Excellent Picture and Performance for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you are on a budget and want the best picture quality then this is the TV to get. This is my first time using the Roku OS and I totally love it, is very fast and smooth. I did a lot of research on this TV set and was very concerned about the Banding and DSE, so I finally got the 65 inch and ran all test just to find out I got a wonderful set. It did show some vignette effect on the corners which was not a deal breaker as it was not noticeable during use but after a month of using the set the vignette effect is actually disappearing so this TV is just actually getting better. HDR is just great. Get this TV it is WONDERFUL.

Great value
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Lots to love about this tv. The picture is amazing. The Roku service is easy to use and there are some neat niche channels to view. It works with Amazon Prime, Netflix and our cable streaming service Xfinity. Wifi was easy to set up too. Be careful of the screws. We attached the feet while we waited for the wall install kit to be delivered. When I tried to take off the feet a screw stripped very badly and I had to use a special tool to extract it. The stripping of the screw could have been my fault and I think if I went slower or only used a manual screwdriver and not a powered drill I would have been ok. So watch for stripping the screws. Other than that I am over the moon with the tv. Great price, great picture, and great features. I would buy it again.

Fantastic Picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is stunning, vivid colors and great contrast. I also own a 55" LG OLED UHD, which in mho is arguably the best picture available. When looking for a 65" TV to use for large groups for football games and the sporting events in my basement I couldn't justify the cost of a larger version of my LG OLED, and after reading the many positive reviews of the TCL 65" Series 6 TV I decided to go for it. I couldn't be more pleased, and have received many compliments regarding the clarity and high end picture quality.

Very good TV, and not just for the price!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very good TV. TCL has some great low cost stuff and this TV is just great period. The local dimming it has is pretty responsive and works very well (we didn't even know it had that when we bought it). Having Roku is great as always, sound is what you expect from a TV like this, not super but very usable. Picture is pixel sharp and of very good quality. To get it slightly better you could pair it with an Apple TV 4K to get the absolute best picture out of it (they tend to make things just look better) but is mostly fine as is. I recommend this TV. However having to have a Roku account to use the TV at all is a bit annoying, but that is they way it goes these days I guess.

So Far, so good
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture is sharp and the colors are rich without over-saturation. Set up was incredibly simple. Wish my universal remote would have more control of the Roku interface, but all things considered, really happy.

Best TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After reviewing many TVs under $1000 and 65’ I bought this one and was not disappointed. Picture: The Dolby THX tests show off the jaw dropping quality of the 4K. On Netflix the quality depending on the input is just breathtaking. Sound: For a flat screen it is excellent. Don’t need a sound bar to be honest. Design: Beautiful brushed aluminium edging. Modern and impressive. Negatives: The red tone and skin colour on SD/HD input sources can be a little “off” pinkish or too vibrant if your looking for natural realistic viewing. This can be adjusted. - The Roku remote control has to be directly pointed toward the sensor, can be irritating when you have to press multiple times, it’s a little old school for 2019. Very happy

Great value!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great value to get a TV this size with all these features (dolby vision, local dimming etc). The Roku interface is easy to use and has pretty much every app that exists. Particularly like the ability to just choose an input from the home screen instead of having to hit input x number of times until your HDMI 2 comes up like my last tv. Only slight issue I noticed was sometimes has some slightly darker vertical spots but this only showed up against really bright backgrounds with motion (hockey game) and was still an enjoyable image.

Fantastic TV for the Price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I reviewed many TVs before selecting this one. It's the best bang for buck that you can find. It has all the features that you would need for a living room TV with Roku and plenty of HDMI inputs. The look and finish of the TV build is very sleek with a nice metal look. Netflix with Dolby Vision looks fantastic and the standard HDR settings for video games look great as well. There's plenty of video settings in general so you can find the perfect settings for your preference. The Roku software is great and has so many features that adds to the value. The only downside is that the stand arms are incredibly wide so I had to flip them inward to fit the TV on my entertainment center. It seems to work fine but makes the TV look funky.

