My main priorities when it comes to a TV is the quality for watching football and playing video games. This TV excells in both. Not only is the picture excellent, the transitions and movement in the roku main screen are smooth and quick. I have other roku tvs that are basic and cheap. And the way this tb moves vs the others is very differential. This tv is fast with no lag or delays. Ive now had it for 1 year about and i LOVE it still.

Crippled fine adjustments ruin a great TV

TCL's have always been very reliable with pretty great QLED screens at the top end. This was no exception and for most people it will be fine. However, Roku hides the fine picture setting like Gamma and White, Red and Blue balance inside a Roku smartphone app that doesn't work. It's a known issue with numerous posts on Roku's boards going back a year. It has never been fixed and the workaround is finding and installing a very old version that will quickly update on your phone and break the functionality again. Frankly I'm not going to pay $1500 for a TV with crippled software made by a company that knows it is broken and won't fix it. Most people won't calibrate their TV so it may be fine for them, but I'll choose a brand and OS that works as TV's always have. Done, done with Roku. Unfortunately, the 75" Google version (R646) is no longer available and seems to be awaiting a new model as it's a 2021 model.

Beautiful picture with integrated Roku. Roku programs have far fewer commercials than an external HDMI Roku ✔️ No component inputs so an adapter is required to connect things like an original Wii :| But that’s OK because the picture makes up for it

Got this tv and watched the Blue Planet II series. The colors are great and motion blur is minimal. If you like to fine tune the color settings then you’ll need to download the Roku app and go into settings as the pictures show. Sound quality is ok but immediately hooked up to my BOSE system. Have this in my bedroom and the size is perfect. All in all the price for the picture quality, size, and brightness is a good compromise.

This TV replaces a 75" Samsung TV that burned out a backlight LED after ~4 years. We have a 2018 TCL 6 Series bedroom TV that we purchased based on top ratings from review sites and love. So when we saw that the 2022 model was still a top contender, it made the decision for our family room TV replacement easy. Pros: Quantum dot (QLED) colors look great Mini led backlighting/great brightness/amazing contrast 120 hz refresh rate panel (great motion handling) HDMI eARC supported for soundbar/volume control Roku system is simple, intuitive, quick TV setup was remarkably fast (already in Roku system with app installed on phones) Dolby Vision supported HDR highlights pop out nicely "Realistic" picture vs oversaturated/boosted contrast Samsung or Hisense picture No risk of OLED burn in Cons: Screen finish is glossy/reflective for dark content during daytime viewing IR remote is more finicky to remote angle/items blocking sensor than a bluetooth remote Built in speakers noticeably weaker than previous TV Smallest amount of backlight blooming with subtitle text This TV gets fed the normal streaming services (720p, 1080) during the daytime - and at night I turn on 4k HDR videos. We have a very bright (floor to ceiling windows) open concept family room, so I needed something that would get bright, but after looking in person at a few sets - I knew the added contrast of the mini led TVs were about as close as I was going to get to an OLED without actually getting one for nighttime HDR viewing. Needless to say - I'm pretty blown away by how great this TV looks when you feed it proper content. It won't work magic with highly compressed, 720p resolution streaming content - if that is your typical use case - then the 4 or 5 series will probably suffice. But Dolby Vision, HDR content, etc - will be sure to "wow" you and your fellow watchers when pulled up. There are very few 75" TVs that look this good for anywhere near this price. And they are usually hundred to thousands of dollars more expensive. Long term reliability is unknown - but then again - my "reliable" Samsung proved even the big brand names can fail too. I'll happily keep the $500-$1000+ I saved over a comparable "big 3" brand TV - and save it for the next one.

Don’t buy r655 stick with r646. The r655 there is no local dimming it doesn’t activate on almost anything you watch so no deep blacks. The only thing it would is on is 4k black test with flowers and a fald test will not work with any streaming app. Don’t waste your money trying to get tcl to trade me out for a r646. I own an r646 and it truly looks like oled with less dimming zones compared to the 448 dimming zones in the r655. I don’t know what the they did wrong but they need to fix it. My second issue is all the clouding it looks like I just bought a regular lcd tv I thought this was mini led. I have no clouding on my r646 because local dimming is always working. Idk hopefully they fix it. Good luck

Well, you do not realize how large a 75” TV is until it is placed in the house! All kidding aside the TV is great! The color is exceptional and I just do streaming, The blacks are fantastic, no longer losing the person in the dark as with my older TV. TCL in my opinion is a great company producing a great product with awesome sets at affordable prices.

The picture on this TV is terrific. I was hesisitant to give up my old plasma because I thought it had a better picture than most LCDs I have seen. Ultimately, in order to go larger, I had to do it. My research led me to this TV and one of its competitors as my finalists. The TCL won out for 2 reasons 1) availablity - Best Buy had it in stock and ready for immediate pickup or deliver (the competitor's model was out of stock); 3) Roku operating system. I have another TV with built-in Roku and it is a great interface. Very simple and intuitive. The competitor's model had Google TV, which reviews have stated can be buggy. I own a Google phone, which I like, but it is definitely buggy, so I didn't want that on my TV. It's only been a couple of weeks, but the picture on this TV, and the Roku OS have performed as expected, so I am happy with the purchase.

Give it a shot you’ll like it a lot. I researched. I read reviews. I went into stores and shopped. I took my time and viewed and reviewed numerous models at numerous price points and sizes. Just when I thought I needed an 85” 4K to satisfy my gaming and streaming needs… I stumbled across many many positives reviews about this TCL model. The only negatives I saw was that screen tinkerers might be annoyed. I don’t tinker. I set it and forget it. With that said This TV is perfect! The 6 series at 75” is more than enough. My Xbox has never been so happy! Gaming just flows. And watching shows on streaming services is just as good. I honestly have nothing negative to say. Setup was maybe 5 mins. And voila! Perfect TV for my perfect little setup. I haven’t hooked up a sound at but the stick speakers are more than adequate. If you’re like me, don’t shop and read every review in the world… just bust out your card, buy this TV and enjoy a great viewing experience and a great price.

Great TV. Colors are amazing. Roku system limits your picture and sound settings. Its bright but wouldnt mind it brighter at times. Dark blacks are nice. Overall, amazing TV for the price, but i hate the roku operating system and will be returning for the LG mini LED or possibly Samsung qn85 or 90 since it is on sale right now for just little more. If not looking to go over 1,400ish… try the Hisense U8H or this TCL. Hisense is more bright.

No DSE like prior iterations of the 6-series I have owned. Picture looks great, 144hz on 2 ports is great especially with having eARC on its own port. You could use an AVR with a gaming pc + console or 2 consoles this way and achieve VRR. Dolby vision has an auto mode to sense the light in the room which is an improvement from a few generations ago. Hardly any sacrifices to be had with this televisions features and at a price point cheaper than OLED.
