This was purchased during the holiday sales and for the price, I'm quite happy with it. The picture is bright and detailed when displaying 4K and the menu interface is very intuitive and easy to navigate. My first purchase of a TCL product was actually another TV that was a Roku type interface. I was impressed by the picture, but for some reason, on dark or blacked out scenes, I would see something behind the screen that looked like a folded cloth at the corners. I couldn't deal with it, so it was returned and I bought an LG HDTV instead, at the recommendation of a Best Buy employee and it's still in use today. The one caveat to this TV would be the viewing angle. Because of my bedroom setup, I have to have my desk at about a 30 degree angle to the front of the set. Now this isn't a great view even without viewing angle issues, I'll admit, but with this TV, it totally whitewashes the screen. It's not crucial, however, as it's very rare that I'll be sitting in that spot, continually watching it. I also have it sitting on a table instead of mounting it, so it might possibly look better if I mounted it. Otherwise, I do like what this TV has to offer.. sometimes the thumbnails in YouTube look less sharp than my other LG set for some reason, but the picture itself once I view the content is great.

I bought this TV three months ago as an upgrade from a TCL Android TV. Since it’s only 60Hz, I wasn’t sure what to expect, but I’ve been pleasantly surprised. While I occasionally notice some blurring, the picture quality is still a solid improvement when upgrading from LED to QLED. Is this the best TV out there? No, but for $300, it offers great value for the price. I mostly stream movies, but my son connected his Xbox to it and activated the Game Mode feature, which I believe upscales to 120Hz for a smoother gaming experience. I also tested it with a football game, and the picture quality was surprisingly satisfying. If you’re looking for a budget-friendly TV without sacrificing decent picture quality, you won’t be disappointed. Plus, the Google TV features are a fantastic bonus—you can cast from your phone, integrate it with Google Home, and even use a hub to control it with voice commands. I also love the variety of free channels available! This TV is definitely a great "bang for your buck" option.

Out of the box, picture isnt the greatest. After playing with the settings and a few adjustments, it is now more than acceptable. The google os is surprisingly snappy and modern looking, but a little cluttered and unorganized for my taste. I bought a Roku 4k stick, and i couldnt be happier. I set it so everytime the TV turns on, that it continues from its last video source, which is HDMI 1 for my Roku. Also will probably prolong the life of your TV as it is less stress on your TVs processing. One minor thing ive noticed is that once and a while it does have some micro stutters, almost like frame drops when i am streaming. I am still trying to figure out why. Might need to dive into the settings a little more. Black levels are surprisingly pretty good. I have an LG C2 Oled as my gaming TV so i have something great to compare it to. Its obviously not OLED level black, but for 1/4 of the price of my LG, i cant complain. First time giving TCL a try and i will probably do it again. I recommend.

Ok. So lately, I've tried out quite a number of TV's. For example, I tried out some bottom tier TCL's the 1080p version looked great with regular TV, but awful with gaming. I game @ 1440p/90Hz-120Hz mostly. I tried an S-model awhile back and the latency was insufferable. I tried a Hisense U7N and almost committed to it, but FOR ME PERSONALLY the 'white light' was just too bright and it required too much calibration. btw: gaming on PC & Switch--This Q6 on the other hand, is a good balance of latency and picture quality. I realized with the U7 that I don't really fancy local dimming much. This TV doesn't really seem to need it for me personally. The colors aren't drowned out like they were on the U7. It's just right. Low-def TV streaming doesn't look too great, no super-res, but I'm a gamer; I don't care. It may not be for everyone, I have a REALLY DARK living room, and don't need much white light and I typically wear glasses and other TV's created too much glare. This one seems just right for me. I'm committed to it. It feels good to find "The One". *(The refresh rate can go up to 120Hz when I duplicate the signal from my gaming monitor in Windows.)

The TCL 55” Q6-Series (2024) is a great option if you’re looking for a solid 4K TV without spending a ton. The picture quality is surprisingly good for the price—colors are bright and vibrant thanks to the QLED panel, and it supports all the major HDR formats like Dolby Vision and HDR. It doesn’t have local dimming, so some highlights in darker scenes don’t pop as much as they could, but for everyday streaming and casual movie nights, it really holds its own. What makes this TV stand out even more is the Google TV interface. It’s super easy to use, quick to navigate, and gives you access to all the big streaming apps right out of the box. Plus, it works with Google Assistant, Alexa, and even Apple HomeKit if you’re into smart home stuff. The built-in speakers are fine for basic use, but if you’re into action movies or immersive sound, you’ll probably want to add a soundbar. Gamers will also find a lot to like here. The input lag is low, and it supports Variable Refresh speed and Auto Game Mode, which keeps things nice during fast-paced gameplay. It doesn’t support full 4K at 120Hz, which sucks but it can handle 1440p at 120Hz, which is still great for most gamers. All in all, the Q6-Series is a fantastic value—good picture, easy to use, and loaded with features that make it feel more expensive than it is.