TCL 6 series 65” Roku tv
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love my new TCL tv, it does not disappoint. I recently cut the cord, so one reason I bought this was for the integrated Roku. One simple remote lets me do it all. Adjust the tv settings, the HDMI input, my home theatre volume and power. I have my webcams DVR on 1 input, blu-ray on another, HD antenna on another. Dolby Digital output for the surround sound and a stunning picture. The only minus I can come up with is only minor- no analog RCA audio output. I need that for a legacy whole house wireless speaker system, so I did have to buy an optical to analog converter box to get it connected. But that was a cheap and easy fix so I can’t really say it really matters. All in all, this TCL is one heck of a great deal.

Great quality and HDR
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I pulled the trigger on this tv expecting to sacrifice quality for the price but I've been impressed with the image quality. 4K, HDR, and Roku is easy, convenient and intuitive.

Best picture for the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Ok I really want an OLED tv who doesn’t but hard to justify that much cash. My bedroom tv died so I put my 55” Vizio in bedroom and bought this for living room. When the OLEDs drop in price this will go in bedroom It’s not an OLED but you can buy this three times for the prices. As far as regular led tvs go this is the best picture in this price range hands down (CNET said the exact same thing). The built-in Roku is a bonus. I do wish it had more HDMI ports but the Roku means I don’t need one for firestick. I’d definitely recommend thisTV

Great TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased due to a recommendation at Best Buy vs another model. I was concerned that I would not like the Roku interface and the little remote, but I have come to appreciate it for it's simplicity. Overall the TV has a great picture - not perfect, but it also does not cost $2000+. I normally turn it down to the "dark mode" for evening viewing as "normal" or "bright" are a bit much for me at night, but are great during the day with the room well lit from outside. Roku has enough apps to keep you looking around for hours at the available free TV out there. I was also impressed that I could add a USB stick and get up to 90 minutes of antenna TV recorded as I watched. This allows you to watch an antenna channel and pause for up to 90 minutes - rewind etc. This "buffer" resets when you change the channel, but it is great if you are watching a show and miss something - just back it up a few seconds similar to a DVR. There is also a cable like channel guide for antenna stations. I am not a cord cutter, but would recommend this TV if you are thinking about it. I am not a gamer either, but my son hooked up his Playstation 4 Pro to the HDMI 3 ARC input. He wasn't impressed at first, but then we set it to "game mode" and he said it was great. He was very impressed at the response of this TV. This is coming from a 23 year old experienced gamer that built his own game PC with 4 monitors - two being high speed game monitors. I also noticed several additional Dolby dislplay modes using the Playstation 4 that are not available using my standard cable box. I can't speak much to the sound quality, but it does seem ok for normal show watching when I have tried it. I use the optical out going to a receiver on a 5.1 system. Be sure to go into the sound menu and select the proper sound setting for your surround system. I was not getting surround until I selected the proper setting. The phone app gives you a calibration tool if you want to do a detailed calibration of your screen. So far I am satisfied with the modes I am using, but it is available if you are a tweeker. I purchased when the unit was on sale for $699. Overall I am very satisfied with the value of this purchase.

Simply awesome TV!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've owned Samsung, Vizio, and now TCL - this is the best TV of them all. Picture quality is fabulous, sound is excellent, and the Roku system is well-laid-out, responsive/fast, and a breeze to navigate. The design of the TV is elegant and sharp. It would be extremely difficult to do any better at this price point - I would bet this set is probably as good as some of the $2,000+ competition out there. Very highly recommended!

