’s been perfectly fine overall it’s a great value. The picture looks great, especially compared to my old TV. 4k Netflix and VUDU look awesome. Haven’t done a 4k blu ray yet. Just do yourself a favor and spend the $80 on the service plan. For $480 you have a great tv that’s guaranteed for 5 years.

In bright room dark scenes are slightly hard to see. The Vizio it replaced and Sony in other room seem brighter. The legs are ugly and cheap and don't appear very secure. The smart part seems to work well. Netflix, Prime, etc all hooked up well. I was able to train my RCN remote by going to TIVO code not TLC code. The Best Buy salesman said upgrading to better TLC would eliminate the brightness issue. Not sure the $200+ would solve. There are not a lot of adjustments available for this issue. So I can close the blinds!

This kind of TV at this size and at this price can't be beat. It's easy to set up and looks pretty good. My only gripes are that the remote seems to work only at certain angles, the image has a slight blue tint unless you're directly in front of the TV and my TV in particular seems to have a couple of dull shadows at the top of the screen. However, this is minor, probably temporary, and no LCD TV is perfect. All in all, I'm satisfied.

If you are looking to upgrade your old 1080p HDTV to the latest technology, this is a good entry level, low price TV that includes the latest 4K UHD/HDR technology. I noticed a slight increase in picture quality compared to my older 1080p HDTV . Even if you are still using a 1080p video source, this TV automatically "upscales" the signal to make a crisper, brighter, and sharper picture. If you are looking for a "no frills" large screen TV with the latest technology, I recommend this low cost TV.

I was hesitant to buy this TV due to some of the online reviews and comments. My biggest question was if I should spend a little bit more for a TV with Dolby Vision (a higher quality HDR standard). For the price, I ended up pulling the trigger and getting this TV. After living with it for a couple of weeks, I am extremely happy with the purchase (for the price). I think the 4k HDR looks good (not amazing compared to more expensive TVs), and I enjoy using Roku TV implementation.

I've had several "Name Brand" TV's in the past and I had a small bit of hesitation about buying my first TCL, but this TV has put all those hesitations to rest. The screen is hands down the best I've seen, bright and crystal clear. The ROKU software is lightning fast and functions perfectly. If I had to choose anything I didn't like, I'd have to say the remote is small and could easily be lost. If you're contemplating buying a TCL and having reservations, take the leap, you won't be disappointed. Highly recommended product.

I’m satisfied overall with the TV. The HD isn’t as good as on higher quality ones. I was looking for something in a hurry to replace my Samsung 65” curved tv that was 5 years old. I thought that since this was newer technology, that the picture would be about the same. I was mistaken. My 5 year old TV had much better picture quality. Overall I like all of the apps and the roku, but if you’re looking for a high quality picture and sound, this is not the one for you.

This TV is comparable to my Sony xbr55x810c. It takes a bit to configure the colors right but once set it looks good. It does have some vertical banding but if it's anything like my Sony it gets better over time. You don't notice the banding much unless it's on bright scenes like a sky. 4k and HDR. I wouldn't use the HDR cause I think it makes the picture look worse on certain things like Xbox one s but Netflix looks fine. Overall it's worth the price.

The functionality and performance of this TV is excellent. The set-up process is not bad at all. Very nice to watch movies, shows, sports.....anything. The reason I didn't rate it as excellent is because within one week of purchasing, it developed a red line across the bottom of the screen that wouldn't go away. Tech support was very good to deal with, and the replacement TV will be delivered next week. I hope this one lasts, as I really do like the set.

Review summary says it all. It's a decent tv for the price. I didn't need anything high end as I don't watch much tv and when I do it's just business shows so I don't need the highest quality or fastest refresh and all the bells and whistles. But this tv packs a good amount of tech in for the price. Was looking to buy a second for another room in the house.

This is one of the cheaper 55 inch TVs out there with 4K. I didn't buy it for the 4K, but the picture is impressive. Other reviewers have commented about the small Roku remote without any number inputs, but I have been using my cable remote so it is not an issue. It was easy to set up, and you can change the settings so cable comes on automatically when the TV is turned on, instead of the default Roku menu screen. All in all, a good value.

This TV surprised me honestly.Very accurate colors and the brightness, while not super bright, was decent. Although, I will say that I personally didn't like any of the warm picture settings that were recommended. It washed out the colors pretty bad and turned the blacks grey. I left the picture modes on Normal and it looked pretty good. It kept colors vibrant and black shades black. Just my preference though. Feel free to try it. Very good TV for the price.

I recently purchased this TV, we already had several Roku devices and we really love the simple interface and multitude of apps. Additionally we are cable cutters so the ability to switch between OTA TV and streaming apps is really great. The TV was simple to setup and I’m enjoying the overall picture quality and easy to use interface.

So the but is that the TV is randomly shutting off, when viewing. Im not sure why this is happening. It comes to have stopped doing that as of late. The built in menu of the roku user interface does have the same quality compared to what the Television is capable of. But over all price and performance it's definitely worth keeping. If you use this television everyday lower the brightness setting some, it will last longer.

I bought this TV about a week ago. This is my first 4K TV I have purchased. I love how this tv does include the Roku set up. Roku is very easy to use and it gives a great direction on awesome 4K content. The only thing I didn't love about this TV was the sound quality was average. I hooked up a sound bar to it and it works like a dream!

Although this TV does not have the clarity of an LG it is still a very good TV for the price. My only complaint is that HDMI one would not allow a direct connection to my receiver which has multiple gaming devices put through it. There would be in frequent times of signal interruption, snow and even blackouts. It wasn’t until I connected the HDMI from my receiver into HDMI two of the TV that it worked flawlessly.
