    Nice TV until it breaks. TCL doesn't care.

    While the TV has been great when it worked, about 14 months after purchase, the screen stopped working with white bands across it. In researching the internet, I've seen at least two other TVs of the same model that experienced the same issue. While I accept blame for not having purchased an extended warranty, my reasoning is that in my entire life, I have never had a TV that died less than 5 years after purchase. Perhaps I've been extremely lucky in that, but we have another 6-series TV that's still working after 4 years. At this point, since TCL couldn't care less about their product, my advice is to move on to another brand, if you don't want to deal with the hassle of dragging it out to the curb for garbage collection.

Our TVs are carefully designed and engineered to give our customers years of entertainment. Our TVs do come with a 1-year manufacturer's warranty for those rare times that defects occur. In cases like this, if you purchased an extended warranty, you may want to reach out to see if you can file a warranty claim through the extended warranty company. Furthermore, if you purchased using a credit card, some credit card companies also provide additional coverage.     This TV looks and works great. It upscales HD & 4K to 8K seamlessly. There are 8k YouTube videos available that blow my mind with the color and clarity. It also has some of the deepest blacks I’ve seen on a TV. I’ve recently cut cable, so the integrated Roku app fills the gap for my streaming services. My one real (yet minor) complaint is that the remote is IR-based so the remote needs line-of-sight to the receiver where most Roku remotes use Wi-Fi. It also works with my Xbox One with almost every video setting maxed out. I say almost because I had to disable “allow variable refresh rate” on the Xbox due to flickering issues. Other than that, it looks and plays beautifully at 120hz in HDR or HDR10. It also looks and plays beautifully in Dolby Vision.

    Not Worth The Hassle

    I would avoid this TV. Like the TV a lot except that many YouTube videos have a green line down the right side of the screen. If the video is shot in portrait mode (like on a phone), the line moves closer to the center of the screen. A video will not have the line one minute, then go back and replay the same video and it's there. Factory reset temporarily fixes it, and going to another app and coming back temporarily fixes it. Contacted TCL. They wanted pictures and videos. They attempted to repair it twice, first time replacing all the boards, second time replacing only the main board. The TV began experiencing backlight issues both times so original boards went back in and they replaced the TV. Same thing on the 2nd unit. Sent video again and they replaced the TV a second time. Now on the 3rd TV and the issue remains. I've never seen this happen on any TV of any resolution or size, and was told I was "the only person reporting this issue". To me, this is unacceptable, especially for an 8K TV. I'm literally done and will never buy anything from TCL again.

    Disappointed that I was asked to take credit card option before purchase to avail 10% discount then price match caused further problems. None of the options worked. Value for money but 8K innovation is not matched with other brands. Looks like old technology in the TV as Roku contract is no more available. Somehow I liked 4K mini-led QLED in same 6 series is better with Google TV. Dolby Atmos speakers and in built woofer was not really good.

    Excellent picture. Upgraded from a Samsung UHD curved tv. Picture quailing is the same as the Samsung 8k that we saw in the store. Very happy. Love the Roku. Only bad is it is heavy, about 85 lbs. but still well worth it. Like the picture adjustments for movie, sports, etc. you can see the sweat on football players. Excellent tv.

    This an amazing 8k tv for the price. We have two LG OLED TVs in addition to several other TVs which are actually 4K and non-OLED . This is easily the best TV picture quality wise next to the OLED especially with the 8K outside of the infinite contrast ratio for OLED it does get close but it certainly can’t match an OLED. THE 8k upscaling is awesome!! We have watched plenty of movies and games on it and compared it to the OLED as well as the other TVs this is definitely our go to.

    I had a bad experience with the TV I was using it as a monitor to play in 8k with an rtx3090, when I entered a game to play in 8k the image started flickering and I restarted the TV I made a different setting I could never run the 8k stable in game and the TV must be viewed from the front because the image when viewed from the side loses quality of focus, very noticeable, I had to return it.

    The only thing worse than this TV is the warranty. Stay away from TCL. I had it for less than 10 months before it died. It’s still sitting in the hallway, waiting for some resolve from TCL. Good picture but not great. Runs very hot Freezes when paused and have to unplug and plug to restart. Takes a pretty long time to start Terrible/no warranty support.

    No replacement for defective unit.

    Purchased an "open Box" unit. Listed as excellent condition. No power cord, after getting the run around, finally got to talk to the store manager and he told the tech to just pull one from a display unit. A few weeks after getting it setup, the video would not play, apps load as normal but no video, just audio. You have to unplug it and restart it to get video. I purchased the total protection package and called them. They replaced one board 2 times and it still does the same thing. GS told me I needed to call TCL. When I did they said the warranty was no longer valid since GS opened the case and replaced the card. huh? Finally got through to someone at =GS and now all I can do is replace the tv, but no, it's not available to replace now and all I get is credit for what I paid.

    This 8K set is absolutely Fantastic ! Don't listen to the negative review some have no clue how to set up a set the right way. Even before calibration the set is very good sharp clear picture right up there with the Samsung's and Sony's. Put a bit more effort in the set like calibration and WoW its so beautiful. Look at you tube for reviews also all glowing about this set.

    $2500 75” 8k tv failed in under 6 months. 26 days since the panel failed and I’m still trying to get it replaced. Do your homework on TCL reliability and warranty service problems or you coukd get stuck with a lemon like i have.

    I bought this on sale for $2699 after reading many reviews and researching information about it on YouTube. This TV is incredibly awesome during all viewing activity especially gaming. I wish my local Best Buy had one on display because they’d sell twice as many of these over Samsungs 8k. TCL continues to step up their game.

    As a ROKU Fan, as soon as I saw this TV I wanted to test it. I've never had a TCL item but for the price and features I think it's definitely worth a try. There is some 8K content using the Explorers App, Will be looking for more. Really like what I see so far. Needs a soundbar (Sony A9 please get here!!) for the bass.
