I think trying to compare TV's these days to decide which one to get is getting pretty difficult. You used to be able to look at them side by side and typically could see some clearly looked better than others. But those lines have been blurred. To the average person, most of them all look great. So for the most part, the decision comes down to performance and features.  The picture quality on this TCL NXTFRAME TV is great. As I mentioned, most do now, but when you get down to the details there are a few things that set some apart from others. PICTURE COLOR: The colors really do pop. They are vivid and bright enough that you can really enjoy the picture quality. As with any TV, calibrating the settings to your viewing environment is going to be important to get the best looking picture *to you*. Everyone sees things a little different so fine tuning it to what you think looks best will make you enjoy it more. But out of the box, it looks great and most people will be happy with it as is. BLACK LEVELS: This is one area where some TV's stand apart from others. I won't get into the details of why, but while the QLED technology used on this one gives you great color, it also keeps the blacks from being truly black. I'm not saying it's terrible, but you just aren't going to get the truly "ink black" you get with OLED or even some other TV's.  MOTION: This is one of the TV's stronger features. It supports high refresh rates at high resolution. So watching sports and gaming is where this TV shines. Motion is nice and smooth and makes watching sports and gaming more enjoyable and easier to watch. The native refresh rates along with the additional settings to adjust motion make this TV perform better than others. SCREEN: The matte screen on the TV makes you think it's not going to get very dark or be very bright, but it doesn't affect the picture really, just reduces glare from reflections. While it certainly could be brighter and darker, that's not due to the matte screen but the LED's that light it. The screen does however help with the next feature. A PICTURE FRAME The main "attraction" of this TV is the "picture frame" aspect of it. And I have to say I was pleasantly surprised at how well this actually works. To start, the TV is pretty slim - around 1" deep. So it definitely can look like a picture frame mounted on the wall. This is also due to the fact that the TV mounts flush with the wall  The included mounting brackets (yes, you don't have to buy a separate bracket) allow the TV to easily mount so that the top and bottom are pretty much flush with the wall, meaning there's no tilt downward as you get with a lot of other frames, nor does it stick out from the wall due to the mount. And the way the mount is designed is essentially like a hinge, meaning it's easy to get it mounted, and once it is, you can easily swing out the bottom of the TV to access your ports, all of which are on the back facing downward. It really is a great design that includes all the connections within the TV itself, but still keeps it slim and flush mounting. It has a nice off white frame around it, but also comes with a light colored wood-like frame that attaches to each side magnetically so you have a couple of options for the frame. And with the matte screen, once you put an image on it that you want to display and adjust the brightness of the screen, you really can pass it off as a piece of art. And the included Art Library has plenty of options to choose from for what you want to display, from classic artwork, to photos, digital art, and even AI generated images. There's also a section called "Relax" that has some images with motion (i.e. a beach with waves rolling in) that also have ambient sound you can turn on or off to create a relaxing environment (you can also turn on these sounds on the other images as well). GAMING While this TV has the capability for higher refresh rates that are supposed to provide a smoother gaming experience, so do lots of TV's these days. So it doesn't really stand out in that aspect, rather it fits in with the "norm". The higher and variable refresh rate is nice to have but it's nothing mind blowing. Really as far as motion goes, the biggest area I noticed a difference is with watching TV or movies. It's almost like the motion settings being cranked up get it to where it should be at normal settings. There's no "soap opera effect" with them cranked, but turning them off makes some things unwatchable. Overall I think this is a decent mid-range TV. I would say unless you really want super dark blacks and a really bright image, this is a nice TV for a Family room because it looks nice on the wall and it does have a good picture quality for that type of environment. While the matte finish of the screen is also nice for bright environments, the TV just doesn't get bright enough to overcome the fact that a matte finish already "appears" to not be as bright as non-matte screens. So if those things that you would be concerned about, then you can certainly get darker/brighter Tv's for the money. If not, and you just want a nice looking TV to hang on your wall you'll be happy with this one.

