A great tv but the sdr viewing falls short for me. Upscaling sdr (think sports) was not sufficient. It would be great in a bright room that an OLED couldn't handle. Ended up with an LG C3.

Tv is amazing. No issues and picture is great. Any flame or fire scene is absolutely realistic. Have to switch to right setting for live sports and adjust brightness to correct any blurring while streaming. Would buy again.

We purchased this TV on January 28 and it was delivered the afternoon of January 31. Today is February 3 just before 6 PM. I turned it on a little while ago to watch something on Amazon Prime. Part of the way through my show, I needed to pause it for a little bit. When I returned, the screensaver was on. I pressed the back button on the remote. It hesitated for a moment and then displayed the screen that would allow me to resume my show. So, I pressed the center button to resume and.... Nothing. I used the arrow buttons to try to move to other objects and, again, nothing. I pressed the power button on the remote... Nothing. I asked Google assistant on my phone to turn off my TV. She happily said she'd do it... Nothing. So, I walked over to the TV, pressed and held the power button and it finally shut off. I used the remote control to turn on the TV again. It worked. After everything loaded, I used the arrow buttons on the remote to try to navigate to the settings menu to do a real restart... Nothing. I pressed the power button on the remote and it did turn off. I waited a moment and pressed the power button on the remote again... Nothing (except for my soundbar waking up - so the remote is doing its part). I waited another moment and pressed the power button again. It turned on for just a couple of seconds and then shut off. I pressed the power button again... Nothing. I asked Google assistant to turn it on and it did this time. Thankfully, I was also able to get it to navigate to the settings this time. I restarted it and it's now behaving normally again. I certainly hope we're not going to have to deal with trouble like this every 3-4 days! I have to say, I'm not very happy with my purchase at the moment.

The Google TV interface is big improvement over Roku which seems dated and lacking in comparison. The picture quality is fantastic with great dark performance even in a bright room. Finish is very good and it's much thinner than our previous TV and looks good on our wall.

Best 65" below 1k USD, it might not be OLED but still very good for the price. So far no issues with Google TV either, fingers crossed.

Don't buy anything "Alexa" the TV has great, user friendly, apps and an amazing picture. Alexa is trash buy a real sound bar.

I was able to pick-up this tv open box excellent for about $800. Great deal for a mini led and great replacement for my 7 year old sony right? Well..... there were pros and cons and at the end of the day i returned it and got the Sony x93L. Yes there is quite the price difference in those two but you get what you pay for. Pros: this tv was great for gaming! Had all the right inputs for a series x or ps5 and it automatically knew what to adjust to. The contrast was amazing for a mini led. Certain catered content looks incredible as well! Cons: The motion clarity was atrocious. Much of the content I wanted to watch had noticable studdering on the items in motion. Additionally, there was zero processing for 'older' content. And this again goes into the motion issues. I attempted to watch the walking dead via Netflix and the tv just couldn't handle it. It was grainy and very studdery. Especially when there was foliage in the background of shots. This wasnt an Internet issue or Netflix as i pulled up the same content on my other devices and it looked just fine. So if you dont care much for content and mainly are focused on gaming, then go for it. But if you want a mixed use look elsewhere.

I upgraded from the 2019 * Series TCL to this one and it is wonderful. The interface is snappy and things load quickly. The picture quality is very close to OLED with deep, inky blacks and almost 0 blooming even on off-axis viewing. The game mode works great with PS5 and the Series X. I cannot comment on the TV audio because it is running through a reviever with E-Arc, but that worked right away with messing around. If I had one complaint I wish it would auto recognize the Switch, but that is a minor gripe as I can just manually turn on game mode. Definitely worth the price

TCL has always been about bringing to the table outstanding value with class leading technology. And the MQ8 checks all the boxes, with it's 2000 plus dimming zones, great design construction and accessible price it is a TV that should be in everyone's consideration list!

85" was so good I got a 65" for the bedroom. HDR10+ plus Dolby Vision and a great picture at an amazing price.

This tv will wow you, it is bright with really good pictures quality and clarity, HD video will have you saying OMG, really enjoying this TV , came from a Sony 950H Bravia to TCL’s Q8, Sony’s processing is a tad bit better, but this one is definitely no slouch either and a better bargain to boot, I’d say I’m pretty pleased with this TV

I bought the QM8 after a LOT of research and comparing its price and quality to those of other brands with much higher costs. I am blown away by the quality and features of this TV. The mini-LED QLED picture is incredible. I would definitely buy more of these.
