Great picture, close to OLED

The apps in general are not as good as they are on other devices. Crashes on occasion and reboots itself. Best to use with external streaming device.

How important is HDR to you?

When they don't . . . not so good. Specifically, streaming in HDR. Daylight/outdoor scenes? Great. Indoor/night scenes? Meh is too kind. WAY too dark. I've fiddled with the settings based on other people's recommendations on the internet but it always comes back to too dark. I was watching Captain Marvel last night. At times, the movie was stunningly beautiful. Indoor scene near the end . . . hard to make out characters with darker skin. I reset to factory levels and pretty much the same problem. I'm going to keep it and hope for a software update that fixes this (I got a great labor day price). Otherwise I would probably return it. I will update later if warranted.