This is a long time coming considering that my older tv was becoming outdated. Getting the tv out the box was made easy. After cutting the plastic ties, the box was removed by pulling up. To mount the tv, everything was included. The mounting hardware, anchors, template and mount was all in the package. Consider the height of the tv because I was told it probably should have been mounted at lower height. I took more time installing the NXTFRAME tv because I wanted to conceal the wires behind the wall. I installed a media box for with a surge protector and a low voltage access. The difficult part was getting the wires behind the studs. I also did a shopping trip to get longer hdmi cables because all of mine are 6 feet. With the manual was instructions on how to mount the tv. I think they should have used a bigger font. The instructions were helpful in the process. I was thinking of using toggle bolts but I did not want to mess up the manufacturer installation guide. When hanging the tv you will need an extra hand for connecting the up to 4 hdmi cables, power supply and Ethernet cable. The tv weighs about 50 pounds so it can be useful to have a 3rd person. After hanging the tv to the wall for me it is not flushed to the wall. I was expecting it to be closer to touching the wall but it could be because of the thickness of my cables behind the tv. I think it still looks good though and I could always adjust the cables. This is my first Google TV and the on screen setup was so easy. It walks you through the process and you can fine tune it to your personal preferences later. The picture quality is really good. I immediately noticed a difference between the TCL NXTFRAME and other tv. The color appears more vibrant compared to what I was using. The refresh rate is 120hz and that is double of my older tv. I’m not experiencing any motion lag since it’s noticeable for movies, gaming and watching sports. The art display feature is impressive because it displays art or personal when you push the button on the remote. The sound of the tv speakers are decent enough without a surround sound system but I already have one so I’m using it with the NXTFRAME. Overall navigating through the different features and settings are very easy. The remote control is going to take time to get used to but it’s sleek and simple. Under the bottom left side of the tv, there is a small speaker box. It can be pushed in or out, I can’t figure out what it does and nothing on the manual. My high points for this TCL NXTFRAME tv are: 1. The picture quality is great and pleasing to watch 2. The feel of the material feels like a durable build 3. It includes HomeKit, Google home, Alexa, Cast, Airplay 2 and more 4. All top streaming apps are available to download or already preloaded 5. Having the tv display art when I want My low points for this TCL NXTFRAME tv are: 1. It does not include a stand for the option of not mounting but I think that’s a future possibility. 2. I was expecting it to be lighter in weight You will definitely get a good deal if you get tcl NXTFRAME at this current price. I feel like it’s packed with features and upgrades that will make it a necessity in any room. Great tv but I should have went with a bigger size.

TCL's NXTFRAME is a great TV with many modern features and an aesthetic to fit beautifully in any room. I have been showing off the Art and Live Art features when not using to mesmerize my guests and gaming on it via consoles and PC. While I will go out and say setup and installation is most definitely a 2-person job, the TV for being a 65inch was really light vs the other brands in my house. There are 2 options for using the TV. 1st is using the included proprietary flush wall mount kit since the TV IS NOT VESA COMPATIBLE!!! Fair warning for those thinking about switching their current TV to this one because you can't use your existing hardware. It wasn't too difficult if you follow the instructions and it is super flush to the wall to mimic real artwork. 2nd is using TCL's TV stand that looks like an Easel. Not gonna lie, it looks pretty cool to imitate being an artist for home aesthetics and makes the TV mobile to move it around. Also you have a choice for your look on the TV. The edges are white but if you prefer a wood look, the included 4 edges are magnetic are really easy to install and can be removed with little effort. Connections are recessed in the rear of the TV and has extremely well thought out cable management system to make it flush. See the pics. HDMI 1 and 2 are your HDMI 2.1 connections for 4k 144hz VRR with 1 also being eARC. 3 and 4 are standard HDMI 2.0 doing 4k @ 60 instead. The NXTFRAME uses Google TV for its built in apps. I didn't bother with any as I just use my PS5 or Series X for media streaming / gaming. But there is also TCL apps to get to the Artwork to display. Performance is outstanding. Being a QLED, the HDR content was pretty good out of the box and required little adjustment on my part for color accuracy. I streamed Youtube, Netflix, Prime Video, Paramount + etc and all my content looked fantastic. Another top marks from me is surprisingly gaming. Yes. Gaming. For a TV that doesn't advertise it, the specs are excellent for console and PC gaming (with a minor complaint for PC later). TCLs Game Mode offers super LOW latency when using HDMI ports 1 and 2. See the pic below to see all the boxes were checked for Xbox and also on my PS5. HDR10, Dolby Vision etc looked great on this TV. There is even a Gaming HUD (pic with the blue on top and bottom of screen) that gives you stats like FPS, HDR, VRR and options for stuff like putting a center sight on the screen for FPSs. If you plan on using the TV as a PC monitor as well, as long as your GPU can handle it, you can get 4k @ 144 and it looks amazing. 1 thing to note that I noticed for me is that I could not get VRR to turn on. Wasn't a biggie on my part, but just throwing it out there. The art mode is such a great feature that I personally did not expect to fall in love with. I love Starry Night, but there are a TON of other pieces to display to your hearts content. There is also "Live Art" that adds movement to certain art pieces to give a little more life to your room. Also you can upload your own pics to display as well. Screen itself is a matte finish for anti glare and looks great. The downside on the TV is the viewing angles. The more off center you are or go, the worse the picture will get. Onboard speakers are adequate but I would recommend at least getting a quality soundbar. I can go for days praising the TCL and especially now since it's on sale for sub 1k, I would tell anyone to get it in a heartbeat. The only downside to the TV is not being VESA compatible, but at least to counter this, TCL includes the wall mount with the NXTFRAME for you.

