I bought this TV about a month ago now. I upgraded from a 40" 1080p Sony Bravia. Pros: -Crazy good latency. I'm getting under 1 frame when I test it with my HDMI NES. It's noticeable compared to the Sony w600b that I am coming from. It's one of the main reasons I bought the TV and the reason I'm keeping it. -Roku. I've never used Roku before and it's really great. Everything is extremely intuitive and easy to find. The controls are quick with very little loading. Cons: -It does have some really obvious gray uniformity issues. It also displays some pretty bad light bleed when on a black screen. It's distracting when playing games in 4:3 with a black background. My old Sony was much better in this respect, but I think I can get used to it. -Only 3 HDMI inputs, c'mon. -The remote control has to be aimed directly at the TV to work. You can download a remote app on your phone if you want. -I am finding myself constantly adjusting the picture settings depending on what I am watching or playing. Maybe it just takes a while to find something that works, but my favorite PS4 "Horizon" settings didn't work well for "Bloodborne" Thoughts: I am a little underwhelmed by the offerings of 4k so far. I expected a jump comparable to the day I bought my first LCD HDTV, but it's far short of that. I like this TV and I think it's a good purchase, but I wish my expectations would have been a little bit more in check. Hopefully the PS4 Pro sees some more games that really take advantage of the system.

TCL is certainly a brand that outs up and coming. This is a great TV, the only reason that I give it 4 stars is because the panel has some light bleed on dark scenes.

I originally purchased a Vizio, took it back because only HDMI 1 supports HDR and Deep Color. I did the research and now I couldn't be happier! Deep Color, HDR and Dolby Vision on all HDMI ports! Fantastic for my Xbox One X, all features supported with the exception of 4K@50hz which matters little here in the US. Very low input lag while gaming (Game Mode On). If you know about Local Dimming Zones, it has 72 of them. I've seen it compared to a Sony TV costing at least $1000 more and the Sony only had 48 Zones (Vizio had 12 Zones). Supports ARC and Optical Audio. As a PC monitor Windows detected HDR and Wide Color Gamut which is Great but required some major adjustments with my Nvidia 1080, not as much was needed with the two AMD 290x cards I took out! Why are you still reading? Buy it and Experience Greatness!!!

I was looking for a TV that could use with my PS4 Pro. Something with 4K and HDR features and this TV really fit the bill. The blacks are deep on a deep contrast setting in the menu and the visuals on games and also movies are just impressive in 4K. Keep in mind that what I was using before was a 32 inch Visio from way back in 2012, this TV was a monumental upgrade. Sure it's not an OLED or QLED, but for the price of 600 it delivers on all fronts. It's a Roku TV too, so all the channels available on any normal Roku are available for your viewing pleasure after download also. I have been searching for a budget 4KTV for awhile and this TV did the job. I'm set for at least another 5 to 10 years. And by then TVs will have improved even more with new technology and the OLEDs you see worth 1,500-10,000 dollars will be worth a few hundred dollars by then. I would recommend this TV to anybody who wants to upgrade their old TV and keep up with the growing technological base. If you have the money for an OLED then I would say go for it. But if you're like me who is on a budget and needs a more updated TV then this is the perfect TV to get. I've heard of bleeding on the sides but I haven't noticed anything like that. TV looks and views great, and that's all that really matters in the end for me.

The color is beautiful and very sharp picture with nice contrast. 1 star was for the sound quality and the lack of black uniform may appear in dark scenes.

Very fine TV for the money. 4K and HDR. The remote is seriously awful. Unusable. You’ll need to use your phone and the Roku app. Real good TV though.

We love this TV! My research indicated that the 2 key features to look for on 4K TVs are 1) HDR (fuller color palette) and 2) Local dimming (for deeper blacks where the scene is supposed to be black). This TV delivers on both counts for several hundred dollars less than the mainstream brands. The Roku interface is great for switching between Antenna (local broadcasts, Internet (we cut the cable cord!) and our DVD player. I wish it had "Voice Search" like my separate Roku 3 box had: the slightly more expensive version has this feature, I was not willing to pay for that. This TV does not quite match the visual performance of the OLED 4K TV's, but they cost almost $1,000 more when we purchased this set. The picture on this set is a HUGE upgrade from my old 1080p set (which lacked HDR and Local Dimming), so if you are wondering whether it is worth the upgrade - Now is the time!

This TV is very impressive! I already have a top-of-the-line OLED TV, but the 55p605 compares very favorably in every way. With the latest firmware the full array local dimming and HDR/Dolby Vision features allow this TV to put out a picture that rivals a calibrated OLED. The input lag is also very low for gaming, which is what I purchased this TV for. That said, I'd have no problems watching a new 4K HDR/Dolby Vision disc on this instead of the OLED. I mostly won't use it, but the ROKU interface is VERY impressive, and better than the LG software.
