Excellent picture!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very nice picture quality, response rate, and contrast. I wanted a 6-series but opted to save the money and bought the 5. Only difference I found was the 6 had more contrast levels but honestly I'm impressed with the picture of the 5. The Roku interface is a bit annoying being the tv operating system but it works. 4k looks crisp (usually Netflix or a few sports are broadcast in it) and I've noticed even standard HD channels look better. I got the 65" and I was pleased that they offer two locations for the stand to attach. I had to use the narrower placement to fit on the furniture I have. It works well with my Samsung sound bar (connected through HDMI eARC). Coming from Samsung TVs I was leary of trying TCL but the cost and ratings made me give it a go. Very happy with the TV. I even replaced my smaller Samsung with a TCL 4-series which is pretty good for the price.

Great TV, a few annoyances
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrific, mid-level 4K television with QLED pixel technology from TCL, a growing brand in electronics. Excellent quality in an affordable unit. There are some drawbacks, however. It was our first Roku TV and it was a challenge to set up. It took hours. It has a power light at the front of the viewing screen which is lit when the TV is turned off. When the TV is in the bedroom, it's going to transmit a low amount of light into the room when people are trying to sleep. We can't understand why the designers did that. We put rolled up socks in front of the light to reduce the brightness.

Great color! Roku is the best!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've been waiting for the right time to get a tv and the price was unbeatable for a QLED. The color is amazing and I have no regrets passing up on the bigger tv I was eyeing. The Roku platform is easy and convenient. TCL just makes great tvs!

65" TCL
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Easy to setup. Better than my 55" TCL 4 - Series. Paired with a TCL Soundbar ~ seems the voicing is slightly off with the soundbar at times (could be a streaming app problem, haven't investigated it too far.... seems very close to being spot on though).

Clear, Crisp Picture
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV is perfect for us. I looked and debated getting a more expensive TV. I'm not a picture guru and usually go with brand recommendation for set up. The TCL picture is clear and crisp. The set up is easy. The price is right. Perfect TV for me.

So far so good
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far I'm pleasantly surprised. I purchased this TV about three weeks ago, and it was delivered, and set up by 2 guys from the Geek squad. I'm happy with it. Now that I've had it for a short time it seems that 65" isn't really that big, but seems normal now. The sound comes through my Vizio 2.1 sound bar, and subwoofer which is great. I use it for streaming video from the internet. Despite my slow internet download speed of 3.0-3.5mbps it does surprising well most of the time, but I intend to get faster internet in the future ranging from 50-100mbps download speeds which should really make a difference. Then I can really see what this set is really capable of doing. To play it safe I purchased the 3 year extended warranty. Hopefully I won't have to use it. Well that's about it for now.

Excellent value, remote is highly disappointing
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall I've been very happy with the purchase. The picture is crisp, it is bright (I had seen some reviews that said it didn't get bright enough, but for my basement with limited sunlight I have no issues), and I like the Roku interface. It was very easy to set up additional inputs. I have two complaints: 1. The remote that came with this TV is EXTREMELY cheap feeling and flimsy and the buttons are harder to navigate without looking than a normal Roku remote. I'm blown away that they did not provide a remote that has a better build quality. 2. Changing the TV's picture settings is not very intuitive. I searched and searched through the main menu to find it, but it turns out you can only change the picture setting while you are in an application like Netflix, and you have to know to press the correct button (I think it's the star button).

Great TV for the money.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have always been a fan of the Roku when it first came out. Decided to give the TV a try. I am very happy with my decision to purchase the TCL Roku TV. I actually liked it so much that I purchased another one for my son's room.

Love this TV & won't blow your budget
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We upgraded from a 55" TCL LED to this 65" QLED. A very noticeable difference in image quality. It gave us the "Wow" factor. Remote is pretty much the same as our previous model, so that helps. Great quality at a modest cost.

Yes, I'd buy another if my wife was cool
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did a 4 just because we haven't had the TV very long, it's the Roku version and not the android, but so far it's the best picture quality I've experienced. I know there's better, but I'm not in the payroll bracket of those TVs. Even if I was, I'd still go with a TV that's not worth a nice used car. I basically rambled, but if you're trying to save some money and get good quality, this TV is very much worth it. If you're in the payroll bracket that can afford a 3,000 dollar TV and not even break the bank, please send me half of what you save from buying this TV, you'll be happy with both choices. Thank you TCL.

If the holidays were a month early...
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Takes a while to get set up, Roku is cool like and updates and all. Super brights can bleed, blacks are solid if you calibrate correctly. Motion is okay, but sources aren't all 4k. No blooming, slight banding on certain colors. TV is plenty bright enough for HDR and indirect sunlight, but lacks the top end color beauty of $1400 tvs. Only thing I can say so far is that, I am happy I didn't spend more for a TV outside of OLED. My screen is great for $630. Calibrate your tv. Look at forums or sites like avs or rt.

I LOVE THIS TV!!!
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is my 2nd 65 inch TCL. The first died due to an accidental barstool crashing into the screen. By far for the money this TV is AWESOME! The wifi is responsive enough that you really don't need to use the wired network cable, although I prefer a wired connections over wifi any day. Picture quality is great. Software JUST WORKS I have the ROKU version. Very pleased. I use the eARC HDMI port with a Yamaha 5.1 surround system so I don't not use the onboard TV speakers. The Roku remote controls the headunit and TV just fine. I now have a 1 remote household. Nothing more to say. It's great.

TCL = Great Value
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Our TCL 65in 5 series has been a great and easy to use TV. The Roku built in is a favorite in my house and it has a nice picture. I would like the menus to transition a little faster but overall it's pretty good.

Great buy
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade my flat screen tv of 11 years a 42 inch Vizio. I was looking onthe site and I came across the TCL 65 inch QLED 4K TV. For the price and it is a QLED, I couldn't pass it up.

Solid Value, room for improvement
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.quick set up, reasonable adjustment capability, very good 4K display with normal paced motion, 1080 up scaling very good, lower resolutions average upscale. Faster scenes tend to cause a hiccup in display. Roku built in features added plus, work as expected. Only minor issues on the tv I can look past because of value price, whites tend to crush in regular scenes, and bloom/halo against back background. There seems to be a framing effect on the edges where there is a yellowish hue, mainly seen in white screens or bright blue scenes, cannot be adjusted away and is a known issue, but you have to dig to see it’s known and I didn’t find out until after purchased. As a secondary tv, I can live with this, main display I might not.

TCL offers quality and value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TCL provides a great looking picture. Set up was easy and convenient with the Roku platform. This is my second TCL (kept the 55" and put it in the "man cave"), and I'd recommend the brand to anyone.
