I was skeptical between this, the Q6, the QM7, and the Hisense U6 and U7. I didn't want to pay north of $400 for a TV and I think this TV is very bang for the buck. It has decent color accuracy and local dimming. While there aren't as many dimming zones as the QM7 or the Hisense U7, the price is also significantly cheaper. HDR looks great, and so does 4k content. Make sure to have a streaming service that supports 4k, else you'll just be viewing up-scaled content. 1080p up-scaling is also decent, however 720p is very average. Games look great on this thanks to the native 120hz refresh rate (which is what made me choose this over the Q6 and Hisense U6). I played some Forza and FC24 and the motion scenes look great, as you'd expect. My biggest qualm with this TV is that the speakers output surprisingly low volume audio. Even when set to max, it compares to 40% volume of other TVs. Won't matter though if you have a soundbar or some home audio setup. All in all, its a nice TV for gaming/content consumption. If you do have the budget, I'd recommend going for the QM7 as it's the newer version of this model and has better brightness and more dimming zones. But that doesn't take away the fact that this is a great TV for the price.

This is a great TV for a price. Brightness/color is adequate. Refresh rate is great for sports watching. Google TV integration offers tons of customizations. Google casting is acceptably fast. I often cast YT videos to this TV. No need to add external dongles. Free TCL channel offers lots of free content. The TV has some very rare sync issues with my Polk soundbar (through eARC). Turning the TV on and off fixes the issues.

This is the best value for money tv in it's price range and cheapest 120 hz tv for gaming. Games and shows look great. You can see some raised blacks in movie letterboxing in a dark room since there are only one hundred and something dimming zones. If you want better black letterbox bars you probably need to look at the qm8. However for those looking for the best tv for the least amount of money while still getting something you can be happy with this is a great choice! Google tv is very snappy and responsive as well! The speakers are only okay so i would recommend a soundbar. But that goes for most tvs.

For the price of the TV it performs and looks very good. The Smart Features are very responsive with no delay, however time will tell with updates. Bought this TV to use as a sim racing/gaming monitor due to the rated 120hz @ 4k. For some reason the TV will not support this resolution on PC it will constantly flash and display the input. I have tried to run this on different cables and computers with no success. I am waiting for TCL to hopefully come out with an update to address this issue if possible. It will run 2k resolution at 120hz no problem. I cannot see no visible clouding in the panel and the black level is very good. This almost has OLED performance for 1/3 the price. I find the speakers to also be decent. I currently have it wall mounted and I don't find the need add a sound bar (For what I use it for in my office) the speakers provide just enough rumble. If you can get one of these TV's on sale it is a great value. If they can get the 4k PC support 120hz working properly I would change my rating to 5 stars.

I’m VERY satisfied with this TV! I’ve had this TV for about 5 months now and I’ve been using it nonstop for gaming, watching my shows and YouTube! This is my 1st “nice TV” after upgrading from an ancient fat TV from 1999 and I could never go back. I also use this TV as a 2nd monitor on my computer and that’s where it started giving me issues. 1st it was a bit confusing to get the TV set up as a monitor and be able to utilize the full 120hz. And when I did manage to, it would occasionally flicker for whatever reason. I later bought an HDMI 2.1 cable to connect to my computer to the TV and it definitely helped, but I would still get some flicker or it would turn the screen off for a couple of seconds randomly. But overall, I love this TV a ton!

Got it for my PS5 and it's been awesome. Games run super smooth with the 120Hz refresh rate and low input lag. The display is also great for shows and movies—colors are vibrant and the contrast is solid. Setup was quick, Google TV is smooth, and while the sound is decent, I recommend a soundbar. Really happy with this TV.

Overall please with my purchase. Very good sound and picture quality . This is my 1st QLED tv so I wanted to go with a mid range price before I stepped into the high priced tv’s and I have no complaints especially for the price . Very user friendly and light weight for a 55inch I was able to hang it myself no issue . If you’re looking for a QLED at a reasonable price with good quality this is worth the purchase .

