This TV is Exceptional not only for the price, but in general in comparison to the competition. My prior experience is based of of the first generation of 2020 Gaming Tvs. Upgrading from a 75”. The 85” TCL QM7 is and excellent tv after a month straight of usage. Came out of the box and has a clean and slim design for all of the technology packed in. Powered it up,tested panel uniformity, built in speakers, UHD HDR streaming quality in all formats, follwed but UHD HDR Blu-rays, and finally gaming on both ps5/series x. The tv was incredibly bright and has outstanding picture quality in HDR Content. The picture profile will definitely need some adjusting according to taste as i found my set leaning heavily red but is absolutely stunning after tuning in. Gaming did great as well with the 120hz hdmi handshake going through flawlessly. Color is great and picture is crystal clear in both dolby vision gaming and hdr10. Tv also handled uncompressed audio passthrough for Dolby atmos and DTS Master content with the sound system. CEC works perfect as well. Awesom back lit remote and fits perfectly into my already established google home. Would love to give 5 star but tv is lacking in uspcaling content sub 1080p but i watch almost exclusively UHD content so not a problem for me. The mini leds are the star of the show for me producing sharp highlights and Deep dark blacks with no blooming the eye can pick up and excellent transition zones from dark to light area of the screem providing a flawless viewing experience. Don’t hesitate to look on youtube for tips and guides to help get the results to what your looking for as this tv is packed with features. Almost a 5 start tv, regardless of price, at half the cost of the competition. Thats a go in my book.

I recently set up my theater room and added this TV. I can confidently say its an absolutely excellent TV. From the moment I turned it on. Easy to set up and amazing color and sound.

Excellent picture! Love the size of it. Pairs well with a Klipsch Audio Reference 1200 Soundbar & Subwoofer for an immersive home theater experience. Note: Would not recommend this setup if you do not have a house, as the sound level will easily irritate your neighbors.

Most people focus on the name/brand of the TV when purchasing. My husband and I went to Best Buy and looked at all TV’s on display. TCL had one of the best quality pictures and the Price was very affordable. We have had this TV for a couple a months now and I am still amazed at the pictures quality, the vibrant colors and just the TV in general. We would normally purchase based on the name/brand which we did with our last TV and it only lasted 2 years. TCL is one of the best TV’s we have ever purchased. It’s also very affordable.

Good picture and good features for price. Settings out of the box could use some improvement. Does require some setting adjustments to get rid of motion blur for fast movements while watching sports.

By far this is going to be the sleeper of the year. Very few people have their reviews out and I feel like TCL didnt provide units so that it didnt cannibalize their QM8 sales. Someone else complained about a click sound. Thats just the power supply, and every single one of my TVs do this except maybe my C1. If you hear a click for power and everything is working, then there’s no issue with your set. Other customer gave poor review for a problem that wasnt a problem and a software issue that likely could be managed with settings. Then giving the TV a low rating because the delivery was botched. No one is here to see your opinion on a broken TV.

You get a lot of tv. This is definitely not the typical quality of an "offbrand". Clear image, decent built in sound, plenty input options, and the smart tv options usually work flawlessly. Stream casting comes with its hiccups, but that's usually not the television itself at fault. Not the cheapest, but also not the most expensive option for the amount of technology you get. My only negative is that it is an extremely glossy screen, so beware of bright lights and windows that can cause glare. Adjusting the image at first can be tricky as well.

Best bang for your buck TV of 2024. Upgrading from an old 2014 TV so also not a home theater wiz, but the OS is responsive, picture quality is great, and quite bright. Just a warning that it is not enough to overcome glare from the sun, so blackout curtains are still highly recommended.

Excellent picture, I really liked how they packaged the TV to ensure it arrived undamaged. Super easy setup. Really like the remote, good buttons and I like how it is backlit.

Better looking than my Bravia x85k that only lasted 18 months. HDR with good source looks amazing regardless of room brightness. Local dimming works like it should. Gaming from PC seems to work fine can't quite figure out 144hz mode but I can get 120hz no problem. TV built in speakers are pretty solid. Judder and motion settings are good once dialed in. Lower quality content like sports from a cable box are okay. I wanted all the specs and was comparing this to the hisense glad I went this route

Love the TV. I feel it’s a little pixelated but picture quality is great on YouTube, PlayStation, etc.

This is an amazing tv love it the size and the clarity of the image. It took a little time to set up but now is al going great. O can see it anywhere in my condo with clarity. I still enjoy e every time I get in the room and think this is one of my best toys. I watch a lot of anime and the images are clear a very bright. Love this tv hope it last long.

There is a lot of good with this tv. It is very bright, dont know why you would even need to buy the QM8 if you want brightness. Local dimming is excellent, i am very sensitive to bloom and its non existent. BUT here is where it goes wrong, and ive tried every motion setting there is, i dont know if it is just my unit but the motion handling is either really bad or there is a lot of ghosting. Either way watching movies on disney plus gives me the feeling if car sickness. You can see a picture trail where things are moving from and jutters. Its too big to return and others in my family dont really notice anything. My daily tv is a samsung s90c and i feel like it handles motion much better but for the price of $1,499 it was hard to pass on it for the size. Can be a great tv for those not sensitive to jutters and ghosting. Not recommending though because it is so hard for me to watch movies, which is what we bought it for

Excellent TV. The picture is very bright and the black is actually black. The remote is easy to use and the menus are laid out comfortably.

Excellent tv at the price point. If you can get one I recommend. Looks great and has a good easy to navigate interface. While I don’t use it, it does also have a giant speaker on the back that sounds better than the average tv speaker

Picture is great and awesome quality. The sound is great, we noticed even without our own sound bar add it sound really good.

Size is so immersive. I added an LED sync box to add dynamic lighting to the back of the TV with an Apple TV that I already owned and movie nights are amazing. Picture quality is great, no complaints. Working on adding a sound system for a perfect setup.
