Decent TV but honestly, it can be a bit slow. I’ve had it freeze on me several times. Picture quality is good

IMO this is a very nice TV for the price. The screen quality is extremely nice. The colors are great, and honestly everything on-screen is just very pleasing to look at. I did calibrate my TV as much as possible, as everyone should be doing, and I'm just astonished at how good it looks for the price. Coming from an older 4K TV with an IPS panel, the colors definitely pop more and have better contrast. Black levels are surprisingly great for an LCD. too. The only thing I dislike about the TV is the software. I went with Google TV cause I have more experience with it, and because of all the issues regarding app availability on Roku. While the functionality of the OS itself is great, it is veeeery sluggish at times, especially when turning on the TV. It's obviously more to do with either TCL's customizations to the OS or the TV's CPU, but once the TV is fully turned on and has had some time to wake up, it runs just as smooth as my Chromecast with Google TV that I have on another TV in my house. I do hope though that TCL looks into this and is able to optimize or tweak the performance to be a bit better.

I am very happy with the purchase of this TCL-65. I originally purchased a Insignia 58" Fire TV for the bedroom which I returned. I took a day to research which TV would give me the best value for my money. I searched Amazon and Best Buy among other sellers for prices and models. I also searched YouTube for reviews and info. I have 2 LG 4K TV's a 65" & 75" that I purchased within the last year and a half. The LG's cost twice the price of the TCL, I prefer the TLC over my LG's. I offered my wife the 75" LG out of my media room for the 65" TCL I got a resounding no way!

I purchased this TV to replace and older LG TV and i must say, the picture quality on this TV is incredible. I am blown away by the the rich colors this TV has and the brightness is unreal. You have to test this TV with those Netfilx Dolby movies. The colors are so insane. The price point on this amazing TV is mind blowing. The Google user interface is pretty cool. it allows me to launch various streaming sites all from the home screen, ive even started taking control of my smart home appliances from this TV. Very light TV which made it easy to install. the setup was painless, within a few minutes i was up and running, watching my shows. A few weeks ago i hooked my PS4 to this TV, man I was so impressed at how amazing the picture quality was. I only wish my PS4 went up to 4K ...Im looking forward to obtaining a PS5 and seeing how well it does. I am a Fan

This TV is very good for watching sports and playing Xbox. Very reasonable price.

Great TV in terms of quality and price. I was looking for a TV for last six months. When I got the deal of $100 sale, I bought it immediately. This TCL is giving excellent service. Only thing is the TV remote is not that powerful. Otherwise fine.

I have been a fan of google chromecast for years and especially love the newer model, so I was excited for the google tv integration on this tv. I am also using a google nest mini to control all my google home devices. But this tv interface just doesn’t work well and presents too many software and performance issues. The picture and all basic features are fine, but when I issue voice commands, the results are maddening. Sometimes the google assistant on the tv responds, while other times the google nest responds. A voice command to play a song on Spotify opens a lite version of the app (as opposed to opening the full Spotify app). This version only has play and pause and you can’t skip tracks or go back to a previous track. Why exclude the most basic features of music playback? Further, my optical audio connection does not work at all when using the modified app (audio is fine on other apps). Audio works fine if I open the full Spotify app. But the most frustrating issue with this tv is that the google assistant overlay that pops up when issuing a command stays on the screen permanently and obstructs whatever I’m trying to view. This overlay should disappear automatically (as TCL has acknowledged in y correspondence with them). So whatever hands free advantages audio commands offer are negated by having to pick up the remote to manually close the assistant overlay. I returned the first one I purchased under warranty, but the replacement is even worse! There are more issues, but I’ve already given enough of my time to this headache. As much promise as the google tv integration offers, the performance just isn’t there. Better to just plug in a google chromecast with google tv than deal with this glitch machine.

Love the picture, good sound, easy interface, have ro reset it on very rare occasions. But very satisfied!

I bought this because I love my old 5 series Roku TCL. This one has a much better picture and sound. The Google TV system seems to work better than the Roku as well. I am knocking a star off the rating because the TV doesn't support Apple Airplay2 and can't be added to HomeKit; TCL support confirmed this on the phone. Too bad.

The 5 series TCL 65" T.V. I bought from Best Buy was about the easiest and smartest purchase I have made. Best Buy made it easy with a great price, and TCL makes a great T.V. It was easy to hook-up, It has lots of features and most importantly, has a great picture. What's not to like?
