never had roku. It's a good platform. Easy set up. Ample amount of input plugs.

We are in a relatively small condo . So for the past Several years we watched content on our devices or dragged out a HD projector and screen. This created to much friction to watch movies so now that TV's are so much better we decided to go for a TV. We had a buffet to put in on so we went for as big a set as we could. 4K UHD is amazing. This Set is awesome for watching TV, Playing DIsks or even a big ZOOM meeting.

I got it for a great price on sale for $1,000 brought it home set it up great picture month or so later started having problems with the speakers speaker started humming certain volumes had it replaced same thing happened again picture went crazy received a new TV just had it with speakers replaced again this week and so far so good great picture

It a great TV for the price I picked it up when it was 50% off it was definitely worth grabbing while it was on sale I wouldn’t recommend paying full price just because of the lack of menu screen because you have to download the mobile app to be able to tweak the picture settings. The Roku aspect of the tv is great you can always find something free to watch or download your favorite streaming apps too

The video quality really is a step above the class 6, and provides unbelievable contrast between dark and light. The dolby atmos support also is pretty amazing aswell if you have a compatible soundbar. My main issue is the flickering backlight in the menu and when using HDMI, in Roku streaming apps once it engages my custom settings the problem seems to minimize. But for hours of gaming or streaming Blu-ray it'll give you a headache. The flickering is not subtle and even with a hard reboot (which wiped the memory completely) there was no change to the flickering. This issue really makes me teeter between fair and poor. Also worth noting, and this is obviously it's a byproduct of all the features included, and unavoidable. But, this thing is a beast weight wise. The stand alone ways a ton, but the TV itself weighs at least 3 times my 55 inch 2014 1080p Samsung smart tv, so if you're mounting or even moving this TV you'll 100% want a second set of hands.

If I paid $2000 I would expect a bit more, but for $999 or $1399 it is great. I am very picky and I would say the processing for shadow detail and background could be a little better at times. With some adjustments out of the box (you can look up recommended settings) the picture improves quite a bit from the overly saturated too bright settings to start.

I must say, I am extremely surprised at the quality of the picture. Roku TV is responsive, picture quality is pretty darn good (have Samsung TVs throughout the house), and sounds is decent. My only downfall is that it seems to have random issues with my Velop, and I need to connect it to my primary router. Other than that, I highly recommend for the price. May buy another.

This wa my first TCL tv and it is the best tv that I have ever owned. The color is absolutely beautiful and took very little adjustment. Didn't really change any color setting. Had to change the HDMI settings to recognize the 2.0 HDMI. The Roku operating system is very easy to use. Getting the tv for $999 was a great deal. Highly recommend this to anyone looking for a high quality 4K tv.

Bought this at Best Buy for a fantastic price and even better than expected. The picture quality is great and especially like that it's a Roku TV with a center stand that was key for me since most other large TV's have legs at each end of the TV which would be too far apart to fit on my current stand. Overall, I am very pleased with this purchase; including the free delivery process!

Prior to the new 2020 TCL 6 series this tv would be my #1 recommendation. It’s a great tv, EVERYTHING looks better upon it, especially after you download the app and calibrate it. I’d say wait for the new 2020 8 series, see what the price drop of this model 8 will be and compare it to the cost of the 2020 6 series and pick which works best for you and your budget. Its a win/win

Its big and its bright. Like really bright. Wish the remote actually used the IR blaster beyond turning on the tv because its won't work with my sonos sound bar which was unexpected. the complete lack or IR repeater option was also a surprise so I'm stuck with the built in speakers unless want to invest in another solution down the road.

I would absolutely buy this TV over again. Definitely a great value when it was on sale for $999. Set up was easier than expected to get the best out of the picture quality and I love the Roku interface. At 1k or less, it's a must buy. I really can't think of any negatives. HDMI ARC works great with the sound bar. Video games, movies and sports all look excellent on this tv.

Very good picture and easy to use controls. Will watch a lot of sports on.
