    My trial with TCL sound system

    I would say that for movies and such it was a pretty good set up, especially when paired along with TCL TV. I did not like the quality of sound or power when it came to music so I went with something else.

    Product works great. Wish the little speakers play sound the whole time. I’m not an engineer though. Bass is amazing.

    This item was returned after about a week of trying to make it sound acceptable. Dolby Atmos sounds pretty great, everything else, not so much. Mid tones over power all dialogue. The rear surrounds almost always had a “wind” sound that was very distracting. Treble was nonexistent.

    Poor quality sound

    Sound levels are all over the place, ads are louder than shows. Center chanel dialogue is way too low compared to the surround sound, even when the surround sound volume is set to low and voice clarity setting is on. Unable to update firmware with an android phone. No ability to adjust individual speaker channels. Would not recommend this soundbar.

    I bought it cause I had a good sale but if I paid full price I would be mad, the sound quality sounds like some average speaker for half the price.

    Sold me a defective product!

    I bought the soundbar at the NLR store. After paying for it they said I would have to go to the WLR store to get it. I didn't like that.They did not have it in stock. I picked it up in WLR. That is a 2 hour round trip for me. It was obvious when I had it home that it had been put back in the box after being used. I hooked it up and it worked at first but started having various problems later. I took it back to the NLR store to return but it was after the 14 day timeframe they give. They told me I would have to call the manufacturer. It was less than a month but more than 14 days. It was used...I should have taken it back when I unpacked it. I showed Best Buy the pictures I took when I opened the box. Batteries in the remote. Cords were all thrown in one bag with no ties...ect. The man told me it was not Best Buy policy to sell something like that. He supposedly went to his manager but in a few seconds he came back and said he could not take as a return. Not happy with the whole experience. I probably won't go back. Bad customer service all the way around. Nothing like Wal-Mart, Sam's or Amazon. They sold me a defective product that someone had returned, Bottom Line...I did call the manufacturer. They had me "reboot" the soundbar. I am sure I will have more problems down the road.

    Defective out of the box. TCL wasted all sorts of my time making excuses and kicking the can down the road. Over 1 week went by when TCL tells me to return the item to Best Buy. Call Best Buy - Agent tells me he ordered a replacement and I can bring the defective soundbar in to the local store and exchange it for the replacement. Supposed to arrive at the local store on Jan. 24 - I am supposed to get an email when it arrives. No email on the 24th. Call customer service - it's like having my teeth pulled. Go to chat - waste a bunch of time to be told the replacement was damaged so Best Buy cancled the order. Never bothered to inform me. Also told BB can't replace the defective unti because their policiy only allows for 1 replacement. I ask for a supervisor - and wait 48 minutes with absolutley no response from the supervisor. TCL failed miserably. Then Best Buy said "hold my beer" and showed TCL what failure is all about.

    Although the sound bar sounds great, the surround sound speakers dont work! Unfortunately i purchased this almost 3 months ago. What a waste of $500!

    This sound bar doesn't have any controls over the different functions. You cannot control the subwoffer, it has a low, medium, and high setting, no other controls. You cannot manually con trol the separation of the channels, or change the volume of the rear channels.
