As a long time Samsung Tv owner, I was a little skeptical about purchasing a TCL. I have been very pleased with the picture quality and the Rokio is easy to use. The remote is really bulky and seems a little cheap but it does the job. One thing I do not like about the TV is the HDMI ports are in the back of the TV which makes it harder if it’s mounted. I really miss the samsung one connect. Overall I have no regrets. It’s a solid TV with an unbeatable price

Yes I had a Sony 2015 model android TV that I way overpaid $3000 for. Can you tell that the blacks are not as good, yes if you are 2 feet away from it, but ATV this size is made to be viewed much farther than that. At that range you can't tell. The Dolby vision is great, I however do not use the speakers so I cannot comment on those. The speed with which it communicates with my Harmony remote over the Lan is great and FuboTV's 4K sports look amazing. The color depth is excellent. If you did not do any research on TV's you would think this one would be around the $2500 to $3000 range. But it's not, if you are into streaming TV services then this TV is for you. We shall see how long she last, but honestly at this price point and with the technology changing so quickly I don't mind buying a new TV every 3 years at this price point. I relent a time when Vizio was new and everyone said don't buy it, mine is now 8 years old and still going strong. The kids always get the hand me downs. They love it though. I bought a Vizio 5 Series 49 inch from Amazon and it came with the enhanced voice remote. Not too sure why a 6 series at this size would not have come with one as well. If it came with that this would be a 5 star review.

Yes, there are better tv's. Yes, there are cheaper or bigger tv's. No tv meets the combination of price, picture accuracy, and size for this TV's. For reference, I do own a 65" LG C9 OLED. I also own an EPSON 5050 UB projector 120" screen. And, I used to own a 55" TCL Series 6. Of all of the above, I would recommend this 75" TCL for most people in their living room when they are sitting approximately 8'-12' from the screen. All of my other screens serve different purposes from different distances. But, this TV is best, and most affordable for most people. If you have a "small" living room and you are sitting 8' or less, you may want to spend more money to get the OLED, but keep in mind you are spending twice as much to get a smaller tv. Don't waste your money on an OLED of 65" or less in a large living room. The projector cannot match the picture of the TCL or the LG, but, for obvious reasons, the tv's also cannot produce a 120" image. The projector is very close on SDR (1080 p Blu-ray). But, on 4K HDR (especially Dolby Vision, which the projector cannot handle), the tv's blow it away.

