Phenomenal picture and great Roku features
||Posted . Owned for 5 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The picture is absolutely beautiful! This is especially true with Dolby Vision sources. I recommend getting an Apple TV because it supports Dolby vision and Dolby Atmos on Netflix and Amazon Prime. The TV is capable of passing a Dolby Atmos signal through ARC but Netflix doesn't recognize it and won't send it. It works well with both my Echo and my Google Home. Now I know why they rate Roku devices so highly. The Roku app for Android phones is really good as well and gives you complete control over the TV. My only complaint is that the feet are so far apart that I had to wall mount the TV.

Best. Bang. For. The. Buck.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Are there TVs out there that may have better picture quality than this puppy? Perhaps. Bottom line....this TCL has the best picture for the money. I'm looking at you OLED and QLED! And there will be no burn-in issues with this TCL. Did my homework, headed over to BB and adopted this puppy! Easy to set up. Easy to calibrate.....yup....just go to RTINGS.com. Sit back and enjoy the picture quality! No regrets! Remember, put your behind in your past. Or was that put your past in your behind? You know what I mean! Go adopt one for yourself! Ciao! Baby Groot

Budget TV is an Overachiever
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If you want any LCD to provide a good uniform image, you need to start with full-array local dimming (FALD). Just having this tech on your TV isn't enough. It must be done well. It's my understanding earlier TCL models had more screens with DSE (dirty screen effect) than they should have. Note that with any tech, you'll hear more complaints than you will praise. That said, it appears that they've addressed their quality control issues, because I'm hearing less about this. Personally, I wouldn't tolerate this issue to any degree, so I was prepared to return the TV if my set had demonstrated the defect. It's an artifact that's immediately apparent if you know what to look for, and it doesn't get worse (or better) with time. Fortunately, my TV does not have the issue, and again, that's what you should expect with these later models. The grey uniformity is superb, and I really scrutinized it with some readily available test patterns. So, what's all this talk about an issue that my TV doesn't have? That's just it. There's very little else to report as everything else performs as it should. 4K UHD sources are absolutely beautiful, but surprisingly so is SDR (standard dynamic range), and honestly I have more SDR 1080p content than I do 4K UHD. You can get an image that's very, very good right out of the box with one of the presets. However, if you're into tinkering, to get a little more out of it, I recommend you download the Roku app on your mobile device. This is the only way the end-user can make some more professional adjustments, namely the gamma. Do a search for this in the audio-video forums. While you're there get some advice about other minor tweaks that will really perfect your image. I'm an Android OS guy, so this was my first real experience with the Roku software. It's very snappy, and responsive. The interface is quite elegant and intuitive. I still like my Android streaming box, so while I played around with the Roku apps, I really intend to focus on my Android box. I was happy to see that you can make a change in the software settings so that you're not required to navigate the Roku software if you don't want to. You can easily program it such that when you turn it on, it tunes to the pre-determined input without having to interact. In terms of fit and finish, there's more metal than I expected, and it's flawless. It's a little thicker than some other TVs of it's size and class, but still wall-mountable. The plastic cling-wrap that protects it during shipment is a bit of a nuisance to remove. There are still a few remaining pieces in the crevasses on the back of my TV. Physical setup is simple assuming you're using the legs that come with the TV. 2 screws each, and you're done. You will need a helper just given the size of the TV. When you put the legs on the TV, you should simply invert the TV. I would avoid laying the TV flat on it's screen or back, regardless of whether you're laying it on a blanket or mattress. You're just asking for trouble by doing that even though some of the instructions depict doing just that. Overall, I'm very happy with this TV. Full-array local dimming and a wide color gamut are features that are typically reserved for sets outside of this price range. TCL is really making a statement with these.

Great picture, especially with sports
||Posted . Owned for 4 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We got the 75" version which has a 120Hz refresh rate and the picture is great! Previously we didn't really notice picture quality, but now after having this TV and the great picture it provides, we notice the lag when watching sports on other TVs. The built in Roku system is great - no need to plug something else into the back of your TV. This one seamlessly allows you to download all of the apps that you need. The one negative of this TV is the remote - it doesn't pick up well and you really have to point it right at the TV.

Very good TV for the price
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent deal. Nice color and very black blacks. The volume is a bit low but it is not a big deal. It is very clear though. The color setting (specially the skin tones) needs to be adjusted when first set up. Again this is hust a one time thing so it does not construe a deficiency. Enough HDMI inputs to satisfy most needs (I use an amplifier and all my inputs go through it so I really only needed one input but is nice yo have extras if needed). A plus is that this TV has Roku incorporated in it and I just really like how easy ROKU is to use.

Insane value for an outstanding TV!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did an inordinate amount of research prior to making this purchase, and all the critics/pundits are right - this is absolutely one of the finest, best values in electronics today. Replaced a 60" Sharp that was probably one of the dumbest "smart" TV's ever...this one is incredibly snappy with the connections, the Roku interface is super intuitive and takes about ten seconds to learn. No more Firestick needed, my Prime account was linked in no time and that's a freed-up HDMI port. Wish the remote had the mic and headphone jack but that's BB for you. The TV picture itself is flawless; ran up against about 15 different 4K videos on Youtube that all streamed perfectly, no hiccups, no jarring, nothing. I game frequently and the 12ms lag in Game Mode is the best you'll find among any TV brand. Insane. Auto-HDR detect for PS4 Pro and Xbox OneX as well; games look surreal. Even the TV speakers are surprisingly good - still have the soundbar rocking for movies and such but for a pair of 8W speakers, they can kick pretty well. Just make sure you have a wide enough base if you don't plan on mounting; the legs that come with are small but incredibly stable with a bit of stick to them. I ended up having to invert the legs so they faced each other in order to sit on my fireplace/entertainment center for a week or so prior to mounting it where the old 60" was - and it was perfectly (amazingly) stable that way. All in all, couldn't be more pleased with the purchase at $1299 - you'd be a fool to throw away hundreds more on an equivalent Sony or Samsung. Check out CNET and TechRadar's reviews on this TV and be prepared to jump ship! Can't wait to see what else TCL has up their sleeve in the future!