Out of the box, the TV looks great and was very easy to set up. Imagine it’s an isolated issue, but there is a small 1/2”x1/8” strip of dead pixels on the lower-right part of the screen. We were very careful while setting up the TV so it’s more frustrating than anything to have to take it back to the store to exchange for a new one. Apart from that issue, the picture looks great and the TV is very responsive to the remote which is a huge upgrade from our old TV. Will update review after exchanging for the same model.

The TCL Q7 is a good midrange television. The brightness and picture quality are both great. The screen can also support 120hz. Not many televisions have this feature at this price, so if you're a gamer this could be a great tv for you. The only setback for the Q7 is that the speakers are of pretty average quality. If you sit in close proximity to the tv, speaker quality may not be an issue.

This is the best tv I’ve ever owned. Great color all around and the 120hz native refresh rate makes watching sports even better, especially fast paced sports like hockey. I wasn’t familiar with the Google tv interface but it is extremely intuitive and straight forward to operate. I did a lot of research before making this purchase and there’s really nothing close to this price range that delivers these features. I would recommend this to anyone.

So far I have enjoyed it! I went from a 43" to a 55" so it's the much better! The picture quality is amazing and the 120HZ refresh rate makes gaming that much better! Very happy!

Let me just say, this is a really nice television. When I look to buy a television....I look for Brand, Quality, Reviews. This TV has them all and for me I bought it here at Best Buy on sale shhh... and it's 4K @120Hz.... Beautiful picture quality for the price! PS. will come back for a long term review

This is one of the brightest sharpest TVs I’ve owned. While the picture quality is impressive, and 120hz is definitely a huge bonus for gaming on my PS5, I do wish the legs for the stand were smaller and less protruding. Overall, it's a great choice for movies and gaming. Almost no glare even in a bright room with many windows.

This is a great TV. My favorite part is the fact that it has 120fps all around. It’s an even trade for the people who love watching movies with nice 4K quality, and the gamers that love playing at 120fps and 4K

I purchased this gift for Father’s Day for my husband. He is a gamer and has not had experience and gaming on anything that is 120 Hz and higher. He got this TV and connected it to his PS five he is experiencing the best gaming that he has, this was affordable, easy to set up and has an amazing picture

This tcl tv is phenomenal, the picture quality, gaming performance, VRR 120hz on ps5 and xbox series X were amazing. Even down to the remote lol it waa highly recommended by one of the floor associates at my best buy location, for the price i got it 399.99 after my discount of $100 off. I couldnt aak for a better tv for my game room

Definitely not a bad TV for the price I bought it for. I got it when it was on sale for just under $500, which people who are technologically inclined seem to say that it is a catch for that price. The colors do well, as well as the sound. If it weren’t for my own near sightedness, I could potentially enjoy it from further than 7 feet away, but it is definitely recommended to use this at 10 feet or less. Otherwise, if you happen to catch a good sale on this, don’t hesitate to use it as a starter TV for a room until you can afford a better TV down the road. Also important to note, when you unravel the TV from its styrofoam sheath, the panel is wrapped entirely in a dust cover plastic film. There is a sticker attached to that film that makes it look like it is stuck to the panel, but it is actually attached to the film, and it comes off when the entire wrap is peeled off.

If you’re even thinking about purchasing this, DO IT!! It’s amazing. After doing research, buying and returning 3 TVs, I finally found this one. I have an OLED, and this compares very similar, and less than half the price. If that’s a 10/10 then this is 9.5/10. Amazing TV for the price, others do not even compare to the Full array and refresh rate.

I bought these tv's for $399 each. I was looking for the cheapest 120hz tv since I'm building a dedicated LAN party in my basement for the PlayStation 5 & XBox Series X. I'm no expert when it comes to picture quality, but this is by far the best looking tv I've owned. Even better than my Hisense 100" QD7. I think the blacks in these is pretty good. Not OLED black, but pretty good for a non OLED. I can't believe this tv is only $399. Super happy with my LAN Party.
