1st Gen mini LED TV

This is going to be the new hot feature going forward for several of the other major companies. T c l was the first to do it. Also just in case you've not done any research on TCL t c l is a company that has been around for at least 15 or 20 years.

decent tv

Picture was perfect, colors were correct.... but then it happened. It developed a red line going straight down the middle of the screen. TCL would not allow geek squad to replace the part to fix it, so I returned it for a different tv.

Worst Experience Ever

Yes I thought it had a nice picture and the roku interface is nice. However I had this TV for about 4 months, and had two different issues with it. First the sound quality got really bad, and required a customer service call to find out it needed to be unplugged in order to fix it. Which was okay it is just a minor inconvenience. However the second issue that it had involved a popping sound and slight smell of smoke from the TV. Called their customer support number, and they sent a technician two weeks later with replacement parts. However it didn’t get fixed, and took two more weeks before they offered a refurbished model as a replacement. Needless to say I didn’t want a used/repaired TV that was previously sent back to them, and was described by their own customer support supervisor as “good condition”. This apparently was appalling to them because they were not very kind when I said I wanted a new TV not “good condition”. So the only option is a refund which will take another 2-3 weeks for me to receive. Basically after weeks of inconvenience I have no TV, and will never buy nor recommend another TCL product. If you decide to roll the dice I would recommend buying the replacement warranty through Best Buy. Don’t be like me and expect a company to produce quality products that should last a few years at minimum, and or be able to replace it if it breaks in the first year.

Simply can't be beat t the sales price

The sale price however was just too good to pass up. Can't wait to see what they come up with next year. I know what was promised at CES, just want to see it make the real world.
