TCL over Samsung for sure.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We replaced our Samsung 55" with this TCLR635 75" unit and can say we are impressed. Color is clear and vivid, blacks are black and no halo effects at all, if you need brightness this unit can put it out even in the brightest rooms, sound is good as any other TV we have had from Samsung. The Roku interface is just awesome simple and easy, setup was a very easy and well laid out. If you are on the fence you should go for it. Get the biggest one you can afford I thought the 75" would be to large but because of the excellent picture quality even in a small room it will be impressive.

Extremely Disappointed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wanted so badly to give this a 5 star rating but unforuntantly that wont happen. I wanted to replace an older Vizio tv with one that would make it easier for my wife to use and see. She has not been well so I wanted to surprise her with this 75" TCL when I went to the Spartanburg store I was discouraged on buying the TCL from by one of the sales clerks and his manager. I did not listen as you can see as I went ahead and bought the Series 6 BBY01-806428340288 Also seeing that Best Buy was offering a 365 Day exchange or return which surprised me, but I had that verified so I went ahead and purchased it. Once it was in place I was excited as it seemed to have a great picture. But then I started to get the moments when it would blank out, the power button would start flashing and sometimes it would take a few minutes before it came back on. Then there was a time I had to reboot the entire TV and most recently I got some strange message during one of these blackout where it said something about Hamster Wheel Engaged ?? Anyhow this has become so frustrating that I felt it was time to post my review and decide if I should return this for a different manufacture. Of course this will be a difficult task and not sure I will get any help from TCL or Best Buy to make this happen? and being disabled I am sure I will have to cover the cost to take it down and put something else on the wall. Maybe everyone else is having good luck with theirs and I hope mine is just a rare case, but I never had any of these issues for over 3 years with my Vizio Maybe their 2021 models will be more refined but they are not sharing any release information :-( Again, it is disappointing that I have to place such a bad review.

Huge upgrade from TCL 4 Series
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Professional reviews of this TV were absolutely glowing, and those guys are comparing it to the best of the best. I was coming from a 2 year old TCL 4 series which was fine but wasn't really blowing me away with HDR. This TV is extremely bright in comparison and really makes HDR content shine. How does it compare to a Sony or LG at twice the price? I don't know. But the brightness and picture quality are spectacular and I'm extremely happy with it. Also, and I've barely seen this mentioned, there's a calibration app called iPQ that you can run. You run it on your phone, it allows you to download a private Roku channel companion app, then it shows a series of gray boxes and has you take pictures, then makes changes and does a second series of pictures to compare.. It told me it was calibrated better, and it looks good to me, but I don't have any equipment to double check that.

Low tech happiness
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a high tech person, I got a ROKU TV because they are supposedly easier to use than some other platforms of smart tv. This is true! I have ONE CHORD, the one that plugs into the wall and that's it, and thats enough right there! I have owned this for over a year . The picture is awesome and one of the reasons I got this tv was the sound was rated good and didn't need a sound bar that's back to the no wires or other stuff to mess with. The only problem I has was the remote drained batteries like overnight, I fixed this by using the app remote, which I have found to be excellent. I often listen via my AirPods off of the remote app and when I get a call it pauses the show and I can answer the phone without having to mess with other stuff. A friend has a newer setup and the remote is a plug in to recharge and he had had that same Roku remote problem before but not with the new remote. the next TV I buy will be a Roku tV for sure. It was easy to mount to the wall as well, I was able to use my previous mount

Just buy this one! You won't be sorry.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Wow! I read reviews for months and still waited to purchase this TCL 75" 6 Series. It was the right decision. This flatscreen was excellent right out of the box. It was very bright which I was very happy about. I did turn down the brightness. The sound was great too. I was surprised as I had already purchased a Bose soundbar 700 system (awesome, Sonos is too if you are looking at that brand). Picture quality was excellent. The detail is what I was looking for and I'm very pleased. TCL really has this put together well. Oh man, that ROKU system is the best too! Very easy to use, boots up quickly (like maybe 3 seconds), streams exceptionally well with a marginal wifi signal for us. If I could have ANY TV for free, this is what I'd choose.

Punchy blacks
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has some crazy deep blacks that I never thought i’d see on a LED panel. Great and accurate colors and great brightness makes things pop when viewing HDR content. Dolby Vision content looks especially spectacular on this TV. HDR10 stuff tends to look overly dim so I have to use the Tone Mapping function on the tv or on my Panasonic 4K Blu-Ray Player and the user interface still has some bugs and glitches that need to be sorted out. Vudu, HBO Max and Hulu says it outputs in 5.1 but my rear surround speakers dont output any sound. It’s hooked up to the original Sonos sounbar via optical digital cable so I don’t know if it’s the TV or the Sonos. Other than that I highly recommend this set.

A must 4k tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For the price and size its fantastic. Its not as good as a OLed but sometimes its pretty close. Overall the blacks and colors are good. Not perfect blacks but very close. For gaming its pretty good. Low input lag. The tv is very bad with Dolby vision gaming but in hdr gaming its very good. I say Buy it especially for the sale price of $1299.90

Exceeded my expectations
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was looking to upgrade to a 75inch set and researched for days. I read so m at good things about TCL. I was going to buy the 2019 model and then was surprised to find the 2020 model in stock. The picture is amazing. The colors pop and give a beautiful picture. I mounted on the wall with my existing mount. It took 3 of us to get it mounted correctly due to the weight and height. The mini led technology is amazing and I am really happy with my purchase. The quality in this set is better than major brands twice the price. The Roku interface and menu is clean and easy to navigate and the remote is simple. Great purchase overall

Great picture, and great customer service.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Review based on performance, and Best Buy service. First panel was a bit off, but Best Buy replaced with no hassle, and now it is performing just like so many positive reviews. I didn't realize just how bright this thing could be in the home, so window light is not an issue. The picture pops, and Roku is easy to use. Would knock it down one star because one of the apps seems to be having some programming issues for getting HDR activated, but again, panel lottery was easily fixed with Best Buy, so I can live with that for the time frame it is expected to take to fix.

