No batteries to replace is great, the solar panel is sufficient in most lighting conditions. Comes with a cover for the front, great for protecting the vulnerable panels and display while crushed in a backpack.

TI scientific calculator

It will do more that I know how to do right now, but as I add more skills, I know this calculator with step up to the plate.

My sons been using it for about 5 weeks now and it has been great. The buttons are easy to use and the display is decent size.

Negatives: only two lines of display, old technology, and no graphing. You can pay more for calculators that do graphing, but those calculators aren’t as easy to use as this one.