Do NOT waste money on this art TV. Purchased Dec 7 and it went black 3 weeks ago. TCL warranty has been placed so had to dismount the TV and it’s been sitting 3 weeks with no update after I’ve called for status. You get what you pay for! Nothing but time waste and low quality. I’ve never had any issue with any other brand - LG, Samsung or Sony.

I really wanted a frame tv. This particular tv hangs in our living room, in the center of a "built in". We had another 65" tv up there but I never liked the way that it hung. It took away from the look of the area. When this tv became available, I jumped at the opportunity to get it. At 65", it is just the right size. It hangs flat on the wall so it blends right into the built in. The frame on the tv is white, which is different. But that works better for me because my built ins are white. A black frame would have made it stick out. If it were in the middle of a room, that would be more important. It comes with light wood cover pieces to go over the white frame. They are magnetic so they are super simple to switch out. I'm not sure if other color options are available. This tv came well packaged in the box and was easily removed. It comes with a template for plot out hanging it up. And although I thought I had to buy a special flat mount for it, I didn't. It came with hangers. It was relatively easy to put up. Two things though: because of the distance between the two hangers, you can't put both in studs. One will have to be in drywall. So plan accordingly so that you can either have at least one stud or that you have the hardware to secure it into the wall. Second, it would have been easier if the hangers could have held straight out so you could get both hooks on easier and then pull down to put them into place. It was hard to be sure that you had both hooks on the mount. Twice, we thought we did but did not. We had two people to hang it and one to stand back and supervise the placement so we got it on right. If it were in the middle of a wall, it would have been easier because you could have looked behind it. One of the suggestions for the tv is a recessed box to go behind the tv to run have the outlet and cable connectors in as well as store the excess cable. Otherwise, it won't sit quite flat to the wall because the cables and cord will make it stick out. We have one already but we may switch over to the one suggested because it is a better style. I let the art studio that it comes with the tv run. It was really nice. I have a really large assortment of family pictures and vacations photos that I have through my Google Photos that run through my devices as my screen savers. On this screen, we settled on a few. I made a special album and chose that one to use for the screen saver. It is so nice. This is a smart tv, which is an absolute must now a days. I don't need to be messing around with sticks or boxes and using proprietary sites to get apps. Using Google lets me get what I need, straight from the source. The remote is white. Not my preference. White tends to yellow with age. But it is a smaller, decent size. The tv was seemless to set up. My Google Home found it right away and it copied my other tv's settings. Within minutes we were ready to go. The guys in my house played some games through it and said that it was decent. Not as great asntheir high performance gaming monitors but definitely acceptable to them. We watched lots of streaming programing from YouTube to Disney+. There is something very crisp and dimensional looking about the picture. I took some pictures but I'm not sure how they'll look posted online. I really like how quickly the tv responds to the remote when I want to make a change to what I'm watching. Overall, I really like this tv. It is a fantastic deal for a frame tv, especially with the quality. I looked at the other brand at the store and I don't see a big difference, especially considering the price difference. I know that a lot of people are beholden to the big name brands when it comes to electronics. I have a big brand, high end smart tv. I frankly don't notice a difference, except for the price. I can buy this really nice TCL frame tv and a sound bar system and still spend less than a fancy name brand.

