    I purchased this TV because the promo was ending at midnight. I usually do a lot of reviewing before I make a purchase. The picture quality is poor and sometimes out of focus. I will give it some screen time and get it calibrated. I hope they come out with another update soon.

    Still trying to get picture dialed for sports, not happy with football or basketball yet, there has to be the right combination of settings I haven't found yet...It wants to be a great tv I just haven't gotten there yet.

    I had big hopes for this tv to replace my 12 year old 55 inch 3d LG smart tv (not a 4K obviously. I went for the 65" instead of the 55" as it just fit my table w/ the good center stand however it is way larger than I expected in fact too big for my 1 bedroom apt viewing it 8 feet away, then the quality of build is ok, you must be careful with it or you can seriously break your screen mine was handled by 2 people and had No issues setting it up. BUT.. the TV viewing quality was really disappointing to be honest I also went for the 65" as it was on sale for like $999 but the tracking and motion blur and poor upscaling looked like 8 bit rendering on Pixar films and even on R rated Action movies just aweful. If i had a place and viewed this 30 feet away maybe just maybe it wouldnt bother me but I also play PS4 and Nintendo switch games and even here there is no quality upgrade or reason to keep it compared to my 12 year old set even with al the setting options. Roku is OK if you don't mind commercials, better to stick with a Firestick overall or Apple TV even though Roku is easy n works well. I just couldn't justify keeping it and my 16 year old son agreed fully with this assessment. Gonna look at Sonys 4K options as it seems to have much better upscaling and better blacks too. Not a better interface but hell we all want a better picture and the Sony has it. There also was some poor flaring of light on the edges and some dull spots which didnt help for a QLED. Wouldn't recommend this TV but BEST BUY Guys did a great job delivering and picking up my return even with my elevator out on the 3rd floor so Tip the guys nice up and down if you return it like me..its hard work for such a large TV and expensive purchase. If only Best Buy could arrange RETURNS via website instead of waiting well over 1 hour on 2 days to speak to someone for the return this would Help a great deal. People are buzy and If I can buy it online I expect to arrange returns online so make this change Best Buy and you will have more customers - Thank you and hope it helps

    Brightness is not comparable to samsung

    I have replaced Samsung q7c with this one. On the paper TCL looks better, but in reality Samsung q7c is much better tv as far as brightness and picture quality goes

    I was so excited to get this TV. I have 4 other TCL TVs Series 6 and 5. I cut the cable so I use the TV for mostly streaming and OTA broadcast. I first started having issues with Prime. I noted that the Series 6 played streams in full HDR on issues; however, their Series 8 didn't stream HDR. I spent a few hours with Customer Care and about three weeks later they confirmed Prime HDR is not working but it was Prime’s fault. I am still waiting for resolution 3 months later. Recently the TV stopped playing audio and video when watching broadcast channels. This behavior was intermittent so it comes and goes. After another three hour round with customer card and factory resenting including setting up the tuner. I now have TV. But for how long? I have another hour or so to get everything working again. Unless you have a lot of time to waste, I would not purchase the TV.
