Exactly what I expected to receive. I’m a little more of an “advanced” DIY’er, and it was as easy of an install as I’ve ever seen. Straightforward, clear instructions- so your local licensed electrician should have no issues installing it- don’t attempt if you aren’t certain of what you’re doing. multiple friends of mine were told they had to upgrade their service to handle the tesla charger- and that can be VERY costly if you have to pay someone. Educate yourself ahead of time AND find a licensed professional. Best Buy did great on their part. Box showed up in great shape, in a timely manner, and was actually hidden from street view. (Bonus points). Quality purchase through a quality business.

This is a game changer if you live in a place where you can install it. It’s so convenient to come home from work everyday and just leave the car charging, and wake up to a full charge every morning. It’s a much cheaper alternative to supercharging as well. I had electricians pre-wire everything for me and when the charger came in I installed it myself following videos and instructions. I haven’t been to a supercharger since I got this 1 months ago. I really love this product.

Works great. Got it installed on a 50A breaker, so the car charges at 40A. More than fast enough even in the winter, when the car has to pull some more energy to heat the battery. The app tracks charging sessions and cost.

After purchasing myself a tesla, I realized I needed to be able to charge at home. Having this charger makes life so much easier inconvenient. It has some unique features to only allow charging during non peak times which helps save on electricity cost. I am able to control the charger and my vehicle through the app. All though superchargers are still cheaper then gas it's still nice to be have a stage 2 charger at home that chargers my car while I sleep.

Didn’t know that Best Buy sold this! Glad I found out. Was able to get my electrician to install this and it’s an incredible home charger. When done properly you can charge your Tesla at 48amps and it’s very convenient. Recommend this to anyone looking for a home charging alternative. The handle and cable are also much higher quality than the mobile connector that you can buy with Tesla. The set up is also very easy and once done, can connect to your home Wi-Fi to update consistently. Hopefully down the line Tesla adds functionality within the native app!

After using the mobile connector plugged into a standard outlet for 4 years, I finally decided to upgrade. Wish I purchased it 4 years ago. This is a game changer, faster charger, cord not on the floor. Easy install.

The Tesla Wall Connector has been working really well for me. I’m consistently able to get up to 40A, which charges my vehicle to 80% in about 4.5 hours—perfect for overnight or daytime top-ups. The 24' cable length offers plenty of flexibility, and installation was straightforward. I also recommend using the Tesla app to track charging usage and schedule charge times—it adds a lot of convenience and insight. Overall, a solid investment for any Tesla owner.

Overall an awesome charger that charges my Tesla MY very fast. Gets it done within 4 hours which is more than good enough for me. Setup also seemed very simple although I did hire a electrician. He mentioned Tesla chargers were simpler to install, which I totally agree. It also doesn't get too hot and cable is sturdy and built well. 10/10 would buy again and would recommend to every car owner who has NACS port.

The Tesla Wall Connector is very nice to have. I started out using the mobile connector attached to a 120v outlet on a 15 amp circuit and could get about 18-20% power at 3-4 miles added per hour added to the car overnight depending on when I plugged in. For the most part, this was fine. However, after long drives, I wouldn't be able to get a full charge without stopping at a supercharger. I decided to get this charger so I had more options at home. Unfortunately, my house is on the older side an my existing 100 amp electrical panel was full, I had to upgrade to a new electrical panel and 200 amp service. This wasn't cheap and quite a bit more than I expected even after checking with several electricians ($450 for the charger and $5,000 for the panel upgrade and charger installation). I went with the local electrician that was on Tesla's certified installer list. A $1500 PSEG credit will lower that final cost somewhat. As for the charger, it's great to have. I don't have a usable garage so the charger is installed outside. It is highly water resistant, so this isn't an issue. I can charge 10x faster than before if I need to. I went from 39% to 80% in about 3 hours the first time I used it. So much better. The Tesla app is really handy. With it I can schedule charging so that it happens during "off-peak" hours. In my area that is 9 pm to 7 am. Charges vary by season but off-peak charging is noticeably less. I can also change the charging rate, i.e. - I can change the amperage provided by the wall connector so the vehicle charges more slowly. I've read charging slower is better for the battery so that is what I'm doing unless I need to charge faster. Another feature is I can add approved vehicles to a list in the app. If a vehicle is not on the approved list, it cannot charge on my connector. This will prevent unauthorized people from using it if I'm not home. The app also calculates how much money you saved using an EV vs a gasoline vehicle. Is it perfect... no. I wish they made the charging cable changeable. This would be good if the cable is damaged or a little too short for your application. Being able to install a longer cable would be a great option. Our installer mentioned to us that a surprising number of people drive over the cable damaging it so being able to change the cable without buying a new base would be nice. Additionally, connector wire can block the opening you attach the charging head to if it is wound too tightly. The cost to install if you don't have a modern electrical service can also be a major deterrent. To conclude, if you have a Tesla and room in your electrical panel for an additional 240v, 60 amp circuit breaker, this is almost a no-brainer purchase. If you need electrical upgrades to install this, you might want to consider using the portable charger and local superchargers or level 2 chargers before spending the money. I decided to upgrade despite the cost and I'm happy I did.

Simple online ordering. Charger works as described. We went from 6 miles per hour charging on 110V to 35 miles per hour with this hardwired 220V charger.

I suddenly purchased a Tesla and realized that I needed a home charger. Since it was somewhat urgent, I looked around and ended up buying one at Best Buy. The store staff were very friendly, the product price was very reasonable, and the ordering process was easy and straightforward. In particular, the additional benefits I received by applying for the Best Buy credit card were very helpful, and I was really satisfied with the overall experience.

Sleek design and powerful tesla charger for home use

If you own a Tesla having this wall charger is a no brainer. It just works and the convenience is worth the cost. We have them mounted near the front of the garage and can run the cable under the door if the vehicle is parked outside.
