    Color uniformity and lack of support from Geek Squ

    I was excited to have my first 4K TV and was satisfied with it for about a week until I noticed the lack of color uniformity . Beyond that I purchased a protection plan so I would have help if something like this happened but after an hour on a chat and phone exchange with geek squad, I was told I needed to contact TCL. TCL sent me a list of things to try which will take up a lot of time including resetting the TV to it factory settings and losing all the programing I had done. There is clearly something wrong with the screen and I am disappointed not only in the TV but lack of support from geek squad. I probably am sending this back.

    Serious Quality Issues on the TCL 5 Series

    For the first couple of weeks this TV was great. However after about a month the top of the screen started pulling away from the casing, leaving a crazy amount of light bleeding out of the top of the TV and a noticable line on the screen. On top of that, there is now a large noticable cluster of dead pixels on the screen which is very distracting when watching. Contacted Best Buy, they were nice but would not do anything to help and was told to contact TCL. Contacted TCL support and provided them pictures of the problems. TCL will not take responsibility for this lemon of a TV and we are stuck with it. We have a TCL 4 series that we got during black Friday and that is one of our best TVs in the house, wish the more expensive 5 series was built half as good. Do NOT buy this TV, spend a little more money and purchase a brand that will actually stand by their product. Will never buy another TCL TV and will never buy a TV from Best Buy again.

    Really liked the tv at first. But then noticed some weird spots in 4 different places. We returned the tv and got a Samsung.

    Excellent Visual Experience—Highly Recommend! I recently purchased the TCL QLED 56" TV, and I must say, it has exceeded my expectations in every way.     Do not buy this tv. Doesn’t support Dolby vision like it claims. Goes to green screen constantly. Waste of money

    I really enjoy watching nature programs in ultra 4K , the picture still impresses me almost a year later. I had never heard of TCL TV’s before after watching several you tube videos , I purchased one and liked it so much I bought another one for a good friend as a thank you gift. His family is just as pleased as I am. The Roku operating system works great and tons of free or very affordable programs available, which you can cancel right on your tv . My only complaint is that my soundbar & speakers are not recognized when trying to pair them via Bluetooth. I’m pretty sure it only connects to a Roku sound system. I use a HDMI cable to connect them and it works flawless . It wasn’t a deal breaker for me , I will be looking at TCL TVs 1st when I need to purchase next tv. The remote is infared so you need to point it at the TV & it’s a little on the cheesy side. But I’m still happy with purchase. There are better TVs out there but not in the same price range . You have to spend almost 2x the price to really see a difference in the big name brand TVs . The Sony’s, Samsung etc that were only a few hundred dollars more did not have as nice of picture as this. Their Qled models were a tad nicer but 2x the price .

    Wow! I cannot be more happy with this TCL television! Picture quality is outstanding! I’ve yet to see any imperfections! Sound is not the greatest but we added a soundbar and it feels like we are at the theatre! Very well worth it!

    I use my TV with the TCL Alto 7+, and they make a good pair. It has a brilliant image. Really appreciate the vivid colors and intuitive Roku interface. A really good deal!

    Impressed with the quality of the picture. QLED is very good. Watching MLB the colors stand out. Even the players on close-ups almost have a 3D effect. Not as much with the remote. Sound quality even with out a sound bar is quite satisfactory. When comparing with other brands missed the item that this was the ONLY ONE that had adjustable stands. We hung it on the wall but in with adjustable stands we could have placed it on a stand.

    GREAT PICTURE, Lots of Settings, Easy to Use, Upgraded from "2018 TCL Series 5", Big Difference w/QLED, Love it, Mom said Looks Way Better than her "2018 Series 6", I agree, So She Had to Upgrade hers to the "2020 Series 6". I've only owned it for about 6 weeks, but so far Its Great!!!, So 5 Stars Right Now!!!! Definitely would Recommend this QLED TV to Anyone for the Price!!!

    Exceptionally pleased with the TV and it feels like a great value for the price. I’ve never used Roku before and have found it super easy and perhaps just as good as AppleTV. I had it up and running in a matter of minutes, the Roku app pairs quickly with my phone or iPad and all my streaming apps run smooth. Paired with a soundbar and subwoofer, it’s exactly what the living room needed.
