Screen Ruined After Only 3 Years

It's only been 3 years and there is a big area of discoloration in the bottom part of the screen that no troubleshooting can get rid of, it seems the screen is separating from the back part inside and it's not been hit. Other than the tv being ruined it's easy to use and before this the picture quality was amazing. I'm really sad cuz I liked this TV but I'm not getting another of this kind since I can't trust the nonexistent longevity of it's construction

the TV itself is awesome. Great TV for the price, set up was a breeze, the feet for the tv are further out from the center than I expected, which caused me a little problem with my current stand, but I improvised and it's fine now. Movies and games look so good. I love it. The delivery was horrible though. Not the people, just the process. It was supposed to show up a week prior to when I got it. I got a call around 930 the night it was supposed to be delivered, they told me they were on my way and asked if I minded a late delivery, I didn't mind, since they were just sliding it in the front door it was no big deal. I get a call 20 minutes later that their truck broke down... annoying, but it happens, I tried to schedule for the next day, but the lady said she couldn't reschedule, id need to call in the morning to do it... ok, that sucks, but I did... on hold for an hour and fifteen minutes. Get hung up on when I tell them the issue.. call back... on hold for another hour and thirty minutes... talk to someone and try to reschedule my delivery for that day. Apparently even though I was technically next to be delivered, I now had to wait nearly two weeks... unacceptable, I had to take off work and everything... ask to talk to a manager... on hold 45 minutes... manager completely ignored my concerns, so I try to get the number for the store my tv was coming from, wrong number given... end up going to the closest store and rescheduling it for a week later because there was nothing anyone could do i guess... Anyways, yeah, awesome tv, but I won't be having best buy deliver anything again if I can help it.

I've had my TCL 65-inch TV for a few years, and it has worked well until recently. Now, I'm sitting in my living room staring at a black screen. The TV turns on and off, but I'm unable to see anything. I've unplugged it from the wall and disconnected the cable from the back of the TV, but nothing has helped. I can't afford to buy another tv.

This is my second and largest TCL television- the other is a 55” in our family room, this one a 65” and is for a bonus/studio/entertainment room upstairs. For the money, TCL can’t be beat. Both my TCLs have an incredible picture - I’m 64, retired, and I personally don’t need 16k mega gaga pixels for $5-10k. The combined price of both my TVs was less than $1000. That’s a total of 120 viewing diagonal inches. Setup was extremely easy, and I’ve never had any problems with either tv. The only recommendation I would suggest is to add a sound bar, with or without the surround components (usually 2 small satellite treble speakers + a woofer/bass). The built-in sound works fine but for the cost of sound bars these days, you may as well add one. Are there better TVs out there - probably - but for my 64 year old eyes and for my retired fixed income budget, this TCL tv is simply unsurpassed.

The T.V. arrived when scheduled. Unboxing was simple and setting up was very easy. Watching shows and gaming is a breeze. However, some apps through Roku don't always seem to work correctly or won't load. Also if you switch between apps too quickly multiple times it really slows down and almost doesn't work for a few minutes. On Netflix, if you delete an account it WILL freeze the T.V. for some time and haven't found a fix for that as of yet aside from leaving it alone for a couple of hours. All that aside, which isn't much, great T.V. especially for the price, and those issues can be avoided once you know about them.

Our old TV went out so I needed a new one. I found this model on sale at Best Buy. It was easy to set up, just two legs to attach. We already had a Roku account so it was easy to connect this new TV to our account. We use an antennae for local channels so we just screwed the antennae wire into the spot on the TV and they still come in great for us. Its easier to switch from streaming to local channels now as the DVD player and local channels each have a box in our list of Roku streaming channels, just click the box and they are on. No need to change the input on the TV, it does it automatically. The only drawback is the sound. The speaker is not very strong and the volume level must be adjusted between many of the streaming channels and between streaming channels and the local channels. I will probably buy an external speaker to use with it. But overall a good TV, well worth the cost.