SHORT VERSION OF MY REVIEW: This TV performs very well for movies, streaming and video games. Before this 75" version was announced, I had been considering the Vizio P Series. Even though I've used Chrome Cast since it's release, I now prefer Roku thanks to the 65" I've owned for the last 9 month. Since the TVs are very similar, this was one of the deciding factors in choosing the TCL over the Vizio. FOR A MORE IN DEPTH REVIEW OF THIS TV, CONTINUE READING BELOW. I won't go into specs or anything technical, you can check out the spec sheet or rtings.com website for that. I'll just write my personal experience. I've owned the 65" version of this TV since last May (9 months). If you are familiar with that TV, then (from what I can tell) this one isn't much different; just bigger! It does have more dimming zones (160) but that's to be expected since it's bigger. I've had this TV for about a week now. During this past week, I've watched everything from regular Blu-rays, Ultra HD Blu-rays, to Netflix and YouTube and played video games on it. I don't watch sports or have cable so I won't be able to comment on how those looks. I have not performed any Dirty Screen Effect, Grey Uniformity, or any other test designed to show any and every defect. In my opinion, sometimes ignorance is bliss. I say that because reading on TV and Home Theater forums, it seems that people didn't notice any negative effects until they went looking for them. If you can't notice anything wrong during your normal viewing, why look for something that you won't be able to un-see. For the record, on my 65", I did eventually do some of the tests and all I noticed was slight vignetting (less than on my Samsung from 2-3 years ago). MOVIES: During the week, we decided to re-watch the three Hotel Transylvania cartoons; the first two which are on regular Blu-ray. The up-scaling worked great. I was pleasantly surprised as to how good the cartoons still looked on a bigger screen considering our viewing distance hadn't change. The third Hotel Transylvania cartoon is on Ultra HD Blu-ray. As cheesey as it may be to say this, the cartoon looked down right amazing! During the party scene at the end of the cartoon, the colors looked great. The neon colors from the glow stick necklaces the characters wore had a very beautiful brightness and the colors were sharp. There is even one scene were the neons are shown with mostly a black background and it still look great. No light bleed or light blooming was noticed. We also watched The Wall (Matt Damon) movie on Ultra HD Blur-ray since I knew it had some scenes with bright colors. The movie, while not always full of bright colorful images (like Hotel Transylvania 3) looked great. The different colored uniforms on the soldiers lit up beautifully. YOUTUBE: The channel 4K HDR (I'm not affiliated with them in any way) has a lot of beautiful videos that really show case this TV's qualities. I know that YouTube compresses the videos but some of these are still mind blowingly amazing. As with the 65" version of this TV, I've caught myself watching 4K HDR video after video. NETFLIX: We have yet to get around to watch a large variety of movies or shows on Netflix but what we've seen has looked great. We watched a couple episodes of The Punisher season 2, which is in Dolby Vision, and quickly felt immersed. While Dolby Vision does appear dimmer, if you play around with the settings, you should be able to find a setting that suits you. We also watched a couple comedy skits/shows. They were in 4K but I'm not sure if they were in Dolby Vision as well. Regardless, the image looked great! VIDEO GAMES: In the settings, it says game mode can lower the image quality but even switching back and forth, I was not able to see the difference. I am however able to notice the increase in lag. While in game mode, the lag input (around 19 ms) is not noticeable. However, if you take it off game mode it jumps to well over 100 ms and is very noticeable. It actually causes some motion sickness for me. We have a PS4 Pro and a Nintendo Switch connected to the TV. I've mostly played PS4 games since getting this TV but I did play a little Donkey Kong Country: Tropical Freeze on it. One, of many things I love about Nintendo games is that they are usually bright and colorful. Even though the game is "only" 1080p, DKC:TF looks great on this TV just like it looked great on the 65". On the PS4 (Pro) I've played Red Dead Redemption 2, Battlefront II, Black Ops IIII, Killing Floor 2, and of course Horizon Zero Dawn. RDR2 has horrible HDR implementation (thanks to the developers) so it's best to turn HDR off. Without it, the game looks good and even the night scenes can amaze you. Battlefront II is a game that received a lot of flack due to micro-transactions and eventually what felt like the game being abandoned by the devs. However, none of this takes away from the beauty of the game. On this TV, and I'm sure any other good TV, the characters look great and allows you to see how great this TV performs. Black Ops IIII was gifted to me so I don't play it that much, just zombie mode. I'm not sure of the exact resolution but the game looks good. Killing Floor 2 is one of my favorite "time wasters" game. There's not much to it. You just shoot zombies (called Zeds in this game) and try to stay alive until the boss round. The game was updated after release for the PS4 Pro and while it doesn't have mind blowing graphics, it looks good. Horizon Zero Dawn is not only a very beautiful and colorful game, but really fun as well. IMO, this is one of the best games to play to see how well this TV performs. I don't yet own Spider-Man nor the newest God Of War otherwise I'm sure those games would be up there along with HZD as far as games to show off this TV's qualities.

I debated between this tv and the x950g. I don't even feel a little bad about pulling the trigger on this bad boy! Upscaling leaves a bit to be desired, but Dolby, and 4k content is absolutely insane! If I have a legitimate complaint it has to be the remote.... absolute trash! And the sound is horrible ..but that's what soundbars are for!

Wow. I was looking for a 65” to replace my old Samsung 64” which was the top of the line in its day. In doing my research, I just kept seeing the TCL 6 series as a best value. When I saw I could get in a 75” for over half off the price of the top of line LG or Samsung, I figured it was worth a try. Boy was I surprised. The picture is amazing and I’ve never seen blacks like this before. The color tone is amazing as well- natural skin tones but also super vibrant when watching colorful materials. I waited a month before writing a review in case the honeymoon period had me fooled, but still as happy as the day I bought it. Best deal out there. Buy it now!

so the 75" part is cool and is for sure a wow factor. If you love to feel immersed in the story this does the trick. The overall image quality though is probably a 7 out of 10. But for the money I feel like it is a very solid value. The interface is a bit clunky. The remote is awful. If I had to do it again I would have spent more money and bought the Sony or Samsung.

