This tv is beautiful. I upgraded from a tcl 55" which is also a great tv but the picture on the the 65" is noticably better. Really bright. Blacks are really black. Very happy with the purchase.

Seems to live up to the hype - best value for the viewing experience. Easy to install and set up. Picture is endlessly deep and detailed. Other brand's TVs with these features cost much more. Great value, beautiful picture!

I spent way too much time researching televisions during Fall 2020 and into Spring 2021. Working with a limited budget, I wanted to get the best quality for my money. We really like the Roku platform and TCL seemed to be the leading brand in this area. The TCL 6-series 65" 65R635 was the one I wanted after reading many excellent reviews from CNET, Wired, and others, but my budget didn't quite accommodate it. Because of my budget, I ended up purchasing the TCL 5 series 65" 65S535, which also had very respectable reviews and the features I needed. Unfortunately, I didn't win the panel lottery and got a faulty unit. Best Buy was amazing and replaced my tv with another of the same model. Again, I lost the panel lottery and got another faulty unit. Best Buy was awesome and replaced that one as well. Surely number three would be the winner, but alas it was faulty as well; I couldn't believe it. Best Buy stepped again and took care of me. They were very considerate throughout this process, apologetic, and wanted to make things right for my family. I was amazed at the service I received. It wasn't their fault they had been shipped faulty units. In the end, I decided that the TCL 5 series was not the choice for me and I was going to have to step up to the 6 series to get what I wanted and could depend on for my money. I ended up finding an open-box TCL 6 series 65" 65S535 in my store which surprised me as I hadn't seen many returned. The setup process was easy considering I was a Pro now after having set up 3 previous 5 series TCL Roku tvs :) The issues I had with the 5 series were no where to be found. By this point, I was being very critical of the picture quality to ensure this wasn't faulty as well. My previous 5 series all had a 'picture frame like' dirty screen effect all around the tv about 2 inches inside the outer border. The 6 series had none of this. The 6 series has an excellent picture quality with amazing color out of the box. I tried adjusting the color settings, but found the out-of-the-box settings were just great for me. The audio quality is pretty good considering it's coming from fairly small tv speakers and I use the tv speakers most of the time; pretty easy to route the audio to a home theater receiver as well for more of a home theater experience. Easy to add other inputs like receiver, Blu-Ray, Wii, etc. and the interface allows some customization and renaming options. Some reviews of the 6 series mentioned various problems, none of which were present in this unit. One has to understand there will always be variance in the manufacturing and shipping processes which can impact the quality of a given unit. Very pleased with our 6 series and have yet to find any issues. The Roku interface is great, flexible, and easy to use without buying an external Roku box. The Roku app is handy as well, especially if you want to watch tv with your headphones to allow others to study, sleep, etc. Highly recommended. While I was disappointed the 5 series didn't work out for me (some have had amazingly good experiences with the 5 series) I am super pleased with the 6 series and blown away by how well Best Buy treated our family! I'm not old, but I'm old enough to have experienced many levels of customer service from various companies. My Best Buy tv buying experience shared here, is probably the best customer service I've encountered in my life. I won't hesitate to tell my friends I was treated like I mattered and that Best Buy cared about my purchase and satisfaction. To the Best Buy team member that worked with me during this process (they'll know who I'm talking about if they read this review) thank you so much for your help and thoughtfulness. You've made quite the impression on me and my perceptions of what is possible from a company. Well done. Best Buy is lucky to have an employee like you.

For the price, I consider this a good TV. We’ve put ours in a room that gets very bright during long periods of the day. Most video looks great. Good colors. Good saturation. This TV’s ability to show HDR/Dolby content is weak, though. I’ve tried numerous video sources, including an Apple TV, Amazon Fire 4k, and even the TV’s Roku channels. HDR content consistently looks drab. Colors get lost because the TV seems to bias the brightest area of each shot too much. Everything else on screen looks dim and grey. For example, films like Eternals and Dune - each with beautiful lighting and costumes - look drab. I’ve switched to only using 4k SDR content and the result has been very satisfying. Pictures are lovely and detailed. If you want really good HDR playback, keep looking. If you want a TV that holds up well to a bright room, with good color, at a good price, try this one.

      Hi Daniel,

Thank you for taking the time to provide your feedback. There are options available to adjust the settings to better fit your personal preference. You can access the Options menu on the TV by pressing the asterisk (*) button on your remote while watching content. Additionally, you can access expert picture settings by downloading the free Roku mobile app on a smartphone or tablet. The Roku mobile app works as a remote and allows you to access additional features like voice search, private listening, expert picture settings, and more. If you need any further assistance, please reach out to us at [email protected] with your contact information and a description of what you need help with. Enjoy!

    Good TV with odd banding?

Good TV with odd banding, polarizing, dirty screen or whatever you want to call it. Keeping it as its only noticeable viewing from left of TV. Besides I am tired of trying to get a good TV this is my 4th try first one was Hisense H9 From Walmart came FedEx it was a obvious Return and had a 1 inch deep scratch in the screen no wrap whatsoever on screen and no straps around box. So I returned and re-ordered next one on day 2 wouldn't turn on. So last try on Walmart I bought a Scepter it had sound problems it would stop no sound 3 times a day causing me to turn on and off to get sound tin can sound like worse than a AM radio even with a sound bar sound kept shutting off back it went NO more Walmart. First try Best Buy TV on the wall working Ive lowered my expectations and its all good now. TCLR635 is heavy to hang a bit thick but its copper brushed bezel is solid feeling and good looking. The performance -motion compensation-contrast-color-sound all good on this TV. This is my second direct LED full array TV I have a 3 yr old 55 inch Avera with almost all the same specs and features it does have a perfect panel so I know it can be done. It seems after my ordeal quality is not a consideration in the manufacturing process anymore.