So I had a ton of rewards points that I used on this purchase, so the price was definitely right for me last fall when I purchased, but now on clearance, it is an absolute no brainer. You have to like Roku as it is all about Roku. The remote is very simple - in fact, it may be too simple. The worst feature to me is the inconsistent way in which subtitles are handles (which we a lot of times use because we have a noisy 4 year old, lol). Most all apps, other than I believe Netflix and Apple TV, you have to exit, go to the Roku's accessibility menu, and enable/disable there. Very disruptive. Picture quality is good - I have to say I wasn't blown away in comparison to my long term, beloved 1080p Toshiba, but it is good. Do not get if you like to retro game - there are only 3 HDMI inputs (it really needs a 4th in today's world). There are no composite/component inputs like retro systems would use. Minor quibbles aside, all in very satisfied. It has been very reliable as well (knock on wood!). I did get the Best Buy Protection, but luckily have not had to use it.

This tv is great. I got it for 399 on Thanksgiving weekend. For that price the picture is good and the built in Roku is a great perk. Only suggestion would be to get a Roku Bluetooth remote because the IR on this remote is finicky. Easy fix though for a great priced and great looking tv.

I bought the 65" tcl roku tv over a month ago and I'm very satisfied with it. The picture quality is very good, The speakers are in the back just like all flat screen TV's and there ok but would sound much better with a sound bar witch I will be buying soon. I had to replace my 55" Samsung so I bought this tcl and it is just as good. I like that it has ruko built in. It has a lot of apps that you can add to it's home screen. I did have to change the setting for when the tv truns on, it goes to the TV's home screen where the apps are, I still have cable (pay tv) And I wanted it to go to my cable box instead of the TV's home screen, this can easily be found in the menu. I also like that I can use the ruko app on my phone to listen to the tv with my phone's head phones on, this is good if you're like me and can't sleep and want to watch TV late at night. This is a very good tv for $400.00.

outstanding tv. Price was out of this world. I saw the 55 at walmart and then went online to find a better price, as if it was possible and thwen saw amazon had it free deliver, no line juast get it done while following my wife around the store. Then I saw the 65", to date he biggest and best looking tv I've owned. I have a $1k oled 43" tv in the bedroom and I see no difference. It was less than $100 more for 10's. Then I saw best buy had it and lets face it, as convenient as amazon is, id still rather buy from best buy if all thing r the same. So I did. Very Happy. The TV is a Roku TV and Roku remote, easy as pie to set up. all can be done from that. Not sure how you would change a station if I had an antenna. TY

This is a good TV when taking the price into consideration. A 65 inch TV for $500! that's pretty amazing. Daily TV watching is fine. If you're upgrading from an HD 1080 TV then it'll be a pretty good upgrade, you'll notice the difference. If you're looking for a cheap TV this one is good, especially when considering how big of set you're getting. If you want a better picture and still very budget minded, consider the 6 Series of the same brand. The only bad thing is the Roku remote it comes with. It's a regular Roku remote but with added volume buttons. I tried programing my DirectTV remote to operate the volume but couldn't get it done. Not sure why, but something to consider.

I had bought the tv thinking that I wanted this huge tv for my bedroom, I thought that I wanted a theater experience for my Games but I realized that I was just spending money to fill a void and that this extravagantly big tv just wasn't me. I liked the tv it was amazing with great color, it had roku apps built it and it had personalized inputs that recognized what consoles I had plugged in, it was a good tv but I realized that I was just hoping that it would make me happy and it didn't, even with all it's features it had less than my old tv, this one had no Component ports it only had composite with even that was only through an adapter that plugged into the aux port it also lacked VGA support which I know isn't used by anyone other than us Dreamcast fans but it was still somthing that was included in most tvs (even my last budget HDTV had one) and it was a port that I valued having in my setup so the only thing it had over my old tv was the larger screen and I realized that I didn't truly want that. It may sound like this tv has a lot of nagatives but if you aren't much of a Gamer and you just want a cheap 4K TV for movies and tv then I do recommend giving one of these TCL tvs a look as it wasn't a bad tv, really, it just wasn't for me

This TV is simple to set up and use. The picture quality is excellent and the smart interface is quick to switch between different channels or services. While the sound is as adequate as any TV, I have added a simple, inexpensive sound bar which rounds it out nicely. With the strong performance and low price point this TV is an easy choice. You'll find it similarly priced everywhere but Best Buy's customer service outshines all others. They even deliver it free!
