Incredible!, I have been watching old favorite tv shows and movies from the 70's, and they look HD brand new, very crisp and clear. My picture settings with Dolby Vision are: Picture mode - Bright, Local contrast - High, Dynamic contrast - Off, Color temperature - Normal, Action Smoothing - Medium, Action Clarity - Medium, and LED Motion Clarity - Off. Of course adjust to your liking, but to me, they look like they where produced today! Amazing! Watching stuff through, Apple TV, Amazon Prime, Netflix, and Play Station DVD.

Best Value TV I've Ever Had

I purchased 2 TV's in the same week, an LG OLED and this. The OLED was delivered about a week after the TCL got to the house. Nobody wanted to watch the OLED after a week with this TV. This has near perfect blacks and is much, much brighter making it appear to have more contrast than the OLED. The TCL gets smoked in every other stat but as far as just plain watching TV goes the TCL beats it out. Going to sell the OLED and pick up the 75 when on closeout. Never going to spend that much on a tv again.

The TV is stupendous! Granted, I upgraded from an HD plasma TV to the TCL 8 series so I made a quantum leap to 4K but the picture is gorgeous. The colors pop but not in a cartoonish way. Even regular HD television is fantastic - the television upscales very nicely. The Roku streaming is integrated nicely with the TV controls and is easy to use. I bought the TV on sale so I got a fantastic deal. I'm very happy with the purchase. Now I just hope the television holds up well with time. Nice job, TCL.

This set is pretty much premium quality. The original price was also premium price. After a lot of research and a substantial decrease in price, it finally made sense to buy it. Not disappointed and mostly happy. image quality is great, brightness, colors and even the speakers are good. Roku is very good and the technology is good. Again, it makes sense for the discount price, for the full price, a premium brand OLED would still be a better buy, but at half the price it is phenomenal.

We bought this tv open box. We were able to view the product before purchasing, however we were not able to have it turned on in the store. The associate who helped us, however, explained that if something was wrong with the tv when it was delivered, we would be able to return it for a full refund. This assurance helped us make our decision, and we are very excited we did. It is a great tv - great colors, great picture quality. We love it.

This is my first 4k tv. Bought based upon numerous positive reviews on sale for 50% off. Picture quality is very good and the internal speakers actually aren't bad (still need to by a sound bar). My only negative is the TV seems to have trouble keeping up with dark motions. Tried several different settings without succes. But its a minor annoyance that my family doesn't see so not really a big deal.

    Fantastic TV and Easy Setup

I bought this TV as an early birthday present to myself and neither I or my family have been disappointed. The picture quality is absolutely fantastic, with a variety of options. I used the IPQ app on our iPad, which tweaked it just enough to get it in a great spot. The 4K content in Disney+ or Netflix is just amazing as well. It tuned up the final battle in Endgame to an incredible level of realism! Setup was also a snap, especially the ARC functionality with my Sony receiver. The real star in this TV, though, is the Roku operating system. The simplicity and user experience is just incredible. Being able to download all of our streaming apps and access them with one click is so easy compared to having to switch between devices. The voice control is also easy to use and is super accurate. One other cool feature that I didn't know existed is, if you turn a movie on in the middle on your cable box, Roku will ask if you want to watch it from the beginning on an app. I haven't tested it yet, but it's one of those features you didn't know you wanted until you had it. Overall, I'm loving this TV so far. The simple operation of the Roku system combined with fantastic picture quality is a major win for TCL. I can't wait until sports returns so I can really test it out!

This is an unbelievable upgrade from my TCL 55" 6 series. I would recommend this TV to everyone. I have this in my family room, which is mainly windows and it works better in this bright room than I would have imagined. It gets even better after sunset. It's one of the brightest sets available and also has remarkable blacks as well. I am very fond of the stand and how sturdy it is. The whole set is very well made and it looks great.

Love the actual quality of the tv. The picture is a bit too saturated with colors that don't represent real life but it's so pretty that uppity don't mind it. It feels premium watching this high end TLC. The problem with the tv is that the remote is too easy to use. It's such a sad sad roku remote that feels so cheap and limited to an awesome tv.

