The display is ok. The tv size looks great yet the features are so limited I’ll be returning this product. CAN NOT CAST to the tv b/c this model is the one before that installed this feature. B/c google is the processor, many apps aren’t available for download as with my roku tv’s.

This TV purchase has been disappointing. The TV is frustratingly slow when opening apps, often taking up to 2 minutes. I consistently encounter issues trying to open apps like Amazon and Netflix; they frequently error out. It seems you truly get what you pay for, and the low price for an 85-inch TV under $1000 reflects its cheap and poor-quality construction.

First time trying it TCL TV and it'll be my last. The Google TV operating system is ridiculously slow on this TV compared to my old Chromecast with Google TV. There's no way the processor on a TV in 2024 should be worse than that little dongle that I've had for years. Then today for about 15 minutes, every single app that I've used has had problems displaying video and a static bar on the bottom.

This platform's integration has made my viewing experience incredibly convenient. I can access a wide array of apps and content from the Google ecosystem, all from the comfort of my couch. What's truly impressive is the TV's compatibility with both Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant. With voice commands, I have a hands-free experience, minimizing the need to fumble with the remote. This is a game-changer for me, and I absolutely love it. Furthermore, the option to create a dedicated Google account for this TV or link my existing one ensures that I can seamlessly pick up where I left off with YouTube videos. This was a huge selling point for my family, as we're avid YouTube watchers. It's a feature that has greatly enhanced our viewing experience and was a key factor in our decision to purchase this TV. Remote Control Convenience and User-Friendly Interface The remote control that comes with this TV is a breeze to use. The quick access buttons for favorite streaming services like Netflix and Prime Video are a godsend. It's incredibly convenient to press a button and dive right into our favorite shows and movies. The only minor gripe I have is the proximity of the back button to the volume control. Occasionally, we inadvertently hit the back button when trying to adjust the volume. While this can be a tad annoying, it's not a major issue. Once you become accustomed to the remote's layout, finding what you need becomes a breeze. Impressive Sound Quality - A Surprising Delight The sound quality of this TV exceeded our expectations. It delivers a near-surround sound experience, which is a pleasant surprise. Sound quality is important to us, and even though we have a separate surround sound system, we often find ourselves tired of adjusting it. Having exceptional sound quality built into this television was a huge bonus and was yet another feature that convinced us to choose this TV. Overall Satisfaction - A Worthy Investment In summary, I have no complaints about this TV. It has proven to be the best investment we've made this year. The outstanding customer service provided by Best Buy, particularly the Geek Squad, throughout the entire purchasing and installation process was top-notch. They were professional, took the time to address our questions, and ensured our satisfaction. Best Buy and the Geek Squad in Compton certainly know how to take care of their customers. If you're in the market for a TV that offers a seamless and user-friendly entertainment experience, along with surprisingly excellent sound quality, the TCL 85" Class Q6 QLED HDR Smart TV with Google TV is a superb choice. It's been a game-changer for our home entertainment setup, and I couldn't be happier with our purchase.

Arrived broken, had tu buy another one and spent more than what I had budgeted

I love this TV!!! The picture is insane! I could not beat the price. I'm using a TCL sound bar set I had from a random Black Friday sale and it made the sound even better. I was skeptical, but this turned out to be an awesome purchase. The google interface is pretty great too. Used it a lot before adding an Apple device, but really would have been fine with just using Google.

I recently purchased the TCL 85-inch TV, and overall, I’m very impressed with what I got for the price. For such a large screen, this TV offers excellent value without breaking the bank. The picture quality is fantastic, especially when watching 4K content. The colors are vibrant, and the contrast is solid—HDR content really pops, and I can notice the difference when watching Dolby Vision movies.

This is a decent middle of the road TV. The pricing was competitive, and it's a good bang for the buck based on the size/dimensions. The display is bright, 4K UHD is a plus (1080P looks silly on this) and it has Google TV vs. ROKU. My PS5 works seamlessly with this...so far no complaints. My only gripes are the input changes are a little delayed, and when you power up the TV - it defaults to Google TV vs. the last input e.g. your cable provider. Do not lose your TCL Remote or you will be stranded! My two cents...

I haven’t upgraded my tv since I moved out to Washington from Massachusetts as my old tv wouldn’t fit in the car when I drove cross country I was forced to only bring my older 46 inch tv and sell the one that diddnt fit in my car before I moved out here. The tv quality is really good and at first I was skeptical of purchasing something that wasn’t lg Sony or Samsung. I am now glad that I went with this model as it is a google owned company and high quality TV. This TV has greatly improved my viewing experience of my favorite animes and other shows!

Nice QLED TV for the price. Remote is ok, but would have liked something a little more substantial. It seems like some lag from it when you hit a button to when the tv makes the change. My other TCL TVs don’t have that issue. I have a sound bar, but speakers were decent. I wouldn’t pay full price for the tv if I was still in the market for one. I haven’t really viewed much 4K content on it yet. The tv replaced a 4 year old 75 inch LG. I’ll update my review down the road if I feel my opinion has changed.

When shopping for an 85 inch TV, I had to stay within my budget and originally wanted a Samsung TV. But after reading countless reviews from consumers and technical websites (for hours and hours), the 85 inch Samsungs in my price range couldn't compete with this TCL TV in terms of picture, gaming ability, viewing angle, blackness level and some others things important to me. I was skeptical before the purchase though because Samsung has been making TVs for so much longer. But TCL was recently made "Official TV of the NFL", LOL, so that helped a bit. I putchased and mounted this thing and it is a thing of beauty. Phenomenal picture, gaming is great on it, sports look incredible on it and i couldn't be happier. I cant comment on the sound this puts out though because I have mine set up on a phenomenal quality surround sound system. But the picture can't be beat unless ur spending way, way more than I wanted to spend on a TV. If this is in your budget, dont hesitate. It can compete with all the big names. And I love that it is a Google TV and all the apps that come with it. There's also Google TV, something that I never even heard of- u can watch all kinds of channels on there. Love this TV and highly recommend it.

Picture is excellent, sound is quite good. Haven't even hooked up my sound bar to it, and may not. TV is just great for the average viewer, which we are, especially at this price. And it's big; visually dominates the room. The Google interface is quite cluttered and apps are slow to load, so we stayed with our Roku Ultra, which fixed that problem completely. Definitely recommended.

The picture is vibrant and the colors are outstanding. The sound is ok but is better paired with a soundbar.

I was so surprised at how great this TV looks, the QLED picture is so amazing, the quality of brightness and colors you will enjoy. and the TV is slim and is mounted on the wall so well, I usually buy Samsung, but I am now a fan of TCL. Also, there are many features built-in.

The good: it supports bo5h HDR10+ and Dolby Vision. Alot of name brands will only suport 1 of those formats. Some movies and xbox games are in 1 of those formats and if you have a Tv that only supports 1 of those, bummer. But this TV supports both so you are covered. The picture is great, and the price, even better. The bad: there is no descrete IR inputs even with after market smart remotes. You cant jump to input 2, or send a "power on" only command. It runs on Google TV which is good and bad, the bad is that if you step away for 10 minutes after pausing, it will return to home and you have to relaunch the app you were on, re choose the user inside that app, then navigate or search back for the show you were watching and you just want to be able to hit play/resume. Nope. Only work around is getting a Roku stick and accessing your apps from there to pause and not warry about returning to home screen. Overall: well worth it.