Very nice
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Just recently purchased this TV, and I am thoroughly satisfied so far. I use it fairly casually, however, any obvious issues with picture quality or ease of use would be highly aggravating to me, and I have not run into any criticisms as of yet. Picture quality is excellent and the Roku interface is easy to use and intuitive. The feature set and quality at this price point (purchased on sale, $100 off) leaves me with nothing more to desire. Otherwise, I would have moved up to an OLED, however, decided not to due to the associated (significantly) higher price and burn-in issues.

outstanding!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We like everything about this TV. We replaced a Sony 63" rear projection unit which still had a very good picture, it was just lacking in features (circa 2006). Starting at the top, the packaging was excellent for this TV. Probably the best I've seen for any product. Setup was quick and easy. The old TV used optical cables, this TV I was able to use the HDMI ARC cables. Picture right out of the box looked flawless. I still have not made any adjustments, but will eventually get to tweak it some. The only issue I had was not being able to get any sound out of the rear center channel. Initially I thought this was related to the TV settings, but after playing around some, it was related to incorrect settings on our Marantz receiver. Once we corrected that, the sound is as exceptional as the picture. This new TV enabled us to cut cable and that is saving us roughly $150 a month. Hoo-Rah! The built-in Roku is easy and fun to use. Overall we are really pleased with the purchase. Exceptional across the board.

More than happy!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve had this for 3 months now and am extremely pleased with it! Great picture, Roku platform is good, and no screen issues. The only con is the included remote, it has to be “line of sight” and fairly close to the TV to work correctly. I bought the upgraded voice control Roku remote and have had no issues with it or the Roku iPhone app. I looked at a ton of TVs and went with the TCL for it’s bang for the buck and would purchase it again!

TCL Roku TV
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We love this tv! If you use Roku, this tv is perfect! Great viewing from multiple locations in the living room. Originally intended to add speakers, but speaker system didn’t have much better sound than TV so we have just stuck with the sound from the TV. It uses a simple Roku remote, has the ability to plug n play DVD, antenna, or other devices if desired. We can seemlessly cast YouTube and other videos from our iPhones as well. Great picture! Will buy TCL again.

Great picture looks like OLED
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This tv has a great picture that looks like an OLED panel except brighter. Black colors are black not dark grey like other TV's I've owned. One down side is there is no Bluetooth connection which I thought the TV had. It does have some sort of Bluetooth connection but it only connects with TCL or ROKU speakers. The TV I purchased has excellent color uniformity unlike my LG that broke after 14 months of use. I highly recommend this TV for picture quality, sound and a very simple to use Roku remote.

Cadillac without the Cadillac price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Upgraded from a Sharp Aquos 3D 70 inch, which was a great tv (still is IMHO). 4K/Dolby Vision streaming is a delight. Xbox 1x is also tasty. It took me a second to notice the improvement, but once I did.. nice.. Regular tv will look a little pixelated at first, but you get used to it. The tv is too big, so there’s no way around that. For the price you can’t beat it. Especially compared to its more expensive counterparts.

||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV. The picture is amazing everything is so clear and the black are very deep. I would say this is a close to an OLED TV as you can get. We love the built in Roku and all the streaming channels.

Bought to replace a Plasma
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This TV for the price rocks. I have it in the Garage Mahal and the mafia love it. Football games are crystal clear and refresh rate... what refresh rate.... no lag! Looking forward to hockey this Thursday Sabres opening night, this TV was made for the speed of NHL. The only thing is I am having a little complication with a dts surround sound system, but my Bose speaker connected in a minute.

Amazing television for the money
||Posted . Owned for 11 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Awesome 4k television! Great picture and convenient for cable cutters with the built in Roku for ease of accessing different apps. For the price, I don’t think there is a better valued TV on the market. Great picture and the sound isn’t horrible, however, I do recommend a sound bar to maximize the experience. Overall, I highly recommend this TV

Absolutely Love This TV
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I love this TV. The picture quality is stunning. It is easy to use. I bought the extended warranty for piece of mind and had the Geek Squad deliver and set it up along with a new sound bar. I also took their advice and got a Harmony remote so one remote controls everything now. Everyone who sees it praises the picture quality and wants to know who made it. I highly recommend this TV.

Great Picture, Unbeatable Price
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I did several days worth of research to determine which TV I wanted and I could have taken CNET's word that this TV is hands down the best buy. I love the crisp picture; my go to for picture quality is still a bluray of James Cameron's Avatar and this TV has a clear picture of all of the wonder of Pandora. The price is absolutely unbeatable for a 75" TV with this level of viewing pleasure. I highly recommend the TCL 6 series.

Tv kicks butt
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A year ago I was on the fence between the Sony 900f in 75inch . At the time. This was half the price . Yes the Sony was slightly brighter . Other wise I couldn’t justify the extra 1700 cost . The tcl has great blacks period . Tv looks good in my living room. Night time viewing is great. No light bleed since it’s a full array . This tv has great blacks and decent motion control compared to other TVs in its price range . This is 120hrz true panel only on the 75inch though . Only negative I’ve noticed is there is some at times slight color banding on internet streaming .. mainly open ocean panS...you will need to calibrate it . online helps . Otherwise I’m happy after a year of owning it . I heard this one 6 series out beats the new 8 series far as the reflections and gaming response . You gain more color with the 8 though