Unreliable live TV .TV reboots itself unexpectedly
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is decent and it WAS fairly reliable but for the past month it has not been at all. I paid a LOT for this TV ($1,300) in July 2022 considering its just 75" but most likely I paid a COVID premium, who knows. The MAIN problem is that for the past 4 weeks, whenever I try to watch live (antenna) TV the entire system locks up, then after a few minutes, it reboots itself.EVERY time. EXTREMELY annoying . This is my first TCL product and I was admittedly a little nervous since I have always purchased Sony, Samsung , LG and Vizio TVs and now the TCL wins as the most unreliable TV I have ever owned due to the live TV problem. I have rebooted, updated software, hard reset and soft reset to no avail. I got 1 year and three months, spent $1,300 now I need to find another TV.

This is the droid you are looking for
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv is what you are looking for . I read all the reviews on oleds and qleds and in some I saw complaints about blooming and the black levels not being on par with oleds and even that’s not entirely untrue , the black levels are excellent and the blooming is minimal at worst now this varies through content like any other tv . I use mine for 4K streaming, sports , and gaming , I highly recommend it for all three .

Great picture quality for the price but...
||Posted . Owned for 1.5 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture quality of this set at its price point is unmatched. The one thing I would point out is the issues we've had with the electronics. I've had problems with the volume control, difficulty with streaming (from my phone), buffering from google tv and other electronic hiccups. This is clearly where TCL cut some corners.

Great Purchase
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Have had this TV about 2 weeks now and have really liked it. ROKU is easy to use. Have had a little bit of issue connecting it to my xfinity remote and Polk soundbar so i'm still having to use 3 remotes which sucks but if that's the only complaint i think i can handle it. Really bright, great clarity. 100% happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend it

Exceeded my expectations!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV has such an amazing picture it just makes me smile. 4K HDR Movies are stunning & even normal SD & 1080 content is upscaled and bright enough that I am watching some older TV series on Roku that I wouldn't normally watch if was on my smaller 4 year old 55" Samsung SUHD 4K TV. I did a lot of research before buying this TV and it came highly recommended and exceeded all my expectations!

No Brainer - buy this tv
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Beautiful TV! Literally a much better TV than almost all that are a thousand dollars more. Samsungs that even start competing with this tv are the Q70 Model and above. Do not fall for the Q60 or the 7/8 series tvs. Sony only starts competing at the 900H. LG still does not compete even on the NANO90 - you really have to go OLED to compete with an LG. Roku interface is just ok, but the value of the Roku platform is that all of the streaming apps support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos by default. Many other tvs that support these services do not offer support through all of the apps. Much lighter than I would expect for a tv this large. Still takes two people to hang but it is perfect for an articulating mount. VERY BRIGHT - like crazy bright for this price point. Out of the box the color is good, but do a quick google search for calibration instructions and you will be blown away. Only con is no HDMI 2.1 - why TCL, why? But it does support almost all facets of the new gaming consoles other than 4k 120hz.

Excellent TV with a massive screen
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I spent many hours researching for a TV to replace our main TV, the TCL 6 series seemed to be the best mix of picture, quality and price for our needs - we are not disappointed after a month of use. We have one other TCL that I purchased with zero research in a rush and it totally amazed me in quality, picture and price. Delivery of the 75" and our setup was simple and the TV exceeds our expectation on all levels. Initial picture quality was perfect, I expected I would need to adjust based on youtube videos but I could not improve it trying all of the suggested changes for the 65" model so maybe this model is set up different or has been updated. It is bright, has amazing clarity and the Roku is so simple to use. Had a problem that the remote was lagging inputs, so switched to the phone app and problem resolved. Then my wife found that you could reset the remote in the controls - did that and resolved all of the lag issues works perfect now. Added several third party 4K screen savers but kept finding the TV coming on for no reason. Removed the third party screen savers and the ghost power ups stopped. Installed them again and started up so they are off the TV for now. So far this TV is simply amazing and exceeded our expectations! PROS Picture quality, Screen brightness, refresh rate, Roku controls, Smart controls, gaming picture, sound is amazingly good Cons Remote was laggy till reset. Some add on screen savers wake the TV up when shut off.

TCL 75R635
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It was time to replace my old 65" Vizio non UHD set from 2016. I researched for weeks, was between this and the Sony X900H, with a HUGE difference in price. I am very happy I saved $600 over the mass market brand, and was able to use the savings for a new Denon Receiver, too. This set is good in SDR with Directv, but absolutely stunning in 4K Content. It does take a bit of time to get your settings for picture right - I started using the various reviewers I could find and finally trusted my eyeballs. I absolutely recommend this set over the far more expensive mass marketed brands like the Sony and LG and Samsung, unless you are happy spending twice the price. I did all the screen check videos from YT etc, and the panel is nearly perfect. I have almost zero Dirty screen effect, virtually no blooming and no noticeable banding. Save your money, skip the Sony 900H and get something else for the $600 savings.