I love the picture. I have not done calibration but the picture out of box is great already. The sound is better than I expected, given its small size. Not a fan of the stand, makes the position of a sound bar in front of the TV a little awkward. But it is not a big deal. I definitely love the Roku built in, makes navigation and streaming so much simpler and cleaner. Besides, I got it on sale. What more can I ask for?

the picture is great and get very bright. if your're a gamer consider not updating the software out of the box if you like oled blacks while gaming in game mode. tcl lifted the black levels in a recent update and now the leds no longer turn off in game mode with the setting set to high, i knew this before buying so i haven't updated as of yet. overall good tv and gaming is as smooth as my samsung qled

Had this for a little over a month and extremely please by its crispness, response, and colors. The Roku engine is extremely simple to use and fast. I like the setups and everything you can do for customization. I still need to dial in the color better but excellent TV. Only thing I could think of that would be a negative is I didn’t get the 75”. ;)

Sales person was very helpful with purchase. They ordered and was in store in 5 days. I picked up from store. Myself and neighbor removed TV from box and with ease now in bedroom. Easy to program. The colors on TV are superior then many other brands. The Roku feature is a plus, which I use on all my TV's. The price was a extra bonus. So far no issue since bought 1 month ago.

Upgraded from a 55 inch tcl series 6. The HDR and picture quality are major improvements over the 6 series. Mostly use it for gaming with my pc and it looks amazing. Only downside is no gsync/free sync, but since most games run at about 60 fps in 4k with my pc its not a major issue. V-sync works just fine, no screen tearing at all. Highly recommended for 4k gaming

The purchase price and the service I received at Best Buy was fantastic. The television was a super deal with a great 4K picture The only downside I can say of the TV is that on some extremely fast action shots there’s a slight blur in movement. Other than that one small hiccup one month and so far the picture is great the colors are fantastic I’m very happy.

I am very picky with my tv picture quality! I get on my own nerves changing picture values during a show! This tv is really the best I've seen. The brightness is off the charts. You do have to use the Roku app to make advanced changes, which is good as far as making changes but should be available on tv menu not app! Otherwise an excellent tv!

I bought this TV to replace a Sony Bravia (KDL-46WL140) I had in my living room. My Sony has been an excellent TV for the past 10 years. However, the picture on this TCL is far superior...and at less than 1/2 the price I paid for the Bravia. I am totally happy with my purchase, and will definitely consider TCL for any future TV purchases.

First things first - I purchased this TV while it was 50% off making it the best 65" TV to buy at $1K. If it were regular price the value for price would go down in my opinion because around $2K - at that price there a lot of other options. For the price I paid I am downright blown away. Having worked at Best Buy and seeing tons of TV'S I genuinely can't believe how good a picture this TV has. The mini LED lighting nearly eliminates the blooming effect from traditional back lightning and aside from OLED TV'S I think this probably has the best contrast levels. I also love the generous amount of HDMI ports and easy labeling of your devices. I actually put the TV on a Tabletop TV stand but if you plan on putting it on a regular TV stand be sure in measure because the base has a lot of depth and the TV itself is pretty heavy so make sure you have a friend or 2 to help unbox it. Another favorite of mine is the IPQ app designed to help you calibrate the TV picture. It definitely doesn't compare to a professional calibration like from Geek Squad but it noticeably improved the picture after using it a few times. This being my first TCL, I am blown away and I would definitely own another. Love it!

Good TV, TCL software holds back perfection

So to start: 1. Build quality is outstanding. The TV has well defined edges and a small width footprint. It feels like a next generation TV. 2. Picture quality is excellent and the built-in roku feature is nice for cutting the cord. We got rid of cable and haven’t missed it. 3. The stand is surprising minimalist and fits that aesthetic nicely. It also takes up about 46” which means you can fit the TV on a stand that’s smaller than it’s screen (in our case - 65”). That’s the good. Here’s the bad. 1. The software that runs the picture quality has well-documented problems around certain motion clarity settings. You’ll likely get flickering until you turn the feature off. 2. Tweaking the settings to get the best results requires a few searches online, which can be problematic for those that are not tech savvy. Once you get the right profile, it’s amazing. It’s just getting there that can be a pain. In the end, this is a really good TV. I got it on a sale for half off. If you can get it at that kind of bargain - don’t hesitate.
