Best Value with Great Features
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After extensively reading reviews online, I saw this that TV was by far the best for the price. I originally bought the 50 inch model and was so impressed I replaced the tv in my living room with the 65 inch model as well. This review is for two of these TVs so I am able to look at the QA and consistency as well. TCL has raised the stakes and outdone other TV titans. I originally bought a 70 inch Black Friday Samsung and was unimpressed by the picture, massive flashlighting and clouding provided by a edge lighting TV. The QLED quality of colors and clarity and full array lighting and local dimming features that provide great contrast and blacks on this TV are great. The comparisons between the 5 and 6 series are pretty close. If you have the the money the 6 is probably worth paying for but you are still in the budget and mid range quality for TVs so you may want to go for OLED at that point. There are only two small cons I’ve had with both TVs. The soap opera effect and judder has its moments but it is improved when enabling LED motion and high motion in settings. The HDR brightness is lack luster and the TV performs much better in dark environments then light environments. This works out well for me as I prefer to watch in the dark. Overall incredibly impressed with this TV.

Enjoying so far
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am happy with this purchase made almost one month ago. Of course, I'd love to have a plasma tv, but given the much higher price for plasma, this is a very good upgrade from what I had before. It's got awesome brightness and clarity and the sound is good. It's easy to use and I like being able to use the roku app on my phone for the remote features.

nice picture
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.so far, so good. Bought a Vizio P55 that was garbage from day 1 a year ago (thankfully bought the extended warranty). The disaster area of a 3rd party repair person made the problem worse and left me with no tv for three weeks! BestBuy customer service was outstanding and this well-known issue has been a nightmare for them and they promptly made good on replacing the Tv. I was hesitant since TCL is somewhat new to the game and I've never had one. Got one for a friend and it was kinda hokey to setup. This one wasnt much better. But being technical, i got through it fine. Was not as easy to setup as the Vizio. But i upgraded to a QLED and am really impressed with the picture. Havent tweaked many of the settings or felt the need to. Read a ton of reviews about the remote being wonky (it is) but i bought a universal that works just fine. like the adjustable stand, though didn't end up working out for us, but easy enough to put on better single stand. Responsive tv, a little slow when first turning on, but not bad. gave 4 stars for picture and for best buy.

Really good tv for great price.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was a little skeptical at first but after watching this tv for a month, I can’t justify paying more than twice the amount to go with a kid familiar brand. The picture is amazing and it works great in our bright room with many windows. The roku platform makes is super easy to navigate.

65" 5 series is very nice...
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bought this as a graduation and house warming gift for my son. Its pair up w/ a pair of wireless Roku speakers, and a Roku wireless sub (the big one). 5 Series does a pretty good job w/ the 65" screen. 6 series would do an even better job though. All in all, its been a great TV.

Good buy
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent TV! Nice sound (better than my other TCL), good picture, and easy to mount. Love that it’s the Roku platform since I formerly had the stream stick. Color and clarity are good. Excellent value for the price!

Beautiful TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a beautiful TV for the price. I bought 2 TV's this one being the least expensive and I think it looks just as good and it is easier to use. The remote doesn't have a zillion buttons. The only downside to it is it doesn't have a web browser.

We love TCL Roku TVs!
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love TCL Roku TVs, they have a good picture quality, good sound and they don't break the bank. The Roku interface is good and responsive. We got this one to replace a TCL Roku 55" Class 4 Series and dot not regret the upgrade.

Highly Recommend
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV just destroys my old three year old 55” Insignia Fire TV! The only downside is that I used to listen to movies and music on headphones after the kids went to sleep and this TV won’t let you hookup Bluetooth headphones without adding an external receiver/transmitter dongle. Most people might not care but I loved having easy-to-use Bluetooth built in. I’d take off 1/2 star if I could but I wasn’t downgrading it to 4* so I left it at 5*. The brightness and motion handling on this makes my Fire TV look like garbage. No ghosting or trailing in sports and I can see all but the darkest scenes on daytime in a VERY bright room. Recommended.

Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great upgrade from an old LCD HDTV. I bought the display model and was given a great price at the time, but the current retail price is even better. Great picture and excellent value.

Review
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality and value is excellent. TCL has GREATLY improved the industrial design of the bezel and stand for this model year. This TV is very close in quality to the Samsung Q70R from last year for $300 less. This TV hits the sweet spot on quality/price/size. This is your next sub-$1000 living room TV. Only reason to spend more is to go bigger or go OLED.

Great Mid Tier QLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this TV! I went from a 43" LG to this and have to say I'm glad I made the purchase. Largest TV I had ever owned prior was a 55" Vizio. Personally, I don't really care if the picture is perfect, because I mainly watch TV shows my daughters are into. I do game on this TV and the clarity is exceptional. And when I do watch an occasional sporting event the colors really pop as well. I was able to use my 10% birthday discount, so I feel I got a bargain on this TV. I think the TV is definitely worth the money spent and if you're looking for a great mid tier QLED this is the one for you.

Best bang for you money!
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Was a little hesitant to purchase a 2020 5 series over a 2020 6 Series LCD. I have a 65’ 2018 6 Series that I loved, so I was thinking of getting another one for the downstairs family room to replace to older TV down there. But BestBuy had this one on sale for Black Friday and the price to too good to pass on. Even though this a 2020 5 Series LCD, it is definitely an upgrade from the 2018 6 Series we have upstairs. For the money this is far superior to anything in it’s price range. I was also thinking of getting the similar Vizio LCD, but the Roku smart TV interface is far superior.

Awesome TV for the Price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love just about everything about this tv. The included Roku interface is really easy to use, and the image quality is great. The only thing that bothers me, but not quite enough to go through the hassle of returning it, is the corners are noticeably dark. Primarily when viewing a lighter solid color across the screen (like the Apple TV menu). There are also faint dark lines along the edges, probably the gap between the edge lighting and the back panel lighting. I decided to do my best to ignore these things, since they’re not visible during most movies or shows, and I love everything else about the tv.