Size: The 75 inch is monstrous lol. The TV is on the thicker side (1.5-3 inches thick), 80 lbs, much bigger then my Samsung or LG 65 inch TVs. Picture: TCL picture setting are very basic. At first I thought my TV was horrible with flash lighting and clouding all over the screen. To remove that issue, you have to turn Local Dimming on High and removed all clouding, with slight flash lighting on all corners. The issue is the screen is very pressure sensitive so the slightest pressure causes light distortion. For the cost, the slight flashlighting is acceptable. For color and blacks, this TV is amazing . . . Equivalent 4k picture quality to my 2,200$ Quantum Samsung. Gaming: I bought this for the low lag and 120hz for PS4 and soon to be PS5. Conclusion: Best TV for the price.

I've had this tv since October. I'll start the way most people start by saying I did my research before making this purchase. I take my love for technology serious and have expensive taste but don't have the budget to support it. I look for the best bang for the buck. I know oleds are cream of the crop. I know qleds aren't far behind and actually surpass oleds in some areas. There is a reason most reviewers heap praise on this TV. For what you pay this tv punches far above its weight. Pros are definitely hdr (yes it has Dolby vision), brightness, and black levels. Gaming is also good on this thing. Cons are motion handling in some panning shots for movies, it's not great but not bad either. Blooming can be a problem as well. Blacks are know where near oleds and fall behind only the best qleds. This tv is a budget tv. No getting around that, but what you get for the price can't be beat.

Our new Roku tv is fantastic! It's like watching a show in a movie theatre. The salesman, however, was not very enthusiastic about our interest in the Roku line when we asked for it specifically. He kept trying to steer us to a Samsung or other line; one with the same price as the Roku and one at a much higher price. And he even confessed that picture quality of the Roku was better than the other two! Not sure why he did this? The Roku tv is one we highly recommend. And service, nonetheless, is fantastic, too, at Best Buy.

I read the RTINGS reviews, CNET, Best Buy, Etc. etc. and thought it was all just hype. When I got home and powered this display on and played some true 4K HDR Dolby Vision content, my jaw hit the floor. I compared this to other Samsungs and Sony displays I was considering, and the difference in now way justified an additional $800-$1500. I have a PS4, XBOX One X, UHD player, Roku 4K stick, and an off air antenna, and they all look stunning!! Colors are true, contrast is excellent, blacks are near perfect, and motion is crystal clear. If you are looking for a 75" or even 65" dsiplay, you cant beat this at the moment. I would also like to add, if you are looking at the 75R617, you can buy this one (75R615) and save $100. Only difference is the Roku remote. 615 has no voice button, but I had a voice remote already and paired it with this TV flawlessly.

This tv has an exceptional picture quality that rivals displays that cost twice as much! In addition, there is no better smart tv interface than Roku, and this tv seamlessly integrates it directly into the display. I went back and forth between this and the 65” Vizio P-Quantum, and I’m so happy I chose this! Great picture quality, great interface, and you absolutely cannot beat the quality:cost ratio!!

This tv is silly....silly good that is. It CAN NOT be beat for the price. It compares to other sets that cost twice as much. I've had SONY XBR's, SAMSUNGS, all that cost more than double. I decided to give this tv a shot based on reviews and the picture quality is beyond impressive. It could cost 2k and would still be a great buy. I 100% do not regret my decision and will never again waste money on a "name brand" television simply to say I have a SONY or Samsung, it simply wouldn't make any sense to do so after I've spent some time with this tv. Highly recommended. Thanks TCL.

I was sceptical as I never had a TCL TV. Purchased mostly Samsungs and a Vizio earlier but this did not disappoint. 4K movies and games look amazing. Watching movies on this TV through Xbox One X will make you realize the picture quality difference. PS4 pro looks actually better. Need little fiddling with HDR with Xbox which is disappointing. But, colors and picture quality are so great that I dont care about HDR on Xbox. Also, a little too few inputs. Overall, had this TV for over 6 months, no issues and saves hundreds compared to big brand names for the same picture quality.

I have been looking for a TV for about a week, most of my purchase decisions are based on other people reviews, and experiences. This is why I took my time to review this 75 inches TCL TV. I am very satisfied, the dark colors are just amazing, the 4K movies look great, the built in audio is also great better than I was expecting. I got it on the Deal of the day, and I don't regret it at all. If you are in a budget this is a good TV, there is other brands that offer the same image quality for around a thousand more.

We got the 75" version which has a 120Hz refresh rate and the picture is great! Previously we didn't really notice picture quality, but now after having this TV and the great picture it provides, we notice the lag when watching sports on other TVs. The built in Roku system is great - no need to plug something else into the back of your TV. This one seamlessly allows you to download all of the apps that you need. The one negative of this TV is the remote - it doesn't pick up well and you really have to point it right at the TV.