The TCL-65 inch Class 6 4k Mini-LED QLED is simply great! The picture is amazing. My wife and I like to watch shows from the '50s and it upgrades the picture quality where we see detail that we've never seen before with crystal clear vibrancy. Roku makes it all the better with the free shows on the Roku channel. Some may have had issues with the remote. I love the simplicity of the remote, but after I downloaded the update, the remote was super laggy. However I "paired" it again and it solved the problem instantly. I have no complaints. It makes HD TV and movies look like 4K. Football games are vivid. It is simply great!

It's a TV, it works and looks great. Heavier than you would think, and definitely needs three people if you are going to attach it to a wall mount. I can't seem to get it to default to an HDMI input instead of it's home screen, so not as useful if you are using it with a fire stick (granted you don't really need one with this TV)

I love this tv for the price. I don't know if there's a better option at this price point. Beautiful picture quality and seamless Roku experience. However there's severe blooming on these tvs . It's worse than it looks in video reviews. however, for what I got this the for, I don't mind it too much. The pros outweigh the cons.

We own the 55" (55R635) and 65" (65R635) variations of this TV; I posted the same review for both. They perform quite similarly as you probably know. We are very happy with both sets; they are an excellent value. Rather than delve into general pros/cons (which can be gathered that from other reviews) i'll simply point out notable differences. - the 55" does better with 1080i/1080p upscaling which is somewhat expected given the same number pixels need to be distributed over a larger area. I'd rate the small set excellent; the larger very good. - the 65" is a bit better with 4K HDR in high contrast scenerios which may be a result of more local dimming zones. Neither set matches OLED but the effect is still satisfying. - audio from the smaller set seems better. We ended up grabbing a TCL 6+ sound bar for the bigger set is it sounded a bit hollow with the built-in speakers. Not both were originally in our primary viewing area and we switched between the two sets before moving the smaller set to a different room. - overall I prefer the smaller set, primarily because 90% of the content is upscaled. Over time that will change but that's the reality of today.

I upgraded from a 7 yr old 60 inch HD TV. Wow, the picture is great and didn't know what I was missing. Movies and sports look great. Good price for all the features, especially the full array back lighting. Easily connected to visio sound bar I also purchased. The roku interface is so easy. We had a roku attached to the prior tv.

My other tv is a LG 65" B8 OLED. I'm giving this 5 stars because i did alot of research looking for a best value. For the price and quality this looks as good or better than most or all non OLED tvs. I had no problems with wifi like i read in one review and have it hardwired along with my xbox now anyways. The picture settings i tinkered with for awhile and am very happy with it overall. It's easy to use and looks great picture wise and just the tv itself looks quality. I'm very picky with how things look and wasnt sure about TCL because i always thought of that as a budget crappy walmart tv. The 6 series is not that.

Love this TV - fantastic picture quality, and easy to use Roku interface. I originally bought the 65S535 - the lower priced model - and returned it - the picture clarity was poor and colors were not good. I spent the extra $250 on this one - the 65R635 - and it was totally worth it. Great colors, and a bright and incredibly sharp picture. I am loving this TV... And for those who are trying to decide between the 65R535 and the lower priced 65S535 - this higher-end model is more than worth the extra cost.

I got this tv delivered and 4 days later the remote stopped working. Changed batteries and it still didnt work. I reset the tv and tried all over again and nothing. I called TCL and they are sending a replacement remote. Other then that the tv has great sound and picture. So hopefully this new remote will work.

The built-in Roku is nice for those that only have Nexfix, Prime, etc. for their TV. If you're a bit older and use Cable TV you probably won't like this -- the Cable TV remove for the country's largest cable provider doesn't have a setting for TCL. There is a setting that's close and works mostly but it's not seamless. Once on Power On, it got stuck on the Start-up screen and had to be physically unplugged from wall power to restart it. Connection to a Sound Bar requires HDMI ARC as there is no simple "audio out" connection A lot of little things like this. If you are a child of the 2000's this will be second nature to you and things will be fine. If you belong to the 70's 80's or 90's get a Visio and get 95% of the quality with zero shortcomings. I'm keeping mine - but if I had known I would never have purchased.

TV is great so far. Really like the picture & the price point. Only docked one star because the remote doesn't work well - only every third button-press or so actually works as expected, which can be pretty frustrating. Luckily I use a Harmony remote (RIP), which works great with the TV.

TV has out performed my expectations the Roku works great with our google and we can watch our Apple TV plus through the Roku. Picture quality is excellent, have had the tv for 3 months now not a problem. The only complaint I have is with the remote you can’t put in a channel number to go to a station but we got the voice remote and with google we can tell it to go to a certain channel so I guess you really don’t need it, it makes the remote simple for everyone to use it. Definitely would recommend the 6 series
