Im a big tv nerd - Ive owned 6 OLEDs now and have basically only used OLEDs since 2016. I wanted to get something that was bright for our living room, which has a lot of natural sunlight, without spending well over $1,500.00 for one of the more powerfully lit OLEDs. Is a Samsung S95c a better TV? Absolutely - but this thing is surprisingly great at getting those deep, inky blacks you typically see in OLEDs while maintaining brightness to support a room with lots of natural light. The picture can degrade pretty significantly at an angle, so if your setup has a commonly used seat off the the side of the tv I would say you should keep looking, but this is a really great value and impressive color and contrast youd expect to see at around the $1,300 price-range. Great work from TCL!

Selected this tv based on reviews of best 65in tv's under $1000. That's risky as a better way is to go see what you like to view sports, movies, gaming, etc displayed on a tv and determine which one looks best to your eyes. With that said this tv has lived up to expectation so far. Bright, viewable from just about any angle, and the clarity is so good it made me realize that Hulu does not broadcast anything in 4K...so purchasing this TV may lead me to changing my streaming choice. YouTube for example has many trailer examples you can stream in 4k and the screen is amazing! My setup is wall mounted with soundbar underneath and surround sound wirelessly connected through the soundbar. My first time to use the ARC connection through HDMI and it works great. Everything controlled through the TV remote and even if you pick up the sound system remote to adjust volume the TV recognizes the change and will display the change on screen. So far, a great TV choice for me! Using Roku for first time after only apple tv and fire tv previously. Roku is the same if not better than fire tv as aps seem to load quicker when you add them. I have not connected apple tv to this one mainly because I am satisfied with the built in roku and use of just one remote.

The tv has great color, and good contrast. It’s a very good tv for gaming.

Great TV and extremely happy. It’s a nice upgrade from the Samsung Series 7. First, I bought the R646, but ended up exchanging for the R655. The R646 was too bulky and heavy for my liking. I was afraid to wall mount it. So, I returned the TV since I did not want to take any chances. Don’t get me wrong, the R646 was an amazing TV as well, and a good sound system. I’m an xbox series x owner and constantly playing call of duty, battlefield and knockout city. All these games make the graphics look fresh including with Dolby vision. Note: Make sure you get a 2.1 HDMI Cable. Don’t pay attention to the sound ratings on Rtratings site. The sound is still great even though for being partially hearing impaired.

I upgraded my 625 to this new model 655 primarily due to the micro LED lighting system. I can say that I've been extremely happy with TCL overall. After doing extensive reading I started out with a 55-in 6 series and within a year purchased the 625. Every time I've upgraded I've been completely satisfied. It should be noted that I am a fan of the Roku system and have been using it long before TCL had it built into their TVs. I've worked in audio video for years and have a very good idea of how to properly adjust the television for those who don't there are some excellent YouTube videos on where the setting should be set on this television for the absolute best picture. I really have no comments on the sound quality due to the fact that the whole thing is running through a DolbyAtmos system. The one upgrade I made was I replaced the stand. I needed a little more room under the television then the provided stand wood give me. The final decision to do the upgrade was when I found out that the six series was going to be dropped from the TCL line. I have not seen the new sets yet but the best TV under $1,000 category I'm afraid is going to be going away. I'm extremely happy with my purchase and would recommend the TCL6 series to anyone considering a new television set at this time under that $1,000 budget point.

I’ve been looking at the TCL six series for a long time now, and I wanted to upgrade the TV in our master bedroom. I’m glad I went with the TCL six series. This is a gorgeous TV. Picture quality Fantastic. Set up was a breeze as usual with the TCL TVs. TCL six series picture quality definitely was an improvement over the four series that I’ve previously owned. Brightness is incredible and several picture modes allow you to soften and warm up the picture more if you desire. One negative thing is the audio is terrible. But I got a Roku soundbar pro and subwoofer which dramatically improve the sound. Overall hard to beat this TV at the price range.

This TV has exceeded my expectations in every way. All the picture quality of higher end TVs with the simplicity of the Roku platform.

While I did need to make some minor color adjustments initially, it was a quick and easy process. I really like the Roku TV OS and the simple remote. But the main reason I got it over the Hisense U8H is because of the HDMI port layout - it has 2 2.1 ports and a separate eARC port, meaning I can use an Xbox series x and a PS5 and an eARC sound bar. Now we just need more games to play at 120 fps!

Pros: great picture and good sound. Cons: weighs 65 lbs and is thicker than most 65" TVs.

Very impressed with the quality of the TCL 6 Series! The Roku remotes are very easy to use in the set up was very simple! I purchased four of these for a new home. I would say the only negative would be the volume buttons on the side of the Roku remote. We hit them by accident quite often.:-(

Outstanding TV for the price. That’s coming from someone who had a LG OLED before, mini LED’s bring outstanding picture. Was on the edge about this purchase but super glad I did. Highest rated television of 2022

A Very Bright TV and extremely quick, I had a 2018 Vizio that took forever to boot up, I use it mainly for gaming and the 4K 120hz VRR works perfectly,

I really wanted to like this TV. It had a lot of features for the price. 144hz, VRR, low latency, all the HDR modes, bright and vibrant display. But unfortunately, the set I received was plagued with a flashing vertical black bar near the left side of the display. This was happening even during setup. I tried everything in the book to try and fix this but ultimately ended up returning the TV for something else. This TV has so much potential but I wish TCL TVs were more consistent with their quality control as this is the second TCL I have tried over the years and ended up returning due to a defect.