Great Price for a pretty decent TV
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the size of the screen, love the ability to use phones as remotes, and best of all, I love being able to use our phones’ headphone jack to listen to the tv!!! This is huge with 2 little ones in the house. My ONLY real gripe is that the menu system needs work. Having a separate menu that can only be reached while a program is on, makes it cumbersome to adjust darkness and brightness. If the idea is that this doesn’t affect the menus’ brightness, that’s a pain. If I want it dark, I’d want everything dark. Other than that, we got it when it was at a pretty low price, so we got lots of bang for our buck.

Shocked by the picture
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Middle-aged regular guy here, I don’t leave many reviews anywhere. I tend to over research everything I buy, and TCL wasn’t on my radar. Recently purchased a new home and was attempting to save money by not buying another Samsung, I already have two, a 55” 3D 240 clear motion rate and a regular 42” 1080P LED. I went for the TCL because it was inexpensive and I didn’t want to get into it with the wife. When I started using it I was blown away by the 4K picture and easy to use Roku interface...I am very glad I didn’t go all out for the equivalent Samsung. I soon after bought a 32” TCL for another room and have it streaming Sunday Ticket and Amazon Prime with nothing but a power cable attached.

Seriously Impressed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’m seriously impressed with this TV. I was excited for the TCL Series 6 and ordered it as soon as it became available, and I’m happy to say I wasn’t disappointed. First, its design is fine. Brushed metal, very masculine. Even the power button has this cool white glow. I got rid of cable long ago, so having one of TCL’s Roku TVs makes everything really convenient. All my apps are easily within reach with the simple remote control. This is a very smart TV indeed that makes it quick to access anything I want, even different inputs. Of course the best thing about this TV is how it performs! It supports both Dolby Vision, and HDR movies and TV shows, and it looks amazing. Color and contrast is stunning!

Great budget friendly TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased mine when it was $800 (Regular $1000). This 65" TV is a huge step up from my basic 55" Insignia TV. RTING.com gave this TV a fantastic rating and is very well comparable to mid rated TVs that go for $400-$600 more. Due note that it will require calibration to get the best Color in both basic Standard Definition and HDR viewing. It is not hard, takes about 15min to do and you simple follow the RTING.com calibration instruction. Make sure you have a smartphone on you as it uses the Roku app to access the Advance color setting, but totally worth those 15min of getting those colors accurate.

Extremely capable TV that wont break the bank.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I recently upgraded my living room with this set and could not be more pleased. While making my determination of what was in my budget and seeing display units of other well known brands, i ended up purchasing this set without even seeing a display unit or having any familiarity the TCL brand. The price point was extremely luring with the specifications it possesed and i was amazed at how high this particular unit has been rated in many publications as well as the many positive reviews of previous purchasers on the Best Buy website and other sites. The Best Buy store I visited when I made my purchase did not have any TCL sets on display much less this 6 Series beauty. When I finally saw this thing in action at home, i was pleasantly surprised and enormously impressed with the picture quality and definition. The bright and vibrant colors this thing puts out just make the picture pop with excitement, easily holding its own and even outperforming other recognizable brands that are much higher in cost. Due to the specifications and capabilities it possesses, it should be very well positioned to handle advancing tech in picture quality of media and programming compared to other similarly priced sets which are becoming more and more obsolete. The Roku integration is superb and is very intuitive for anyone to use quite easily. It also has a very useful live TV pause function when using a high-def antenna to pick up OTA programming in your local area. The price was certainly the most attractive feature at first but now with all things considered, this is one of the most fantastic purchases i have made in quite a while and it has definitely superceeded my initial expectations!

Fantastic HDR experience
||Posted . Owned for 8 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pretty good value for what it does. HDR with local dimming, and supports Dolby Vision for supported content (like the built-in Netflix app) and Dolby Atmos output via ARC if you have a sound system that accepts it. Very bright, which works well for HDR even in a bright room. Great for gaming too (has a game mode which drastically improves response time), and my Xbox One X automatically switched the TV to game mode when I start a game. Does have some blooming around white-on-black however, like subtitles on a dark scene. But that's an acceptable compromise for a TV this cheap.