Super Stylish TV that Blends In & Stands Out

Smart Frame TVs are one of the newer trends in home TV tech and its a pretty cool concept - have a TV look like a piece of framed art when not in use, and have it a TV when you want to watch something! The TCL NXTFRAME takes that to the next level with a super slim package that packs a punch! PROS: - I was really taken back by how slim and stylish this TV is. It really does have the look of a framed piece of art on your wall with the looks of the border and the thickness of it. Of course you have the detachable faux wood bezels as well but the white looks great too. - Once mounted and setup, this is really a breeze to use. It comes with Google TV OS built in (if you want to use it) but otherwise can be linked to Amazon or Apple HomeKit as well, all very nice things to have! - The artwork quality on this TV is fantastic! It has a matte look to it to actually provide a real life art look and not just a super glossy tv. You can either select from their Air selection or use the really cool AI Art feature to create something unique as well. Overall it really does deliver in the "smart frame" aspect of this tv. - As far as watching actual TV on this, I was very much impressed. It has 4K HDR Dolby Vision IQ on this which really brought to life everything that I watched! it handled sports well with its 120hz panel (although variable at 144hz) and the color and clarity really popped on what I watched. It really showed vivid detail and I was very happy with how it can switch from looking like art to being able to watch the biggest and best movies on this TV. - This also comes loaded with really nice features on top of this: the ports are HDMI 2.1, it has eARC, supports HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, has game modes for great video games, Dolby almos audio built in, and the remote is actually useful compared to others! It makes you feel validated in that TCL made sure you had a lot of great features for now and to future proof as technology advances. CONS: - I wish the inputs were a little easily accessible given how slim this is. It makes things a little challenging if you need to change how your hook ups are. - This TV can only be wall mounted. It does not come with traditional legs/stands. Which I understand it looks best mounted, but having legs would have been a nice accessory for versatility when needed. BOTTOM LINE: - This is easily the most stylish tv I have ever owned. Some TVs are too clunky are designed too industrial, while the TCL NXTFRAME truly blends into my room to add a level of sophistication and raises the appeal of everything around it. However, when I want to watch TV it brings Dolby Vision super high quality picture that makes it enjoyable for sports, movies, TV, or video games. It's loaded with great features built around a Google TVOS system, and it's so slim you will forget you have a TV mounted to your wall. This is the best frame TV you can get and you will not be disappointed!

TCL’s newest Television named NXTFRAME Isn’t your typical television, TCL made this TV to be hung on the wall like a work of Art, and for that reason it does not come with a stand of any kind. Instead it comes with mounting hardware, to hang on the wall. Smart Capabilities : Just like any modern television, this TV set can be connected to the Internet and comes preinstalled with a bunch of different apps , like Youtube, Netflix etc. you don’t necessarily need people television to enjoy your TV. Resolution: 4K QLED, what does this mean? It means movies were clear, 120Hz means sports and video games will move extra fast. Every time I go to my local warehouse store, I always look at the difference between TVs, And the QLED televisions always look just a little bit more colorful then regular LED TV’s and this set is no exception. Bezel frame: What is a bezel frame? Well, that’s one of the things that makes this TV different than other TVs. Basically it is an optional “frame” that you can install around the edge of the TV that sticks to your it magnetically and changes the color of the bezel from white to a light wood color. This is optional, but it is included with your purchase. I have read that other colors might be available in the future. NXTFRAME button: This button on the remote will put the TV in Art mode, basically turning your TV into a digital picture frame. A 65 inch digital picture frame. It’s free, no subscription required. There’s lots of different artwork to choose from and it even has AI capabilities that can create pretty much anything you can think of. Everything you can possibly look for in a TV is included here HDR, Dolby Atmos audio, DTS, Bluetooth capabilities, Wi-Fi 5, 4 HDMI inputs and many other things.

As a TV, the TCL NXTFRAME is pretty much flawless. The picture quality is fantastic with bright, vibrant colors and excellent detail. Aside from turning off the fast motion to remove the 'Soap Opera" look on my movies, I pretty muck left the image at factory settings and I'm blown away. The intuitive menu system is a breeze to navigate, and I’ve had zero complaints when it comes to its performance as a TV. Now, let’s talk about its dual purpose as an art display. While the AI art generator and Art Library are a cool touch, let’s not kid ourselves—nobody’s going to mistake this for an oil painting. That said, having family photos or subtle art on the screen beats staring at a black rectangle when the TV’s off. It’s a nice way to blend it into the room, especially above a fireplace. The included magnetic frame is decent—it makes installation simple but has its quirks. The corners of the frame don't align perfectly, which was a bit of a letdown. I’d also love to see more color or material options offered by TCL, as the light wood frame doesn't exactly match my decor. I may rock the TV naked or try to use the frame as a template and build a frame out of some wood trim. Where my main gripe lies was with installation. This TV is heavy. Seriously, this is not a one-person job. The process itself is straightforward—two hooks attach to the TV, and two plates go on your wall. However, the decision to use two separate mounting plates was a huge miss. Even with precise measurements, there’s room for slight misalignment. Without a laser level, getting the TV perfectly straight is almost impossible. Mine is off by about 3mm, and now I’m stuck trying to figure out a fix. A single plate design would have been much easier and more forgiving. Overall, the TCL NXTFRAME is an impressive piece of tech. It’s a fantastic TV that doubles as a stylish art display. If TCL had simplified the mounting process and offered more frame options, this would be an easy A. As it stands, it’s a solid B+, and I’m giving it 5 stars because 4 would be too harsh. If you’re ready for the challenge of mounting it, the picture quality and added features make it worth the effort. Better yet, the prices are pretty great right now, so take the savings and hire Best Buy to install it.

