Many customers rave about the superb 4K HDR picture quality and find that it offers great value for the price. The Roku OS is also widely praised for its user-friendly interface and rich HDR content. Super picture
||Posted . Owned for 6 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this via an unadvertised sale and what a surprise. Great picture. 4K HDR rocks on it. Only quirk i found is that the mount holes are kind of low on the set. I had to drill a couple extra holes in my flush tilt mount to get it properly positioned.

What a bargain
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a fantastic TV. Responsive, beautiful picture, at an amazing price. While I'm sure I could find a slightly better picture, it would also easily cost at least 2x more, if not 3x+. The Roku system is perfect for me as a streaming only household, would definitely recommend to anyone.

The Beauty overcomes the Beast
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The absolute beauty of this TV will help you as with me, overcome any beastly attributes it may have. What do I mean about the beastly attributes? This TCL has been notorious for “dirty screen effect,” and other noticeable negatives, such as distorted panels. This has led to the term “panel lottery.” The term means your lucky if you get the TV without these effects. Take all that seriously but consider it as an “led” problem as much as a TCL issue. All LED & even OLED TV’s have this issue to some degree. My TCL has some dirty screen effect but not enough to return it or to not love the TV. The Beauty does overcome the beast. I’m sure some needed to return their TV but with everyday viewing, movies and even sports, the TV is exceptional. So, unless you watch “Hockey” every evening you will probably never notice the slight defects. The Beauty of the HDR and Dolby Vision, along with the 4K brilliance, will help overcome any of the “LED” issues..

Quality budget TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The TCL 65 R615 is a great set for the price. Overall I think the quality is excellent, and the extra color control features available via app are a nice customization touch (my wife and I felt their standard color controls to be inadequate to get the saturation levels of red colors correct, but the app's controls did the trick. The motion clarity definitely smooths things out but I turn that feature off, since it makes most movies and quality TV shows (which are shot in 24fps) look too smooth and unnatural. Dolby vision and HDR look nice on what few platforms have it available. Hopefully more will be around in the future. The main downside of this TV - for me - is a slight dirty screen effect, which is mostly noticeable when watching hockey (wide panning shots on a light background). It definitely bugged me the first game I watched but then I noticed it less and less.

Great picture for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great picture for the price, which was as low as $799 on Cyber Monday. Fast and easy to navigate Roku screens especially comparing to Vizio d- series clunky smart package. The side by side picture much better than D series too. I just wish it came in a 70 inch size.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I know why this was CNET's Editor's Choice in 2018. It has a great picture. Color, brightness, contrast are all excellent especially in it's price range. And I've experienced no blur or pixilation in fast moving scenes. My opinion, it's a bargain and I highly recommend it.

Simply awesome
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best bang for your buck. The picture is great. HDR is not as bright as I’d like, but it’s more than acceptable. Black levels are great as well, nowhere near OLED, but that’s not expected either. Built in Roku is an added perk even though some would disagree. I highly recommend this TV.

Good picture, good features. Good value.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good picture quality, and with HD and 4K content it looks very good. Takes a bit of tinkering to get the picture quality to be outstanding, particularly with darker scenes, but the level of control you can exert is quite high. Just takes a little patience. A very wide range of scenes look just great - sports, movies in dark room, brightly lit cartoons, etc. Managing the tv features through the menus is simple, and although not intuitive, quick to get used to. Roku features are amazing. (How did we ever live without them??) Haven't tried the Roku phone app yet. My only nitpick is that the attachment points for the VERA wall mount are located on the lower portion of the device and due to its size, the tv wants to flop forward when hung on a full-motion mount. They should have centered the anchor points on the middle of the tv so it would be better balanced.

Amazing bargain with a couple compromises
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Stunning picture, Roku is the best streaming platform out there. Slight dirty screen effect on bright motion scenes, but not a deal breaker. The remote leaves a lot to be desired, bummer the Best Buy model doesn’t include the RF remote the other TCL sets have.

Great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price the quality is very nice. Very little DSE & no VB in my set. Have had it for a week... So far so good. Sound is very decent although I did add a sound bar for extra bass, one could do w out & be fine. HDR is handled well w this model. Great bedroom TV.

Almost all good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture and performance good as advertised. The remote is not easy for me, a right-handed person, to use. I often press buttons on the right side of the remote with my middle finger when trying to press buttons on face with my index finger.

Great for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great unit for the money. Picture is great for the price and Roku interface is simple to learn / use. Only down side is the remote. It works - but looks more like something for a Roku box v TV.

Great tv and great value
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv looks amazing. Can’t beat the value when most comparable TVs are hundreds of dollars more. My only issue is the remote sucks. You literally have to be a sniper with the aim for it to work. I just bought the enhanced remote from Roku for $20.

Best bang for your buck!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Quite possibly the best bang for your buck! For under $1k this TV I believe has it all. 4k Hdr Dolby Vision Roku TV. I think it has it all. Is it as good as Samsung Qled or LG OLED? No. But it's also way cheaper! Good enough for most people!

Solid TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love the bigger screen! Good picture quality. We use a sound bar mainly because we already had one so can’t really comment on the sound. Easy to set up. Only downside is that words on the edge can be cut off....like when watching sports or news.

4 1/2 stars
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this tv because my wife didn’t like having to use a switch to change from dvd to ruko to cable on our older tv. The on screen main menu makes it very easy to change from video sources. And the built In roku makes it one less device to switch to and cable you need. The picture is great. Can’t believe the difference from my plasma. The colors are much more vivid and the picture gives you the feeling of depth. I wish the speakers where in the front to help with soft sounds of people talking. The only thing I don’t like is the remote control. You have to have direct line of sight to the power button. At 15 feet away I sometimes have troubles with the remote working. I have a dishnetwork 54 learning remote that works a lot better than the original remote. This is our 3rd TCL tv and it’s the only one that has this remote control problem.

Great TV
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My TCL has been installed and running now for 3 weeks & it looks great. I am running a soundbar so I can't comment on the speakers but the picture is spectacular. Vivid colors & immersive scenes.