I am really happy with this TCL Q6-Series 55 inch TV. The picture quality is bright, colorful, and super sharp in 4K. Movies and sports look amazing, and HDR makes such a big difference. It completely upgraded my living room and feels like a mini home theater now. Setup was very simple and Google TV is fast, smooth, and easy to use. All of my apps were ready to go right away and switching between them is instant. I also use it for gaming on PS5 and the motion stays very smooth with no noticeable lag. The design is sleek and looks great in the space. The sound is better than I expected, and with my soundbar it feels like a full theater experience. For the price, the quality and features are unbeatable. I would definitely recommend this TV to anyone looking for a great upgrade.

I hsd no idea that I was getting such an amazing and incredible TV for just under $350 with tax. This TCL is dimply beautiful and incredibly fast with Google TV. I came from a Hisense Roku TV and this unit is night and day better. I was watching Outlander and I may have to go back to the beginning if the series because I may have missed so much. The resolution on this TCL is simply spectacular! Highy recommended!

We where inbthe market for a tv for our bedroom. I purchased this tv for my mom and I liked it so i bought one for myself. The picture is good. I use a roku to stream. I have had a hard tome getting the color right. I also notice that at certain angles its difficult to see. The value of this tv is great. I love the ease of getting the apps to open. This TV is well worth the momey

This has been an amazing buy. If you are looking something amazing for a budget this tv is for you. The Google TV makes it a plus for me with access to multiple apps and free TCL tv for live channels you don't need to shell out more money for cable tv.

I spent a lot of time picking out the tv I want. And i want the thank the associate who took me around the tv section and explained the differences and then helped me schedulemy shipping since Ihave a small car. The delivery service was on time and very quick! The color is amazing has the amount of hdmi ports and connects perfectly with my new sound bar! I almost went with a 65in glad i didn't because it wouldn't fit! I love my selection everyone knows BestBuy is the only place to buy for tv!

We chose TCL Google Tv for the first time. Good picture quality and smooth purchase from Best Buy BUT, we can not turn the TV on via Google nest the way I did previously with Roku TV. It turns it on and off ONLY for couple of minutes after we manually click the TV on via remote which I find weird. Also I do not like the Google interface much, too much scrolling and too tiny boxes. Overall it’s a decent purchase and not sure if we didn’t connect it right.

For starters, this is my 2nd of this exact model. I bought one for our living room a few years back and loved it. When I saw it was on sale, I decided the bedroom needed one too! The color and picture is phenomenal, interface is super user friendly, and itlinks up right away with the TCL soundbar and subwoofer. Cons: With any SmartTV, there’s a lag or delay over time with the use of the home screen and loading in some apps, but nowhere near as bad as I’ve had with FireTVs. Would buy again if I had somewhere to use it!

Great picture quality, quick response time. The only complaint I have is that the remote is overly sensitive. Sometimes I will just set it down on the table and it’ll change a setting or switch channels.

This is my first tcl tv, and I must say I'm very impressed!!! I'm normally a Samsung girlie, but opted for something under $300 & was at least 55" in size. The quality, & features really sell this tv!!! It's literally like bringing the cinema to your bedroom. The picture quality is phenomenal, you can really tell how much of a difference having the Dolby vision & atmos makes for watching movies & shows. Mounting the tv was super easy, it is incredibly lightweight. The setup was a bit lengthy, but other than that I'm glad I took a chance on this tv.

Product is superb, the Qled makes it look crisper, the sound quality is stunning, android tv makes it more advanced, in terms of user interface it’s almost as fast as a smartphone with enough ram and storage ( i guess 20+gb), so overall it’s a great deal for someone who is prioritising not only Picture quality but also overall user experience!

Omg the picture is phenomenal. Its a night and day difference from what i had before. Its a great t.v. for the price. You won't be disappointed.

Great TV for the $$. Pro: Picture Quality, Numerous settings for tweaking the picture. Price Con: Remote is lacking functionality buttons for Play/Pause, FF/RW. Definitely some lag with the remote. Also, the built-in WiFi doesn't seem as responsive as my more expensive Sony Bravia did (my TCL TV is located directly next to my Gigabit router and I have fiber optic internet speed). Overall - a great value TV at $300 price point for a 55"