We wanted a Art Work stype TV with a White Frame for our bedroom. It’s literally perfect! And on sale!! Set up was a breeze and so convenient and user friendly. Love that i can use our own photos for the screen saver… it also has countless options for art work, nature photos, live nature scenes. With music and or nature sounds… picture is amazing! It dosnt advertise as a Gamer tv but there is a Gamer Tv Mode and its amazing! 10/10 Recommend. We love the matte tv screen and installation with two people is a must! But it was a breeze… took all of 30mins id say… comes with its own hardware for mounting.. saved us another $50-$70 not having to buy hardware..

I have been looking at Frame televisions since Samsung brought theirs out a few years ago. The intent was to have something modern that was not a standard black box. The issue when the Frames first came out was the price versus the size. For a few brands, that is still the case but found the TCL NXTFRAME 65A300W at Best Buy and was amazed at the clarity, cost, features, and overall look, so ordered right away. Just installed and the steps could not be any simpler with the included flush mounts, and template for where to attach to the wall. Once installed and powered up, logged into the Google Home app and the TV was recognized right way and started walking me through the set up to my services. All the set-up steps were self-explanatory and loaded everything right away, and the remote is easy to use. The best part is the picture quality! The photos are so realistic it is hard to tell it is not an actual piece of art. The quality of the movies and videos are spot on and crystal clear. I could not be happier with finally jumping into a Frame television than with this TCL! Truly incredible!!!

I had the TV mounted yesterday and spent a bit of time finding the art gallery as well as adding all of the channels, etc! I love the TV! It’s a bit larger than my old one and the picture is clear. I love the frame TV!

The perfect large screen TV when you don't want people to notice your TV. Excellent picture. Looks fantastic. Someone actually came in and said, "Where's your TV?" The only flaw is the drywall hardware is NOT strong enough to hold it. We bought our own, heavy duty hardware and installed it ourselves.

Excellent TV, great picture, lots of features. It blends in nicely and hugs the wall. Love the artwork options that you can use while not watching TV. The TV is a great value. The Best Buy techs did a great job hanging the TV. Very professional and well with the cost.

Love this product. I was nervous on how easy or difficult it would be to install. Found it over all easy, my only suggestion would be to have their be one longer mounting bracket instead of two seperate ones. Also when purchasing was informed the power cord would be flat and that made sense given the product but found out it was not so needed to order a special cord. So if you are installing and do not have a recessed outlet behind you will need to purchase as well. Also recommend pairing with a soundbar.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I’m absolutely thrilled with the TCL 55” CLASS NXTFRAME! The picture quality is stunning — movies, sports, and regular TV all look crisp and vibrant, with colors that truly pop. The matte finish on the screen is fantastic; it minimizes glare and gives the TV a sleek, high-end look that blends perfectly with my space. One of my favorite features is the A.I. art mode. The artwork looks incredible, as if I have a digital gallery right in my living room. This TV is truly a masterpiece, both as a display and as a piece of art. Highly recommended!

Overall nice tv with some core features missing

Overall this is a good TV. The picture is incredible and the google OS is nice. I scoured the internet for reviews on this before purchasing and didn’t find much so I’m here to give some context to the Art Mode, which I’m assuming if you’re looking specifically at a frame TV, is your priority. First of all, the tv doesn’t display art when it’s “off” like the Samsung frame. It has to be on and in wallpaper mode. Second, the customization on wallpapers is limited. You can’t add the matte frames in wallpaper mode — only if you are manually selected in a gallery. In wallpaper mode, they’re just edge to edge on the screen. There’s also no room ambience sensing. Next, it doesn’t have presence sensing. You have to manually turn the TV on and select art mode to use it. Finally, there’s a really annoying quirk where each artwork has to “load” when it switches. So in wallpaper mode, every time you switch artworks, an icon shows up that says “resource loading” before switching which kind of ruins the art effect. Overall for a tv the same price as the Samsung, they’re missing some core functionalities. Hopefully a firmware update will improve some things, but the presence sensing is hardware so that’ll always be missing.

Beautiful tv, looks so much better than our old tv. We just got our fireplace column remodeled and hung this up and it’s the perfect update. Easy to find beautiful/seasonal digital art on Etsy and upload to the ArtMode from your photos. Glad we took the chance on this when on sale!
